The Urantia Book depicts the life of Jesus Christ in a more detailed and expanded account than what is commonly found in Christian religions ¹ ² ³:
- Jesus was born to Mary on August 21, 7 B.C. in 122:8.1
- Jesus was a divine personality who wanted to experience the life of a human being ¹.
- Jesus' life was divided into two purposes: to reveal God to the people of this world and others, and to demonstrate the potential spiritual height that a human being can attain ¹.
- Jesus taught people that they are all children of a loving God and are therefore brothers and sisters ¹.
- The Urantia Book narrates Jesus' life from birth to death, including details about his character, his relationships with his family and apostles, his travels, his miracles, his teachings and his parables ¹ ² ³.
136:2.4 When Jesus of Nazareth went down into the Jordan to be baptized, he was a mortal of the realm who had attained the pinnacle of human evolutionary ascension in all matters related to the conquest of mind and to self-identification with the spirit. He stood in the Jordan that day a perfected mortal of the evolutionary worlds of time and space. Perfect synchrony and full communication had become established between the mortal mind of Jesus and the indwelling spirit Adjuster, the divine gift of his Father in Paradise. And just such an Adjuster indwells all normal beings living on Urantia since the ascension of Michael to the headship of his universe, except that Jesus’ Adjuster had been previously prepared for this special mission by similarly indwelling another superhuman incarnated in the likeness of mortal flesh, Machiventa Melchizedek.
NOW
Summer starts tonight at nine
There may be storms before that time.
But we will sing through any storm.
Springtime storms are just the norm.
The day is young, it’s yet to be.
It will progress incrementally.
The now progresses on its own.
Are we aware of what is shown?
So you’re aware, but do you care?
Are you affected anywhere?
Can there be a better Good?
Do those things you know you should!
Attitude makes all the difference.
Look for Good, look for resplendence!
Imagine what can be the best
Then expect it, nothing less!
Improvement, that’s all we need do.
Progress on the Trail of Truth.
We can ride, or push, or drive.
We have our parts, we all derive.
Do your part the best you can.
When you’re stuck, ask for God’s Hand.
If your goals align with God’s
The sight inside you will enlarge.
Thank You, Father, it’s nice to be
Aware of Love, and how things will be.
But till then, we must expect
That progress made is circumspect.

66:6.2 When Christian missionaries go into the heart of Africa, where sons and daughters are supposed to remain under the control and direction of their parents throughout the lifetime of the parents, they only bring about confusion and the breakdown of all authority when they seek, in a single generation, to supplant this practice by teaching that these children should be free from all parental restraint after they have attained the age of twenty-one.
Powers
Wonder springs before my eyes.
This day is young, there’ll be surprise.
Good will spread on this fine day
As I decide to be that way!
Decisions that are made inside
Mistakes are there, one cannot hide.
Attitude’s the prime directive!
Our main decision is elective.
But advertising lies and cheats
To gain some power, truly stinks!
If your lead to go astray
Relentless courage you must display!
Acceptance of whom you have been.
Acceptance of a change within.
Direction of where one can go
Love’s the answer, blow by blow.
A change in what one thinks about
Can cause confusion, thoughts reroute.
New perspectives change what we
Truly, truly did believe.
Advancing in our social mores.
History shows our many forays.
Fighting, fighting, always wars
Are remembered, pretty poor!
Democratic states remembered.
Greece was there, but’s been dismembered.
Democracy’s under attack!
The powers that be want their powers back!
This world’s leaders do not want.
Democracy’s too eloquent.
Their vision has been warped by power.
Everyone of them’s gone sour.
A longer poem, yes today
But there was really much to say.
I hope and hope, but also pray
The world’s direction goes up today!
Thank You, Father, help me be
A force for Love within with Ye!
A focus for Your eloquence
And help me be intelligent.

