A Time for Caution: The Second Coming, The Shroud of Turin, and Project Bluebeam

We are in perilous times: there are those who wish to control humanity, they are entrenched throughout our world’s systems, and they have technology available for their purposes that is beyond what most of us know.

The Urantia revelation claims that in these days the greatest threat we will face is holding to our faith. Remember, for any individual the only thing that really matters is dying with their faith in God the Father and knowing they have progressively grown in showing the fruits of the Spirit throughout their lives.

Jesus said he would return; he did not say when. There is no basis to the idea that he will return at the end of an age or at the end of the world, and since only spiritual eyes can see him and all eyes will see him, I suggest our world has a way to go before again being visited by our Creator. To promote Jesus coming now is setting up and reinforcing the idea of Project Bluebeam—a false second coming.

The Shroud of Turin may also be part of an effort to deceive the people. Regardless, it contradicts what we know of Jesus’ life and teachings and his desire and reasons for not leaving anything behind. As for it supposedly being authenticated by science, all I can say is that we are dealing with advanced technology and how the shroud originated is beyond our ability to know.

Excerpt: Ch. 1, Birth and Infancy of Jesus, 6/9
Son of Man: Urantia, 2nd ed.

Mary and Joseph were married in March, 8 B.C. That same month Caesar Augustus passed a law requiring a census: he wanted to know how many people were paying taxes. But the Jews had always resisted being counted, and they managed have the census in Palestine delayed until a year later in 7 B.C. Mary was pregnant that year when the Romans held the census in Palestine, so Joseph decided that he would go Bethlehem and register the family by himself. Mary disagreed: she did not want to take the chance of giving birth when Joseph was gone. Also, her cousin Elizabeth lived nearby Bethlehem and Mary argued that the two of them could visit. At first Joseph held firm and said Mary had to stay home. But she just ignored him and packed enough food for both of them, winning the argument. They left for Bethlehem at dawn the next day, August 18, 7 B.C. Mary rode the donkey with their food and Joseph walked ahead leading the way.

Jesus carried traits from both of his parents. From Joseph he acquired his deep love for and understanding of people, and some of his tendency to at times become discouraged. Joseph also taught Jesus his religion and the history of the Jewish people.

Mary’s personality was stronger than Joseph’s. She was outgoing and not shy expressing herself. Mary was better at managing a household than most women, and she was a master at getting things done. From his mother Jesus learned how to plan, teach, and adapt. But Mary could also get angry on the spot if someone blasphemed God, a trait Jesus acquired from her later in life.

The angel never told Joseph that his son was coming to save the Jews, or that Joseph was a descendent of the House of David. For hundreds of years the Jews had been waiting for someone to come and assume David’s throne. This new king, like Moses, would use miracles to defeat the Jew’s enemies and control all of Palestine. After Jesus was crucified many of the stories in the Old Testament where altered to better align with his incarnation on Earth. Those changes have caused tremendous confusion. Jesus himself stated that he had no link to the family of David or any intention to sit on his throne. Other changes to the scriptures included altering Mary and Joseph’s family lines, and stating that a virgin instead of a maiden was going to bear a son.

In answer to one of Peter's many questions, Jesus said, I want to set people free so they can start out fresh as little children on the new and better life. Jesus always insisted that true goodness must be unconscious, not letting the left hand know what the right hand is doing. The three apostles were amazed when they realized that Jesus's religion made no provision for spiritual self-examination.

True Happiness and Spiritual Values

Son of Man: Urantia, 2nd ed.

Jesus frequently warned his listeners against envy and wanting what other people have, telling them that people's happiness does not consist in the abundance of their material possessions. Many times he said, what would it profit a person to gain the whole world and lose their own soul? Jesus did not attack the possession of property, but he did insist that it is essential for eternal survival that spiritual values come first.

The twelve could not understand all they were taught, but they were much helped by this instruction. Then Jesus said, But you will stumble over my teaching because you want to interpret my message literally. You are slow to discern the spirit of my teaching. Again, you must remember that you are my messengers, that you are beholden to live your lives in spirit as I have lived mine. You are my personal representatives, but do not err in expecting all people to live as you do in every particular way.

Mary was in her house and Joseph was still at work when Gabriel appeared to her in mid-November. After Mary calmed down Gabriel told her what he had told Elizabeth and also that she was pregnant with a son; that her pregnancy was blessed by God; that she and Joseph were supposed to name their son Joshua, and that their son Joshua would announce the kingdom of heaven on Earth…. Gabriel waited until after Mary was already pregnant before appearing to her. There was no virgin birth: Jesus was conceived as normal the night before Gabriel’s visit, which was the only supernatural event that happened.

Mary had a distant relative named Elizabeth whose husband was Zacharias, a Jewish rabbi. They had been married for many years but had never been blessed with a child. One day toward the end of June, 8 B.C. while Zacharias was praying in the temple, Elizabeth was by herself in their house when all of the sudden Gabriel made himself visible to her. After Elizabeth calmed down, Gabriel told her that the long-awaited savior is coming soon; that Elizabeth’s cousin, Mary, would be the mother of this divine teacher; that a man named John would come first to prepare the way for this savior; that Elizabeth and her husband Zacharias would be the parents of John, who would be known as John the Baptist, and finally, that he was going to tell Mary this same story.

