Common Father: Common Bond
An Appeal to Agnostics and Moderates of all Faiths
This presentation is a call to subtle action: an appeal to those reasonable people—agnostics and the moderates of various faiths—who hold in their hearts the desire for good will toward all of humanity; this is an invitation to those people who know that the social, national, religious, and political divisions keeping our world in conflict are mostly false and constructed by others to control us for their own purposes. This message presents another option for our existence, and different than any other path it puts the power in the individual’s hands and leaves the validation of truth up to the person using the tools they already possess.
I am addressing those people who want to evolve their beliefs, not remain mentally secure by committing to them as perfect and forever lasting. Some people realize that in a universe evolving toward perfection nothing can remain static: everything has to evolve or it will eventually cease to exist, that includes us, our ideas, and the world’s spiritual dogmas and doctrines. The teachings offered herein strip religions and their leaders of their assumed power or claims of divine preference or perfect knowledge, and require each person to review their current religious beliefs in light of a higher revelation of the nature of God and the reality of a loving universe.
While this information has been with us for the last three quarters of a century, bringing it forth in this manner would have had little chance of acceptance five years ago; maybe even one or two years ago. But it seems like our world has shifted, and no, I cannot explain what I mean by that. In some way it seems like time has accelerated, while the revelation of truth across many fields seems to be building on itself in an almost exponential manner. Some people are calling this an awakening. To me it feels more like we are condensing to a point of confrontation where our world will either move into a new era of peace and goodwill among humanity, or it will not and life will become nothing more than survival for many generations to come, while those of us now on Earth will bear the shame of having left our children a legacy of horror unmatched by our ancestors.
The question, people, is have we had enough yet? Has the horror gotten to the point where the numbness has worn off and now there is just an underlying pain that never goes away? Every morning we wake up to someone else’s children being blown apart, or any of the other unspeakable horrors that we now know people with fame, power, and money are committing against them all across the world. Has our rage built to the point yet where we are willing to admit that something has gone so wrong that our very existence feels like an affront to God? Are you like me, almost crippled with frustration knowing that you have some level of responsibility as a human being on this planet, but no clue whatsoever how to meet it and at least do your part? If you are, and if you have the guts to stand up and look this world dead in the eyes, then listen on. But be warned: with this knowledge comes personal responsibility that you cannot escape and that no others can assume: this will be a red pill blue pill moment for some of you. If you continue on, do so monitoring your inner voice as to the truth of what you are about to hear; from there it is ultimately between you and God, just like it always has been regardless of what so-called religious leaders may have told you.
My sisters and brothers, we have been lied to in many ways. Most of you know this, or at least sense it. Some of the lies have been on purpose, some not; some have been done with malicious intent, others out of stupidity or expediency of one sort or another. Regardless of the intent, knowledge that humanity was given long ago—knowledge that we needed then and that we need now to bring our world to peace and goodwill—has been kept from us.
A little over two thousand years ago, Jesus of Nazareth the living son of God, incarnated on Earth. Our world had fallen into spiritual confusion for various reasons, and he was here to, among other things, clarify the situation for us and the other worlds in his universe. Much of the knowledge that Jesus gave us was then hidden, changed, and added-to in the evolution of Christianity, which is a religion founded by Paul, not Jesus, and that expresses Paul’s ideas about the fact of the arisen Christ. It is not a religion about the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, and because of that Christianity has become divided into hundreds of isolated cults, most of them at one another’s throats and every single one failing in their duty to bring forth the kingdom of heaven on Earth and guide their members in serving humanity—all of humanity not just those of their faith—for the sake of God. These mistaken ideas about Jesus and his revelation of the divine love, mercy, and forgiveness of our mutual father have stopped his gospel’s acceptance by most of the world in the past, and it is being increasingly rejected by those who will define our world in the future. Worse, having our true nature hidden from us has brought humanity to the point where we as a race cannot or will not protect the only innocent ones among us, our children.
Your assurance of the validity of what you are about to hear will become a felt sense as we go forward, and in the end you will never again allow any person or religion to come between you and God, and you will have the tools needed to immediately verify for yourself the truthfulness of anything attributed to Jesus or God or any other spiritual matter. You will understand why it is though most people’s common bond of loving and wanting to protect our children that the majority of people will be able to dissolve the barriers between us and protect our world from the extremists now waging violence in God’s name, and you will learn how each of us can participate in our own way to bring our world to peace, goodwill among us, and the era of life and light.
It all starts with the greatest lie that has been imposed on many people, and which is the root of all of the other problems we face, and that is that God is some impersonal deity far distant from us that we have to journey to, instead of the truth that God is a personality literally inside each of our minds in the form of a spiritual entity known as a Thought Adjuster. This spirit of God is God, and it is that portion of God that each of our unique mortal personalities will eventually meld with to form our new eternal soul in perfection with God: that is if we choose to do so because nothing in this universe is forced on us, including our gift of eternal life.