100:4.5 In the mind’s eye conjure up a picture of one of your primitive ancestors of cave-dwelling times – a short, misshapen, filthy, snarling hulk of a man standing, legs spread, club upraised, breathing hate and animosity as he looks fiercely just ahead. Such a picture hardly depicts the divine dignity of man. But allow us to enlarge the picture. In front of this animated human crouches a saber-toothed tiger. Behind him, a woman and two children. Immediately you recognize that such a picture stands for the beginnings of much that is fine and noble in the human race, but the man is the same in both pictures. Only, in the second sketch you are favored with a widened horizon. You therein discern the motivation of this evolving mortal. His attitude becomes praiseworthy because you understand him. If you could only fathom the motives of your associates, how much better you would understand them. If you could only know your fellows, you would eventually fall in love with them.
Know-how
Anticipate the best today
We are going towards God’s Way.
We can feel it in our bones.
Everybody has a phone.
Communicators everywhere
We wear them like our underwear.
They’re a must, so we’re aware
Of our friends' feelings, we do care.
Texting, texting, info travels
Around the world as time unravels.
The world is half asleep at once.
Night and Day at twilight crunch.
Cycles on this earth exist.
We all live ours, we do subsist.
We’re all within the flow of time.
We’re all here by God’s design.
The plan includes what is to be.
Time flows on, relentlessly.
Progress is truly up to us.
Progress with God is what we trust.
Trust in that which is inside.
Find a leader for our tribe.
Trust in what He does decide.
To the way of God, we must abide.
Thank You, Father, the day bodes well.
The air is fresh where I do dwell.
Storms may come, but not for now.
We must advance our Spirit know how.

101:0.3 Religion, the conviction-faith of the personality, can always triumph over the superficially contradictory logic of despair born in the unbelieving material mind. There really is a true and genuine inner voice, that “true lightwhich lights every man who comes into the world.” And this spirit leading is distinct from the ethical prompting of human conscience. The feeling of religious assurance is more than an emotional feeling. The assurance of religion transcends the reason of the mind, even the logic of philosophy. Religion is faith
Pathways
I salute, the day begins.
There’s something in us deep within.
Look for it, then you’ve been found.
Realize we’re Heaven bound.
Do those things that must be done.
Look inside you’ll find it’s fun.
Make the world a better place.
Don’t worry now, just work with Faith.
You can find good things to do.
Truly look they’ll come to you.
Get involved, wishes come true.
Faith will truly get you through.
It’s a pattern under God.
Life is lived, problems get solved.
We improve upon our past.
We need to make more things that last.
We learn and learn most every day.
If we don’t learn we may turn gray.
Prematurely I might add.
Use your mind or you’ll be sad.
Sadness makes your world turn gray.
Why does Joy ever go away?
Faith restores color to your grays.
If nothing else learn how to pray.
Thank You, Father, for the chance
To join with You in life’s romance.
To learn the Spirit ways of life
Promotes awareness, Inner light.

19:5.8 Of more than twelve orders of beings associated with me at this time, the Solitary Messenger is the only one aware of the presence of these mysterious entities of the Trinity. And further, while we are thus apprised of the nearness of these divine Spirits, we are all equally ignorant of their mission. We really do not know whether they are merely interested observers of our doings, or whether they are, in some manner unknown to us, actually contributing to the success of our undertaking.
Mission
Here we go another day
Beauty tinged to start our way.
Blue skies cover all the sky
And sunlight dances in our eyes.
Goodness grows within our chest
I know in Heaven there is rest.
For now, we have so much to do
Just to live in peace with You.
War and peace, so opposite.
War seems our natural habitat.
A world without war lives in peace.
Can we achieve that and eat that feast?
Do you lead if you don’t care
About those lead, and if you’re fair?
Where you lead them, is it good?
Are you doing as you should?
Stand for Love and do some Good.
This world needs more than shoulds and coulds!
We need to be as we envision.
Perfecting better lives, our mission.
So yes, there’s much to do today.
A shift in how our mission sways
Those opposed to loving kindness.
We’ll sway them with their own refinement.
Thank You, Father, Love will be
The way this world finds victory.
Your Book is here, Your Son has come,
Our mission, here now, is not done.

