While we do not celebrate this day in our lives, we recognize that the Christian world does and, as stated above in the Weimar answer, it becomes a time when the world seems to want to get along with each other because of this traditional time pf peace. What a true gift it would be to our Beloved Creator, who while on earth/Urantia, came and SHOWED us what loving others looked like even to the actions he made while hanging on the cross, if we lived this ideal of peacefulness and true loving towards one and all every day of the year! Now THAT would be "Christmas", hey?

The UB does not tell us about any time of personal celebrations like birthdays, we ask ourselves "Why not?". They did clear up for us his original birth date, which also clears up the fact that he was born WELL after his parents had been married - NOT a virgin birth! 

They mention as facts the ceremonies of the various family weddings, and, of course, we know the well-known story of the Wedding at Cana...which had its own revelation to us, learning that Jesus had to be careful of his emotions and they could easily become manifest if they coincided with the will of his Father. 

December 25, the date of the appearance of the pagan god Mithras which the apostle Paul included in his work so as to attract the Mithraics into his teaching,  has become more and more a celebration of greed, of consumerism(looks like paganism to me) and less and less of the memory of the perfectly-lived life of Jesus on earth in the flesh. So much money being spent on the already comfortable people of the world instead of sharing with the truly impoverished, everywhere, on this rebellious world. How would the big spenders act if Jesus made himself known today and watched all the fancy celebrations in the homes of those who already have much...?

And as we study his life in Part IV, we see the determined effort by Jesus not to attract undue attention to himself, but to his teachings, directing any focus towards his/our FATHER, as he allowed different titles to be assigned to him: like, the scribe of Damascus, the carpenter of Nazareth, the boatbuilder of Capernaum, the tentmaker of Antioch, and even Peter and Paul dismissed the idea of descriptions of Jesus by others as they were convinced Jesus had not travelled far and wide. What does this tell us, then, about us having a need to celebrate his birthday?

My concern is for the poor people of the world who feel they have to celebrate this day with money they do not have in order to look like "good" Christians to their communities, and believing this is their Christian duty. 

In conclusion, may I pray that we each devote time each day to celebrating the fact of his choice to come to our grief-stricken world, his perfectly lived religious life here and to his suprem gift of the Spirit of Truth, bestowed upon all flesh after his ascension to his rightful place as Master Sovereign Creator of his own universe...this same Spirit, the Comforter, being the expression of the Father’s love and the Son's mercy.