To explain further: when a child makes its first moral choice that shows it has a mind complex enough to choose God’s will, an event that usually happens around five or six years of age, a Thought Adjuster of God enters that child’s mind. From then on the Thought Adjuster sends impulses to that finite mortal mind helping it to grasp the eternity, infinity, and universality of God. This is a slow process given our chemically based and emotionally charged biological minds, which is why meditation can aid in our spiritual development: it puts our mind at rest so God can instead meditate on us. After this first brief mortal life on Earth, the personality that arose from that mortal mind and its associated Thought Adjuster from God reincarnate in another body on another world in what is known as the morontia realm. The morontia realm is the intervening existence between the material realm of time and space and the spiritual realm we are progressing toward: we do not go from being mortal to spiritual just by dying. In the morontia realm the person’s personality and its Thought Adjuster continue advancing and incarnating together into finer more spiritual like bodies through hundreds of increasingly advanced training worlds until that personality reaches perfection and fully desires to do God’s will. At that point the perfected once mortal personality and the Thought Adjuster that has guided it throughout its existence, fuse together and form the eternal soul to continue serving God in future spiritual adventures.
Working with the Thought Adjuster from God to guide us while we are on still on Earth is Jesus’ Spirit of Truth that he sent to humanity on the Pentecost after his murder. These two spirits collaborate to guide the person toward the truth, beauty, and goodness that is God: they are the quiet voice that comes forth at times in our lives, and it is through them that we can be assured of the validity of anything relating to God. But differentiating our impulses from God from our own egos has to be learned. The quiet voice of God that guides us is usually that first faint impression a person gets that tells them if something is true or false. It is not the result of the mental deliberations that often come after that first initial impulse is received.
By improving our understanding of the nature of God, we learn to better tell the difference between God’s will and our desires. When we know that God’s nature is ultimate love, mercy, and forgiveness; when we know that each of us are special and unique in creation, and that the entire celestial host has been brought forth to aid each of us in our progressive ascent to God our mutual father, then we know that anything contrary to that divine nature is false. For example, if throughout a person’s life their inner sense has been that a loving God would not tell us to kill or wage war or sacrifice our children and animals to please him, or that he would not send his divine son to be tortured and murdered by the likes of us humans, then that person has been right all along: none of that human barbarism reflects God’s true divine nature. All of those are false teachings used to control us, and ultimately to harm God. We can be assured that anything describing God as being less than our personal all-loving, all-merciful, and all-forgiving father—anything that counters our highest idea of ultimate truth, beauty, and goodness—anything that smells of hypocrisy or that violates our divinely inspired sense of righteousness is false. Period. The universe has a perfect symmetry to it that cannot be sullied, and we will immediately sense when something is repulsive to the God inside of us. So no, our true inner voice will never tell us to do any of the horrors that in the past have been attributed to God: all of the examples religious leaders use to convince people not to follow their inner voices—and instead and of course follow them—have come about by people thinking they were following their hearts when in fact they were being subjugated by their minds. And that mental dominance was only able to happen because the truth of God being inside of them and his loving, merciful, and forgiving nature had been hidden from those people.
God is no respecter of people. Jesus brought his message to Earth for everyone: man and woman, Jew and gentile, etc., and he denounced any ideas of man’s spiritual superiority over women, which Paul and the other early leaders of his church, to their shame, decided to ignore. Neither is God a respecter of religions: the only true religion is our personal experience of talking with God in our mind. No person, regardless of their assumed earthly titles, can come between God and a person, and no religion, tradition, or ceremony has any spiritual value what-so-ever on high: all religions on Earth are considered by Jesus, hence God, to be nothing more than social groups of people believing the same way, which is fine, but none of them have God’s favor and membership in one in and of itself does not affect a person’s spiritual status: that is up to each of us and our spirit of God resident in our mind.
The second great lie imposed on many people, and that is only made possible from the lie that God is distant instead of ever present inside of us, is that the idea of a person’s neighbor only applies to the people of their faith. If God is something far away, then people and religions can presume to come between the person and that God. This is how we have been divided, controlled, and pitted against one another over the ages. The result has been great spiritual concepts like the Golden Rule being confined to specific religious groups, which is an affront to God and to many people’s inner sense of correctness. The fact that each of us has present in our minds an actual spirit entity of the same God-father makes us all siblings: sisters and brothers with the same personal God-father inside of us.
Jesus’ gospel was his life: it is not the bible. There was a reason why Jesus never wrote anything down, and he neither sanctioned or influenced the writings about him that came later. While the bible may be a fine theological document, it is not the word of God, it only brings forth a part of Jesus life, and it is filled with many of the apostles’ confused ideas about his teachings. Absolutely nothing touched by human hands is sacred: nothing. Jesus did not come to the Earth to be a social reformer, and he never was: he did not dictate to us how to live, he showed us how to honor God in our lives. Jesus demonstrated to us through his life the perfect divine love, mercy, and forgiveness of God the father, and he taught us through his interactions with us that our highest duty as individuals is to serve humanity for the sake of God. That was Jesus’ gospel and his greatest commandment, the highest level of the Golden Rule: to treat others as God our mutual father would have us treat them regardless of who they are. It is a beautiful plan, but no one said it would be easy.
