102:6.4 Faith transforms the philosophic God of probability into the saving God of certainty in the personal religious experience. Skepticism may challenge the theories of theology, but confidence in the dependability of personal experience affirms the truth of that belief which has grown into faith.

      Love The Day

An early start to this fine day.

A get together is on the way.

It’s time to plant some flowers ‘round.

It’s time to plant seeds in the ground.

      A perfect day presents itself.

A day that’s filled with Spirit wealth.

It’s always there if we just look.

It even helps me when I cook.

An early start will help me do

All the things that help me to

Be caught up, and makes the day

The best it can in every way.

      Anticipate the very best!

Look for God upon your quest.

God is love and wants for you

To do your best in what you do.

The day unfolds, so let God’s power

Help your inner self to flower.

Look to find what’s Spirit real.

      God’s within, that’s a true deal.

      Thank You, Mother/Father/Son.

You always help make living fun.

Life with love’s, what You’re about.

Love is how we make life count!

37:6.4 Fundamentally, the Nebadon educational system provides for your assignment to a task and then affords you opportunity to receive instruction as to the ideal and divine method of best performing that task. You are given a definite task to perform, and at the same time you are provided with teachers who are qualified to instruct you in the best method of executing your assignment. The divine plan of education provides for the intimate association of work and instruction. We teach you how bestto execute the things we command you to do.

        Find Your Best

        Much potential: the day begins.

It’s life on earth, the world we’re in.

        Decisions made with our approach.

We all decide what we devote.

        We devote our energies.

        Our decisions we decree.

We make the best of what we have.

Life is more than what you grab.

Make this world a better place.

Look within, see what you face.

        You can only change yourself.

So play the cards that you’ve been dealt.

        Acceptance, always face the facts.

Don’t let delusions spoil your act.

Experience plays a big part here.

Don’t be fooled by what you fear.

God wants you to do your best.

Life is often one big test.

        Thinking helps with your attack.

        Think before you do react.

The best is often just ahead.

Don’t lose Faith or lose your head.

Ask for help, and you’ll be lead

To do your best, just like I’ve said.

        Thank You, Mother/Father/Son.

The life I’ve lived has been much fun.

Every day I live and choose.

Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose.

140:3.6 “Your Father in heaven makes the sun to shine on the evil as well as upon the good; likewise he sends rain on the just and the unjust. You are the sons of God; even more, you are now the ambassadors of my Father’s kingdom. Be merciful, even as God is merciful, and in the eternal future of the kingdom you shall be perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect.

          Rainy Days

Rain is supposed to come today,

But it doesn’t start that way.

          Slowly clouds are drifting in.

          Later on, rain will begin.

Rain helps nourish all the plants.

Grass turns green with the rain dance.

          Already some mowers have begun

To cut the grass, I hear them run.

Spring chores all are in full swing—

          Planting flowers, crops, and things.

Working in the soil brings cheer.

We’ll see things grow as summer nears.

The Spirit seeds of new ideas,

          Grow within as they appeal

          To our growing, maturing minds.

Sometimes our tears, help make us kind.

God has a plan where He designs

The way we’re made, and it takes time.

We evolved as time goes by,

          Especially when we truly try.

God attracts us with His Love.

          It motivates, as we evolve.

Like I said, He knows us well.

He tries to help us all excel.

          Thank You, Mother/Father/Son.

You know I truly love the sun.

I also know that rain must come

To balance all that must be done.

194:4.7 Unmistakably, a new fellowship was arising in the world. “The multitude who believed continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” They called each other brother and sister; they greeted one another with a holy kiss; they ministered to the poor. It was a fellowship of living as well as of worship. They were not communal by decree but by the desire to share their goods with their fellow believers. They confidently expected that Jesus would return to complete the establishment of the Father’s kingdom during their generation. This spontaneous sharing of earthly possessions was not a direct feature of Jesus’ teaching; it came about because these men and women so sincerely and so confidently believed that he was to return any day to finish his work and to consummate the kingdom. But the final results of this well-meant experiment in thoughtless brotherly love were disastrous and sorrow-breeding. Thousands of earnest believers sold their property and disposed of all their capital goods and other productive assets. With the passing of time, the dwindling resources of Christian “equal-sharing” came to an end – but the world did not. Very soon the believers at Antioch were taking up a collection to keep their fellow believers at Jerusalem from starving.