After Michael chose Urantia for his final bestowal in submission to God the Father, Gabriel chose the Jews to host our creator’s life on Earth. At the time, their religion and philosophy held more truth than those of other cultures. Next his staff searched for potential parents among the Hebrews, the descendants of Abraham, and eventually nominated three couples. Gabriel chose Mary and Joseph: biologically they both had excellent genes and socially they held enough status to offer Jesus his best chance to fulfill his destiny.

Joseph was a Jew of the Jews. His father’s family line went back to Abraham and far beyond, but not quite all the way back to Adam. His most recent ancestors came from the trades: masons, carpenters, blacksmiths, etcetera. Joseph began as a carpenter and then later contracted his own jobs. Mary’s lineage also went back into the mists of time, and it was one of the most illustrious of the Jews. Her line was a composite of many different tribes and included some of the most important women in Earth’s history, including Eve.

Since they had first been dispersed across the world, the Jews held together as a community in three ways: first, they all hoped for a Jewish savior to free them from the Romans; second, they all believed that Jerusalem was the center of their religion: for every Jew in Jesus’ era, Jerusalem was the most important place in all the world, and third, they held their community together under the bigoted belief that they were God’s chosen people: they were the Jews, they were favored by God while others were not, and the stronger the particular Jew’s faith was the more arrogant, self-righteous, and disrespectful the person was to people not Jewish. The Jews called everyone else a gentile, and anything gentile was held in utter contempt. The one exception to the gentile’s status were those gentile friends of the Jews who more or less accepted the Jewish faith, and because of that had been given their own separate place to meet on the outside edge of the synagogues. As Jesus’ message spread through the Jewish community it was this group of gentiles attached to the Jews that took it to heart, and later after Jesus was killed it was from these gentiles that Paul recruited the majority of his converts.

The Jews’ bigotry, their insistence that they were God’s chosen people, and their contempt for and lack of kindness and tolerance toward anyone or anything not Jewish caused them most of their problems. This arrogance blinded them to Jesus’ message that all people are equal under God, that every person has a unique personal connection with God resident in their minds, and that no priest, religion, ceremony, or tradition is needed or desired to worship God. But most of the Jews, especially their rabbis and religious enforcers, insisted that God was theirs and theirs alone and they were not inclined to share him with anyone.

Even so, people were ready for a spiritual revival. Syria and Palestine were the crossroads to three continents and the Roman Empire had brought cultures together from across the Middle East and the Mediterranean basin. While society was divided into a few rich people, their slaves, and many poor the land was mostly peaceful. Nazareth was in the center of this hub where travelers from around the world rested and exchanged ideas, goods, and knowledge.

The Jews were dispersed throughout the Roman empire. They were a well-organized people and built cultural centers in many of the cities where they lived. Overseeing everything in a Jew’s life were the scribes, Pharisees, and Sanhedrin: the Jewish priesthood and supreme court of law. The rabbis dominated the people and strictly bound them to religious traditions and ancient laws long ago handed down by Moses.

In obedience to his Father’s will, during this bestowal into mortal form Michael was tasked with defeating the rebels—the fallen archangel Lucifer; the midway traitor Beelzebub; Urantia’s Planetary Prince, Caligastia, and all of the other nefarious minions who had given in to their lies and disloyalty—and end the Luciferic Rebellion. Furthermore, Michael had to win this battle without using his powers as a creator son, which would have allowed him to annihilate the rebels at will. Instead, Michael was directed to defeat these once great spiritual beings by nothing more than his demonstration of living a superb life in obedience to his Father’s will: a life in perfect harmony with the Paradise Trinity. By doing so Michael’s grace, dignity, and elegance would destroy the rebels’ lies and demonstrate to the entire cosmos the power of faith in and obedience to the will of God the Father. When Michael defeated the rebels and ended the rebellion it opened the path to terminating the spiritual quarantine that has kept our world from knowing our Father. The path to peace on Earth has been revealed, and we will soon take our rightful place in the universe.

Michael’s incarnation as a helpless babe of the realm contained many risks. Our planetary system of material worlds had experienced rebellion against the Paradise Trinity and the rebels were still in play: they were intent on stopping Michael’s assumption of full authority over his universe. Michael’s aids searched all of Nebadon looking for suitable planets on which he could be born. Finally, Michael chose the planet Urantia in the system Satania. We are one of 666 worlds in Satania whose planetary prince succumbed to the false arguments of Lucifer, the greatest of the fallen children of light and the leader of the Luciferic Rebellion against the Paradise Trinity in Paradise.

Earth and the other planets involved suffered much from this war in the heavens. Our Adam and Eve, those celestial beings brought to new planets to uplift the mortals on them, failed in their mission. Their disloyalty sent our world into chaos, violence, and spiritual confusion from which we have yet to recover. As a result, our planet and all of the others involved in Lucifer’s rebellion were placed into spiritual quarantine: since that time we have been shut off from contact with all other worlds in Nebadon so we would not diminish the level of God’s presence in the rest of the superuniverse.