But how do we go forward? How, after all of the horror that we have committed and all of the resulting divisions among us, do we enact the Golden Rule as our standard for life? How do we manage to get enough people into the governments, businesses, and religions framing our lives that have the courage to say no; that have the courage to commit to the Golden Rule and will not participate in violating it for someone’s else’s expediency? How do we get people to realize that those forces on Earth working against peace and goodwill among us can only do so with our support: that if we do not cooperate, they do not survive?
Our answer is uniting across the world to protect our children. The only time Jesus ever made a comment about someone having to pay for their sins in a way that resembles our childish idea of hell concerned those people who harm the little ones, when he said their fate would be worse than having a millstone tied around their necks and tossed into the sea. Nowhere else does Jesus even hint of punishment like that, and that is our clue as to the importance of and need to care for the only innocent ones among us.
A parent’s love for their child is something that most people have in common and that crosses all social, religious, or political barriers; it is through our common love for our children that we can find the empathy and compassion needed to eventually apply the Golden Rule to their parents. And when enough of us stand up to protect the children, regardless of whose children they are or where they are at, we will bring much of the world’s horror to a standstill. For some reason, most of the worst malicious evil that we are seeing these days is aimed at harming God through our children: in other words, robbing God of another soul and those children of their greatest opportunity to acquire their eternal souls.
Follow along with me here. Jesus came to Earth to draw us to God through witnessing his love and compassion, and we are supposed to model that example with our children and also draw them to God. A child is drawn to God through its experience of God’s love, mercy, and forgiveness through us, its earthly parents. For example, along the same line Jesus told us to increasingly show the fruits of the spirit in our lives so that other people would see them and be drawn to God in their desire to acquire them. But if a personality never experiences God’s love, mercy, and forgiveness or if it gets led off track into continually choosing against truth, beauty and goodness then that person will eventually lose any desire to ever do God’s will; they will choose not to accept their gift of eternal life and when they die their personality will disperse throughout the greater universe like a drop of water in the ocean, and their Thought Adjuster will take all of value from that brief mortal existence and return to God to await another mortal mind to indwell.
Each of us is a vital participant in God’s plan, and realizing that changes how we live: yes, eternal life is freely given and it is to be received as such, but from that point on we are expected to grow in our spiritual understanding and our service to humanity for God’s sake. We earn our way to God one step at a time, not through so-called works, but by increasingly demonstrating the fruits of the spirit in our lives; spreading those seeds and bringing more souls to God.
The whole purpose of material creation is for mortals to be born, acquire their spirit of God, and then choose eternal life so they can move on to the morontia realm where they will then traverse hundreds of training worlds as they grow in perfection and eventually become eternal souls. Remember, this world is only a bridge; the only thing that is really important in this first life is whether or not we choose to continue our journey to perfection. To put it crudely, the universe is nothing more than a soul factory, and nothing hurts God more than losing one of his potential souls. This is why there is so much more joy in heaven over one sinner repenting, finding that one lost sheep, than having many more secure in the fold. That is why this message is aimed at you who sense the need to believe in God, but who do not see God in religion as it is practiced now: this is your way to God, and no one can interfere.
Moving on. If harming our children and stealing their gift of eternal life is the greatest sin that can hurt God, then given the perfect symmetry of God’s plan the greatest way to resist those destroying our world for their ends would be just the opposite: protecting our children and enhancing their chance of choosing eternal life.
Power is never given: it is taken. We, humanity, can assume our rightful power by each of us as individuals enacting the Golden Rule as the standard for all we do, over and above anything to the contrary. Whether we are at work or at play, at all times we make that choice that represents the greatest truth, beauty, and goodness in any particular situation, and from there we put our faith in God knowing that we have done our best to serve others for his sake. We, each of us, know who are neighbor is; we do not need anyone to tell us: we are each gifted with the means to validate the truth for ourselves. We, each of us, are responsible for the quality of humanity: we are the human race and no longer can we allow the elite few to dictate our conduct and the relationships between us, or to pit us against one another in a cycle of endless wars. Humanity wins not by protests or fighting or continually trying new political systems, but rather by each of us acting according to our highest understanding of truth, beauty, and goodness. We are each full members in this world: we are not subjects. Exercising our individual rights for the benefit of the race is our highest responsibility, and collectively our way to peace on Earth and good will among us.
While it is our children that will draw us together, it is forgiveness that will allow us adults to live and work together in the effort to save them. God forgives us before we even realize the need to ask him, but each of us can only experience that divine forgiveness to the point that we forgive others. Everything in the universe has to balance out: it would be unfair to give us what we were unwilling to give to someone else. So, while in the beginning we may be enacting the Golden Rule for selfish reasons—because we ourselves will someday want to experience forgiveness—with repetition we get to the point where we forgive out of genuine love and compassion for the other person. Love is the most contagious of viruses: it is the essence of all that is eternally real and it facilitates the relationships between us.