            New Day Rising

A brand-new day, with much surprise.

We must look to find our Guide.

            Cooler out, throughout the day,

But, still the Spring is on the way.

In a week the 80s rise,

But for today, there’s freeze surprise.

Spring is kind of put on hold.

The North wind blows, and it is cold.

Faith that God is who’s in charge.

It is His world, His plans are large.

Social change is on the way.

Love will change the light of day.

We all must make some new decisions.

We all must face things, that’s our mission.

In order for this world to change,

            Love must come and rearrange.

This world must rearrange its focus.

Love must be its center locus.

Money must go down in flames.

Love is what we must exchange.

It will take us time to learn.

            Always, knowledge must be earned.

We’re being forced to see the Truth.

God is working with our youth.

            Thank You, Mother/Father/Son.

Your plan of Love is what’s begun.

111:4.8&9&10 You cannot completely control the external world – environment. It is the creativity of the inner world that is most subject to your direction because there your personality is so largely liberated from the fetters of the laws of antecedent causation. There is associated with personality a limited sovereignty of will.

Since this inner life of man is truly creative, there rests upon each person the responsibility of choosing as to whether this creativity shall be spontaneous and wholly haphazard or controlled, directed, and constructive. How can a creative imagination produce worthy children when the stage whereon it functions is already preoccupied by prejudice, hate, fears, resentments, revenge, and bigotries?

Ideas may take origin in the stimuli of the outer world, but ideals are born only in the creative realms of the inner world. Today the nations of the world are directed by men who have a superabundance of ideas, but they are poverty-stricken in ideals. That is the explanation of poverty, divorce, war, and racial hatreds.

              Today

I got eight hours and now I’m up.

I’m thankful, for, God fills my cup.

There’s much that I am thankful for.

Through life I’ve opened many doors.

As an older guy, now I

Have less to do, but still I try

To be useful in this life.

I look for ways to do what’s right.

              Judgment has matured with me.

I’m different than I used to be.

I’m not as quick, I have more patience.

I try to find what makes a difference.

Our vision widens, as we age.

When I was young, I used to rage

              Over trifles with no meaning.

              I know I was more self-defeating.

              No perfection in this life,

              But my motives do survive.

              My direction now is set.

              Reminders there, when I forget.

              Anticipation builds within.

There’s Good to do, the day begins.

              Always choices to be made.

They’re always ways one can upgrade.

              Thank You, Mother/Father/Son.

by the time this day is done,

I’ll have done, and, found some Good.

And for Your Wil, I will have stood.

181:2.15 Jesus then stepped over to James Zebedee, who stood in silence as the Master addressed him, saying: “James, when you and your younger brother once came to me seeking preferment in the honors of the kingdom, and I told you such honors were for the Father to bestow, I asked if you were able to drink my cup, and both of you answered that you were. Even if you were not then able, and if you are not now able, you will soon be prepared for such a service by the experience you are about to pass through. By such behavior you angered your brethren at that time. If they have not already fully forgiven you, they will when they see you drink my cup. Whether your ministry be long or short, possess your soul in patience. When the new teacher comes, let him teach you the poise of compassion and that sympathetic tolerance which is born of sublime confidence in me and of perfect submission to the Father’s will. Dedicate your life to the demonstration of that combined human affection and divine dignity of the God-knowing and Son-believing disciple. And all who thus live will reveal the gospel even in the manner of their death. You and your brother John will go different ways, and one of you may sit down with me in the eternal kingdom long before the other. It would help you much if you would learn that true wisdom embraces discretion as well as courage. You should learn sagacity to go along with your aggressiveness. There will come those supreme moments wherein my disciples will not hesitate to lay down their lives for this gospel, but in all ordinary circumstances it would be far better to placate the wrath of unbelievers that you might live and continue to preach the glad tidings. As far as lies in your power, live long on the earth that your life of many years may be fruitful in souls won for the heavenly kingdom.”