During an epic journey in AD 70, the old sandal maker, Caleb, risks his life as he and his daughter battle their way from Cana in Galilee to Jerusalem in the midst of the Roman siege that destroys the Holy City. His intriguing story of the days of his youth, a fascinating tale of hardship, joy, and tears, is a revelation of Jesus of Nazareth’s mission and teachings as never before told. The amazing details from the notes of an onlooker, The Sandal Maker, inspire the mind, uplift the heart, and thrill the soul.
130:3.7 Jesus and Ganid spent much time in the museum during their stay in Alexandria. This museum was not a collection of rare objects but rather a university of fine art, science, and literature. Learned professors here gave daily lectures, and in those times this was the intellectual center of the Occidental world. Day by day Jesus interpreted the lectures to Ganid; one day during the second week the young man exclaimed: “Teacher Joshua, you know more than these professors; you should stand up and tell them the great things you have told me; they are befogged by much thinking. I shall speak to my father and have him arrange it.” Jesus smiled, saying: “You are an admiring pupil, but these teachers are not minded that you and I should instruct them. The pride of unspiritualized learning is a treacherous thing in human experience. The true teacher maintains his intellectual integrity by ever remaining a learner.”
Learning
The day begins with updates on.
They do download and sing their song.
In the background they install
Complete their missions, one and all
Automatic if it works.
So nice and easy, but with quirks.
Any update may cause change
And how you work upon your stage.
Perhaps a different click or two.
It has to work by different routes.
Time to learn a brand new way
Of doing what’s done every day.
Open up your mind and see
A path that leads increasingly
To enhancing/helping all around.
A plan with love involved is sound.
So yes, these updates are to help.
You do more work once you’ve dealt
With learning brand new ways of doing.
Improving how you have been grooving?
Trust the update is to help
Someone spent time giving of themsellf.
See if you can grok their thinking.
Perhaps they’ll be something worth seeing.
Thank You, Father, I know in time
Things work out, You are Divine.
Until then, by Faith and Trust
We’re going to learn so very much!

THE problems associated with human existence on Urantia are impossible of understanding without a knowledge of certain great epochs of the past, notably the occurrence and consequences of the planetary rebellion. Although this upheaval did not seriously interfere with the progress of organic evolution, it did markedly modify the course of socialevolution and of spiritual development. The entire superphysical history of the planet was profoundly influenced by this devastating calamity.
Storms
Beauty before storms come in.
Late today they will begin.
Will be nice weather until then.
Before the storms we must defend.
Right now, it’s truly very nice.
To start big projects, I’m enticed.
But I know they must be done
Before the storms, I know, will come.
So be prepared is where I stand.
I’ll gather things that I demand.
Perhaps not start what can’t be done
Before the setting of the sun.
The day progresses, the sun climbs.
We all have a course through time.
I pray your day truly goes fine.
I pray you find a course Divine.
I continue with my day.
Learning, learning, different ways.
Truly trying to understand
What the ways of life demand.
Becoming better in someways.
Mistakes you make are mere delays.
In the progress that one makes
Everyday ripples in time we make.
Thank You, Father, we shall see
A few more years till Destiny
Surprise exists for all of us.
Your mission towards Love is robust.

Thank you, brother! SO well-written, Simon!!!
And let's remember that Jesus was born to BOTH Mary and Joseph, who were, in fact, his earth parents as revealed to us in:
122:3.4 (1347.2) Gabriel’s announcement to Mary was made the day FOLLOWING THE CONCEPTION of Jesus and was the only event of supernatural occurrence connected with her entire experience of carrying and bearing the child of promise.
Also, when we do study his relationships, how he behaved, THEN do we learn how WE can behave in our own way here and now, as He did, and therefore, did he actually save us from our sins by his perfectly lived human life, right? No longer do we have any need to view his death as a way to save us from our sins...a bit selfish to believe that, isn't it? Like, I can sin as much as I want because Jesus already died and cleared that up for me for me...??? It is in studying his whole earth life, that makes me want to TURN AWAY from sin that saves me!