Every institution on Earth, whether social, political, religious, or governmental was originally formed to serve us, the individual. They survive through our cooperation: because we choose to allow them to, and we can change them or eliminate them through nothing more than the degree to which we cooperate with them. We do not overtly rebel against the system and bring attention to ourselves: we instead subtly transform our collective selves into the ghost in the machine through the hundreds of little ways each of us has to become a monkey wrench in whatever subsystem we find ourselves, and we do so in ways that do not jeopardize our livelihoods or personal relationships. Committing to basing our daily decisions on the Golden Rule and transforming these institutions from the inside through how we participate in them is how we release the rage at what we are seeing, and ease our frustration at being unable to change our world.
We have no centralized command, no leaders to follow, and no one to account to except God himself: the battle plan is for each of us to serve humanity for the sake of God, and our chain of command is direct to the joint presence of God and Jesus’ Spirit of Truth in our minds. Embracing the fatherhood of God, the siblinghood of humanity, and our greatest duty to serve humanity for the sake of God gives us the power and courage to choose differently: to reject as much as possible anything that violates our inner voice or our highest understanding of God, while at the same time we work to uplift those efforts that are in service to the siblinghood of humanity for the sake of God. Jesus did not tell people what was wrong with their beliefs, but rather he built on what they already had right about God and then allowed that greater truth to eventually grow and push out whatever was false in their original ideas about God. This is a process, not an event. By individually becoming positively passive aggressive with the evil dominating our daily lives we collectively subvert its control over all of us, and by each of us committing to the Golden Rule among us we eventually unite ourselves in loving service to one another: we become peaceful warriors bringing about heaven on Earth through the daily free-will choices we make. If we can visualize this, we can accomplish it.
Okay. That is the basic knowledge a person needs to break free of the forces now controlling us, whether we are in a simulated matrix, somehow controlled by a bunch of lizard people, or under the thumbs of a few perverted humans who have managed to amass too much power. No one needs anything else to be free, regardless of their physical circumstances.
One of the finer points to accepting our gift of eternal life is the expectation that we then grow and participate in bringing about the kingdom of heaven on Earth. We learn how to do that by studying how Jesus lived his life among us: there is no knowledge on Earth more important for an individual to acquire and embody than the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth—the fruits of the spirit that arise from our experiential learning are our passport across that proverbial bridge and into the system training worlds of the morontia realm, our next phase in the ascent to God.
I have three requests and one final tip of advice:
First, for each of you to put just a little effort into sharing and spreading this message farther and wider than you normally would. In doing so, you immediately become a kingdom worker—if you are not already— and you are sowing seeds for the harvest ahead.
My second request is for you to support the Son of Man: Urantia Project, and the best way to do so is to buy a copy of the book, Son of Man: Urantia, available at the Lulu dot com bookstore. Son of Man: Urantia brings forth the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth for today’s generation, and guides each person at their own level of spiritual development. Remember, nothing can remain static and survive: we must grow to continue the journey to God.
If you are not able to afford a copy of the book, Son of Man: Urantia, the PDF version is available for free or whatever amount you would like to donate. All of the Son of Man: Urantia Project material is published on my Substack page in various formats, and you can subscribe for free or paid. Donations are of course accepted, and greatly appreciated: the PayPal donation link below.
The third request is for you to start a program of constant personal development across all aspects of your life, with the goal of becoming nothing less than the best person you can be. You have a purpose now—serving humanity for the sake of God, and our efforts in this lifetime somehow sort us for, or channel us into the work ahead.
And finally, my sisters and brothers, my advice is to relax into a state of unknowing. And I mean that about everything in your life except the truth of spiritual matters that arise from your conversations with the loving, merciful, and forgiving God-father inside each of us. There is absolutely nothing else in this world of facts, theories, conspiracies, and political, religious, and scientific expediency that you can fully trust. Nothing. We are all in this together, but ultimately it comes down to just you and God with Jesus as mediator.
Stand strong, everyone. We each, and all together, have much more support than we know. This is the only battle where God has chosen sides down here on Earth, it is the only battle that counts in eternity, and God is riding shotgun with each one of us as we serve humanity for his sake and help Jesus bring this world into the era of life and light. Muster up your courage, and then get to work: your adventure has just begun.
Godspeed,
Bob Kezer

An Appeal to Agnostics and Moderates of all Faiths
That tone…
This last year I have been working with the solfeggio frequencies—both 4-8 hours a day as background tone with headphones and in seated meditation. They are addictive, it seems. Right now my sound is not working on my computer, and I feel the “need” for them.
During this process the background tone that is always in my head when my mind is quiet came into greater awareness…I became aware over time of it blending in and harmonizing with the other nine, coming closest to 963hz.
Is there any talk out there about this background tone that I am assuming everyone else also has when their mind is quiet being the actual “word” or frequency of God? Our connection to the divine? The tone that permeates all of creation and binds us together in one family under the fatherhood of God the Ultimate?
And more to the point, has anyone else noticed this frequency increasing in volume…becoming more apparent when monkey mind is in play?