                Wisdom’s Ways
                Truly much to do today.
Early starts help us make hay.
More time today to do our tasks.
More time to do some Godly acts.

Try to make some better choices.
The Spirit within you then rejoices.
Look and act as an adult.
                Anticipate your past made faults.

Make sure you don’t repeat mistakes.
To learn from them is what it takes.
                Advancing helps your wisdom be
                Increasing with your destiny.

To learn means that we’ve had defeats.
We do not learn on winning streaks.
We only learn when we must change,
And sometimes just extend our range.

We do best when we improve
Our past events, the way we move.
                Introspection must be made
To help us all, improve our grades.

                Self-awareness, where we’re at.
Respect all others as we act.
                Accomplishments with what’s called tact
Helps all mankind, and that’s a fact!

                Thank You, Mother/Father/Son.
                Wisdom within’s what’s begun.
A wiser way to lead my life.

The Young Man Who Was Afraid

130:6.1 While they were up in the mountains, Jesus had a long talk with a young man who was fearful and downcast. Failing to derive comfort and courage from association with his fellows, this youth had sought the solitude of the hills; he had grown up with a feeling of helplessness and inferiority. These natural tendencies had been augmented by numerous difficult circumstances which the lad had encountered as he grew up, notably, the loss of his father when he was twelve years of age. As they met, Jesus said: “Greetings, my friend! why so downcast on such a beautiful day? If something has happened to distress you, perhaps I can in some manner assist you. At any rate it affords me real pleasure to proffer my services.”

130:6.2 The young man was disinclined to talk, and so Jesus made a second approach to his soul, saying: “I understand you come up in these hills to get away from folks; so, of course, you do not want to talk with me, but I would like to know whether you are familiar with these hills; do you know the direction of the trails? and, perchance, could you inform me as to the best route to Phenix?” Now this youth was very familiar with these mountains, and he really became much interested in telling Jesus the way to Phenix, so much so that he marked out all the trails on the ground and fully explained every detail. But he was startled and made curious when Jesus, after saying good-bye and making as if he were taking leave, suddenly turned to him, saying: “I well know you wish to be left alone with your disconsolation; but it would be neither kind nor fair for me to receive such generous help from you as to how best to find my way to Phenix and then unthinkingly to go away from you without making the least effort to answer your appealing request for help and guidance regarding the best route to the goal of destiny which you seek in your heart while you tarry here on the mountainside. As you so well know the trails to Phenix, having traversed them many times, so do I well know the way to the city of your disappointed hopes and thwarted ambitions. And since you have asked me for help, I will not disappoint you.” The youth was almost overcome, but he managed to stammer out, “But—I did not ask you for anything—” And Jesus, laying a gentle hand on his shoulder, said: “No, son, not with words but with longing looks did you appeal to my heart. My boy, to one who loves his fellows there is an eloquent appeal for help in your countenance of discouragement and despair. Sit down with me while I tell you of the service trails and happiness highways which lead from the sorrows of self to the joys of loving activities in the brotherhood of men and in the service of the God of heaven.”

130:6.3 By this time the young man very much desired to talk with Jesus, and he knelt at his feet imploring Jesus to help him, to show him the way of escape from his world of personal sorrow and defeat. Said Jesus: “My friend, arise! Stand up like a man! You may be surrounded with small enemies and be retarded by many obstacles, but the big things and the real things of this world and the universe are on your side. The sun rises every morning to salute you just as it does the most powerful and prosperous man on earth. Look—you have a strong body and powerful muscles—your physical equipment is better than the average. Of course, it is just about useless while you sit out here on the mountainside and grieve over your misfortunes, real and fancied. But you could do great things with your body if you would hasten off to where great things are waiting to be done. You are trying to run away from your unhappy self, but it cannot be done. You and your problems of living are real; you cannot escape them as long as you live. But look again, your mind is clear and capable. Your strong body has an intelligent mind to direct it. Set your mind at work to solve its problems; teach your intellect to work for you; refuse longer to be dominated by fear like an unthinking animal. Your mind should be your courageous ally in the solution of your life problems rather than your being, as you have been, its abject fear-slave and the bond servant of depression and defeat. But most valuable of all, your potential of real achievement is the spirit which lives within you, and which will stimulate and inspire your mind to control itself and activate the body if you will release it from the fetters of fear and thus enable your spiritual nature to begin your deliverance from the evils of inaction by the power-presence of living faith. And then, forthwith, will this faith vanquish fear of men by the compelling presence of that new and all-dominating love of your fellows which will so soon fill your soul to overflowing because of the consciousness which has been born in your heart that you are a child of God.