Something’s happening…and it is f’cking powerful. Whatever it means to you personally, I suggest getting right with God. And now.
Godspeed, everyone…no matter what comes ahead always hold to the fact that we are in a universe based on ultimate love, no matter what it is looking like to us at our pay grade…

Jesus on Justice, Kindness, and the Family
Jesus had a firm sense of justice, but it was always tempered with mercy. He did not teach his apostles that they had to give money to social parasites or professional beggars. The nearest he came to making a sociological pronouncement was to say, Judge not, so that you will not be judged. Jesus was clear that indiscriminate kindness can be blamed for many social problems. The next day Jesus was firm when he told Judas that none of their money was to be given out as alms except on his request or on the joint petition of two of the apostles. In matters like this, Jesus always said, Be as wise as serpents, but as harmless as doves. In all situations, Jesus taught patience, tolerance, and forgiveness. The family was at the center of Jesus' philosophy of life, here and hereafter. He based his teachings about God on the family, while he sought to correct the Jewish tendency to over-honor their ancestors. He placed family life as the highest human duty, but he also made it plain that family must not interfere with religious obligations. Jesus pointed out that the family is a temporal institution that it does not survive death.

Growth of Character and Morality
Our personalities are pretty much set. What changes is our morality, our character. The primary mistake of today's religions is that they are focused on the negative side of life, telling people what not to do. But the tree that does not bear fruit gets cut down and used for firewood. We cannot help people grow in character just by telling them what not to do. Fear, shame, and guilt are not good motivations for living or for following God. Religion is of value only when it demonstrates the fatherhood of God and improves the brotherhood of humanity. Living well requires a combination of cosmic insight and adjusting one's reactions to their social and economic situation. While inherited urges cannot be changed, our responses to them can, and this effort of aligning our emotions with our beliefs in God is how we grow in character and develop a unified and integrated personality.

Thomas: The Doubting Hero
Thomas is the heroic example of a person who has doubts, faces them, and wins. He was not a harping critic, and he had an impressive mind. Thomas was logical, and became the acid test for Jesus and his fellow apostles. If Jesus and his work had not been true, it would not have held Thomas from the start to the finish. He had a keen and sure sense of fact, and no tolerance for anything but fact. He would have walked away at the first sign of fraud. Know this. While today's scientists may not understand Jesus and his work on earth, there was a man who lived and worked with Jesus and the others who had the mind of a true scientist, Thomas Didymus, and he believed in Jesus of Nazareth. Thomas had a hard time during the days of the trial and crucifixion. For a while he despaired, but he rallied his courage, stuck to the apostles, and was with the rest of them to later welcome Jesus on the Sea of Galilee.

John the Apostle of Love
What John liked most about Jesus was his love and unselfishness. These traits made such an impression on John that the rest of his life was dominated by love and brotherly devotion. He talked about love and wrote about love. This son of thunder became the apostle of love. At Ephesus, when our aged bishop could no longer stand and preach and had to be carried to church in a chair, he would be asked to say a few words to the believers at the end of the service. And for years, the only thing he said was, My little children, love one another.

Jesus Defends His Fellowship with Sinners
When the Pharisees saw Jesus and the guests having such a good time, in their hearts they began to turn against Jesus. Eventually, one of them took Peter aside and chastised him, saying, How dare you to teach that this man is righteous when he eats with sinners and publicans and enjoys such scenes of careless pleasure? Peter then told Jesus what the Pharisee had said. Later, at the end of the evening, just before Jesus gave blessings to those at the party, he said, In coming here tonight to welcome Simon and Matthew to our fellowship, I am glad to witness your social good cheer and lightheartedness. but you should rejoice even more because many of you will find entrance into the coming kingdom of the spirit wherein you will abundantly enjoy the good things of the kingdom of heaven and to those of you who stand about criticizing me in your hearts because i have come here to enjoy myself with these friends Let me say that I have come to announce joy to the socially downtrodden and spiritual liberty to the moral captives. Do I have to remind you that it is not healthy people who need a doctor, but rather those who are sick? I have not come to call the righteous, but rather the sinners.

A People’s Manifesto: America, the Golden Rule, and Human Sovereignty on Earth
There have been times in humanity’s past when windows of opportunity have opened, a convergence of many cycles over hundreds of years resulting in a critical mass that makes change inevitable and where our choices determine the quality of life for scores of generations to come. One of these periods led to the creation of our Republic, and history has shown that our ancestors carried the day and through their courage brought forth a better existence not only for our people but the rest of the world. The event that consolidated the people’s resolve into what became the American Revolution was the publication of Thomas Paine’s pamphlet, Common Sense, where he was able to bring forth the grievances against the monarchy and clarified the people’s innate right to rule themselves. Thomas Jefferson and others refined those ideas into the United States Constitution. Today, Americans once again are threatened with tyranny from both within and without. But different today is that we are no longer an isolated people: humanity and the lines and systems of power across the world have become so integrated and so corrupted that there really is no way for the people of one country, much less the world’s most powerful country, to secure true freedom for themselves greater than that enjoyed by others in the world: we are all today subservient to forces greater than any of our governments, and while slaves may live under different conditions all are slaves none the less. Either we the American people seize this opportunity for redirecting our country and turn it into a mass global awaking across humanity that results in a freer, more just, and more sustainable world for everyone, or we along with the rest of humanity will surrender to the forces determined to control us and eventually be reduced to nothing short of abysmal servitude. The only thing power cannot directly control on a mass scale are sane mentally stable people’s minds: our free will is intact and it is the key to our survival. The nebulous power over our world’s supposedly sovereign nations is now vying for its final step in world domination, and this is happening whether we like it or not. The time for confrontation is on us; further procrastination on our part will be fatal. The questions are if enough Americans today are up to the challenge? Can we reunite our country under the American spirit that got us here and channel that energy into once again defeating the forces of darkness attempting to destroy the Republic? Will we and our future generations be nothing more than cattle, slaves, and house servants to an elite master, or do we say no and take the action needed to regain—because it has been lost—our freedom? Are we men enough, citizens enough, to carry the day in our world’s greatest battle to date and then guide the rest of humanity into the long-held dream of world peace?
The truth present or not in the following can only be validated internally between you and your spirit of God—that faint voice that all of your life has been saying go here or go there, do this or do that—resident inside of you. There are many unanswered questions: humanity does not know peace, freedom, and goodwill: it is instead ready to learn how to come to peace, to live free, and to embrace the siblinghood of humanity. These proposals promote spiritual unity, not cultural uniformity: there is no centralization, no command structure, no need to commit to a belief in nonviolence or give up your right to self-defense, no commitment to religious beliefs related to any faith other than those stemming from your own personal experience with God in your mind, and in no way do these ideas promote a one world government, a one world religion, or any other type of human-based global power structure other than the collective will of humanity itself. They do, though, require that enough people assume their responsibility to both America and humanity.
The idea that God is sovereign in creation and humanity under God is supposed to be sovereign on Earth—in other words the idea of one God and that governments serve humanity not us serving them—comes from the Urantia revelation. God is understood as the ultimate father exhibiting absolute love, mercy, and forgiveness: in all ways the epitome of truth, beauty, and goodness. An entity of God our father resides in the mind of every person who has shown themselves capable of doing God’s will, hence the siblinghood of humanity: we are all sisters and brothers with the same God-father. This highest revelation of God yet brought to Earth came in the life of Jesus of Nazareth, and before leaving he left his last and greatest commandment: to serve others as he or God our Father would have us do. Our highest duty as citizens of the world is to serve humanity for the sake of God. This highest level of the Golden Rule takes those of us applying it out of the picture, and forces us to conduct ourselves in a manner consistent with the other person’s best welfare. When enough of the people staffing our world’s institutions have committed to following the Golden Rule in all of their decisions both at home and at work, then those few people attempting to subvert the system at its highest levels will lose their ability to do so. All evil wielded as sin requires our participation to manifest, and when we refuse it has no power. The idea that the king had no inherent right or ability to rule came from Etienne de la Boétie who, in his book The Discourse on Voluntary Servitude explained that people were willingly enslaving themselves through their participation in the tyranny oppressing them. These ideas were later refined by Gene Sharp into his theory of social power and activated though his book From Dictatorship to Democracy, where he details the ways to undermine a dictator’s power using nonviolent civil disobedience. Theories of peace wax well on paper but crumble on the street, and public institutions and systems of commerce and governance, no matter how perfect they may seem on paper will never work because of the ever-present overlay of corruption and people’s willing or unknowing participation in it. And therein is the key: if enough of these people commit to the Golden Rule—to not engaging in those activities that violate one’s goodwill toward their siblings whether legal or not—then the system subjugating the people dissolves: banks cannot practice legal usury if people will not staff the jobs enabling it.
Reality
A freer, more just, and more peaceful world in the future requires enough people accepting the fatherhood of God and the subsequent siblinghood of humanity, and then committing to the highest level of the Golden Rule in their lives at home and work. The process is going to be messy, mistakes will be made, and as usually happens humanity will go overboard until reason sets in and the new order is established. Our best hope for negotiating our way forward is to first commit ourselves to the highest goal we can visualize, and then use only those ways in alignment with that goal to bring it about. In this way we transform our society into a higher order of human existence instead of cycling back to the systems of power that today threaten our survival: in other words, the means shape the goal and the goal must never be used to justify means that are contrary to the Golden Rule.
God, not religion, is central to our future. Because of this the idea of atheism first needs to be clarified and then put aside: it is unsupportable and will eventually have little relevance. The philosophical side of the atheist’s statement of disbelief in God is more correctly put as disbelief in God as presented by the world’s religions and portrayed in the lives of their members. Given the hypocrisy, contradictions, and unmitigated horror associated with the world’s religions what sane person can argue for God’s existence based on religious dogma without in the end simply reverting to one of the many “just because” stories. The religions dominating the planet today, without exception, have not only failed to elevate the dignity, integrity, and welfare of humanity they have done much to reduce us to our present level of depravity—a level so low that it should be unimaginable to even the most barbaric among us instead of being our accepted everyday existence.