130:6.4 “This day, my son, you are to be reborn, re-established as a man of faith, courage, and devoted service to man, for God’s sake. And when you become so readjusted to life within yourself, you become likewise readjusted to the universe; you have been born again—born of the spirit—and henceforth will your whole life become one of victorious accomplishment. Trouble will invigorate you; disappointment will spur you on; difficulties will challenge you; and obstacles will stimulate you. Arise, young man! Say farewell to the life of cringing fear and fleeing cowardice. Hasten back to duty and live your life in the flesh as a son of God, a mortal dedicated to the ennobling service of man on earth and destined to the superb and eternal service of God in eternity.”

130:6.5 And this youth, Fortune, subsequently became the leader of the Christians in Crete and the close associate of Titus in his labors for the uplift of the Cretan believers.

187:4.1 One of the brigands railed at Jesus, saying, “If you are the Son of God, why do you not save yourself and us?” But when he had reproached Jesus, the other thief, who had many times heard the Master teach, said: “Do you have no fear even of God? Do you not see that we are suffering justly for our deeds, but that this man suffers unjustly? Better that we should seek forgiveness for our sins and salvation for our souls.” When Jesus heard the thief say this, he turned his face toward him and smiled approvingly. When the malefactor saw the face of Jesus turned toward him, he mustered up his courage, fanned the flickering flame of his faith, and said, “Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” And then Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say to you today, you shall sometime be with me in Paradise.”

110:6.3 The psychic circles are not exclusively intellectual, neither are they wholly morontial; they have to do with personality status, mind attainment, soul growth, and Adjuster attunement. The successful traversal of these levels demands the harmonious functioning of the entire personality, not merely of some one phase thereof. The growth of the parts does not equal the true maturation of the whole; the parts really grow in proportion to the expansion of the entire self – the whole self – material, intellectual, and spiritual.

The God within, I’ll look for Him.

I will ignite lights that were dim.

As I turn the brightness up,

The Spirit helps fill up my cup.

Love is what the Spirit has,

Spirit that is filled with Jazz.

                      Creative ways not seen before

                      Always knocking at my door.

                      Finding music in the day.

                      Singing Harmony as I play.

                      Whistling tunes from deep within.

The rhythm helps us all to win.

                      Thank You, Mother/Father/Son.

The world we’re on is pretty young.

But we’ll mature as life goes on.

Our love for hate will soon be gone.

101:2.14 Your deepest nature – the divine Adjuster – creates within you a hunger and thirst for righteousness, a certain craving for divine perfection. Religion is the faith act of the recognition of this inner urge to divine attainment; and thus is brought about that soul trust and assurance of which you become conscious as the way of salvation, the technique of the survival of personality and all those values which you have come to look upon as being true and good.

                        Good

                        Very early, it’s still dark.

There is a way to hit the mark.

Inside I listen to Your hark.

I make my way, an early start.

An early start to this fine day.

Though it’s still dark, I see my way.

There’s Good to do within my path.

Good is something that can last.

All the Good in any act,

                        Has potential to enact

A process where the Love contained

Becomes a fact and is retained.

Someday there’ll be so much Good,

This world will be the way it should.

Slowly, yes, the wave will come.

I hear the ripples, it’s begun.

The rising tide of Good’s deluge,

                        Will submerge evil ice cubes.

They will melt away in shame.

They broke the rules of Goodness games.

The game of Good will someday rule

The way we swim within the pool.

Our laws will keep evil in check.

Divine law will be in effect.

There is Good within me Lord.

And it is there within the hoard.

Someday Faith in Good will show

And help in every way we know!