But once the true nature of God our father is known and the evolutionary process of material worlds is understood, most people then validate the truth of God’s existence through their own unique experiences interacting with the actual entity of God resident in their mind. Knowing God’s existence is not based on deductive reasoning, but rather on your personal experience with God and only you can validate the truth of that experience: no one else can enter the process even if you so desired that they do so. You, in your heart, must decide the truth or not of God. Knowing God in this way, through actual experience, is true religion as opposed to the social groups of people believing the same way that are now formed around the world’s faiths.
On the pseudo-scientific side arguing for atheism are those people claiming to be both atheists and scientists who base their disbelief in God on their belief that consciousness cannot exist without a physical correlate, in other words, no brain no consciousness hence no soul. Even though science cannot prove that consciousness cannot exist without a brain, they believe that eventually it will. The problems here are that a belief is a philosophical statement of reality, where the scientific method is a process absent of belief and dependent on observation, experimentation, and the commitment to follow the evidence where ever it leads. Regarding whether or not consciousness can exist without a brain, there are innumerable documented cases of near-death experiences by medical doctors showing what does appear to be consciousness after the death of the material brain that supposedly produced it. At this point in humanity’s knowledge the most any true scientist can say on the subject of God’s existence is “I do not know.” From there that scientist then has every right to develop his own personal belief system and internal relationship with God without compromising his scientific integrity or being ostracized by the scientific community.
Both cases above are different than those people who cannot know God. Not everyone is born with a mind capable of making a decision based on truth, beauty, or goodness: this is obvious in today’s world. These people do not receive an entity from God to reside in their minds—they are the people who have committed some of humanity’s most horrific atrocities, and they are viewed by the rest of the celestial host in the universe as animals of that world with no potential for developing an eternal soul. When Jesus was asked by a friend if he would defend himself if attacked, it was this type of person to which Jesus referred when he answered that he would, and that he would do whatever it took regardless of the consequences to the other man. In other words, in this case the other person was seen as an animal and not as a son of God, and if needed he would be treated the same as one would do to a wild animal attacking them.
In the end, the question of God’s existence cannot be successfully argued either way. Knowledge of God comes down to the person validating that experience in their heart based on their personal experience with the entity of God in their mind, combined with their knowledge of God’s nature and his plan for humanity’s spiritual evolution. No one else is or can be involved in this process: it is internal and personal to each one of us. Over our history humanity has been given progressively higher revelations of God as we have grown in spiritual maturity: these revelations have progressed from fear of the lord to love and worship of the divine father. The last and highest of these divine revelations was shown to us throughout Jesus’ life on Earth as he went about doing good. His life, not his teachings, demonstrated for us the revelation of God resident in all people’s minds, the subsequent realization of the siblinghood of humanity, and his greatest commandment to serve humanity for the sake of God. The God-father that Jesus brought to us through his life of love and service never condoned any of the horrific acts attributed to him. To be specific: anything and everything that has ever been said, written, or enacted under the name of God that does not exceed the epitome of humanity’s understanding of truth, beauty, and goodness is wrong: it is human based and will not survive eternity. While there are reasons our world suffers as it does, absolutely none of them relate to God willfully making us suffer, and along that same line, there is no hell where God supposedly punishes us for our sins. Eternal life is a gift freely given, it is to be freely received, and at all times the choice to remain in God’s kingdom is ours: we are not forced to survive. In the case of those people who have spent a life of sin, a life of knowingly going against God’s will, when the point of decision arrives in their lives they choose to not ask for forgiveness: God may have already forgiven them, but a lifetime of bad decisions hardens them to where they do not want that forgiveness. In the end, with these people all of value in their life returns to the father and the once human personality born in time and space simply dissipates back into the universe like would a drop of water in the ocean. Furthermore, on the one topic that has probably held more people back from joining Christianity than any other over the ages: God did not send Jesus to die and pay for the sins of others. Not only did human beings murder Jesus, but the entire idea of punishing someone else for our sins is crass—it is a childish display of people’s depravity representing, along with all other ideas of God ransoming our worship, humanity’s lowest level of spiritual maturity. If Christianity holds to the atonement doctrine and fails to resolve the despicable infighting between its hundreds of sects the religion founded by man under Jesus’ name will become irrelevant. Love is the essence of creation, the universe has a perfect symmetry to it that cannot be violated, and anything not in perfect oneness with God is error—evil without malice—and will eventually either come to oneness with God or be pushed out of existence in eternity.
The world’s religions are social groups for people who believe the same way. As God is no respecter of people, he is also no respecter of cultures, religions, or generations of people: none hold God’s favor. These religions teach that God is distant and that we humans have to go to God to petition him for entrance into the kingdom of heaven, instead of the truth that God comes to us and literally installs an entity that is one and the same as himself in our minds. It is this pair, the entity of God and the developing human personality, that at some point in our spiritual progression eventually melds into the new eternal soul. By religions teaching that God is separate from the person they intentionally create space where it can be said that others have the right or power to intervene between God and the person. This is false doctrine, most of the world’s religious leaders know it is false, and it allows clergy and other self-proclaimed gurus to place themselves between God and the person so they can control them for their own purposes.
Humanity’s need is for the world’s religions to accept equal status as social groups under the umbrella of one God the father of all. Greater humanity has the right to demand this shift in theology, or we have the right to abolish those religions that continue to divide us. No religion or any other human institution has the right to force its will on the rest of the world. Change of this order is a process, not an event. All religions have their clergy, their fanatics, their devoted followers and those more moderate, and then those people who are considered backslidden—people who see themselves as members of the faith but make no attempt to outwardly practice it. Of these groups the acceptance of God the universal father residing in each person’s mind and the equal status of religions under that God will at first be accepted by the moderates and people backslidden. These two groups represent the greatest number of people in any of the world’s faiths, and many of them have been lack-luster in embracing their religion for just the same reasons that other people chose atheism. It is from these people that the seeds of a new world will eventually come to fruit when they realize the true nature of God—a God they not only want to believe in, but now with dignity can. Power is never relinquished peacefully: it is taken. The clergy and fanatics in the religion will fight to hold their power but they have to be confronted, and while the exact process will be different in every situation one thing will remain the same: the new cannot come into existence until the old has gone away. In the process of this inevitable confrontation the devoted members of the faith—those people who are sincere but not fanatical in their desires to know and do God’s will—will be able to see each side for the truth it contains. With time the old guard in the world’s faiths will either be purged or die off, and a new more mature spiritual leadership will assume control and facilitate the peaceful existence of all religions under the umbrella of our one mutual father.
From the acceptance of the fatherhood of God stems the subsequent fact of the siblinghood of humanity: the fact that all human beings are spiritual sisters and brothers with an entity of the same divine father indwelling their minds. This creates spiritual unity among people without forcing cultural uniformity. In other words, nothing outwardly changes—we pursue our own lives in our own countries according to our own cultures watching our own governments continue to posture and compete and make fools of themselves all the while simply realizing that we are all members of the greater family of God and treat one another accordingly. Again, it will be the moderates and those backslidden that will at first be willing to open their hearts in love and siblinghood, if they have not already done so.
Jesus’ last and greatest commandment was the Golden Rule: to treat all other people as he or God our mutual father would have us do instead of the previous lower level of the rule where we were to treat others as we ourselves wanted to be treated. By taking ourselves out of the picture we focus our efforts on doing God’s will without letting our petty feelings and human urges and desires degrade the process. The Golden Rule is committing to making any decision based on the choice that contains the highest level of truth, beauty, or goodness in any given situation, and refusing to engage in activities that harm others for our own or other’s benefits. When enough of the people staffing our world’s governments, corporations, and public institutions have committed to the Golden Rule those people engaged in activities harmful to humanity for their own gain cannot carry out their plans. The ultimate power always resides with the people’s willingness to participate: when enough people refuse to do so, all power structures dissolve.
The American people with their extreme individualism and personal independence have succeeded where others have not, and our past achievements have elevated life for many others in the world. We today still have the seeds of that spirit inside us, but no we longer have a government that represents us or our founding principles or is responsive to our calls for change: the normal channels for legislative process have been subverted and it is unsupportable to say that the people’s will is being met, much less honored. The noblest government ever devised by man, one crafted specifically for its citizens to pursue lives of freedom, happiness, and prosperity has become infested over generations with elected leaders and appointed bureaucrats using their positions of power for their and other’s benefits at the expense of our freedom. We know this: we see it every day yet we have become so conditioned to simply living with malicious evil and so beaten down into accepting our master’s will from regulations and economic hardship that we Americans today are on the verge of losing our right to claim that title as Americans. The most important crime of my lifetime in our country was the murder of our beloved President John F. Kennedy, the singular event that steered us into the spiral of deceit and corruption today threatening the very essence of our nation. And yet on learning the truth that our CIA and others in our government were responsible for his murder, that a coup had occurred in our country and the perpetrators were still in play, Americans did nothing and continued on with life simply waiting for the next blow to land so they could forget that one. Where was the outrage? Where was the mass spontaneous out pouring on to the streets shutting down business as normal in our country until those responsible for killing President Kennedy were found, tried, and publicly hung by their necks until they were fucking dead?
When systems governing people’s lives become so corrupt and perverted, so entrenched and so blatantly wrong over generations people lose their sense of identity: they no longer know who they are. They can sense their demise but cannot see it. America is at that point: many of our people know not from where they come and most of our people are grasping for saviors instead of looking to themselves. The basic element of any human society is the person. As each of us matures society improves, but if we devolve back to our animal nature our lives and country will resemble that state. We the citizens are America. We need to change our country from the bottom up, which means each of us coming to terms with reality as we know it and then embracing our duty to transform ourselves, and in the process our society, into a higher level of existence though the recognition of the siblinghood of humanity and our commitment to serve man for the sake of God. We are better than how we are now existing. The era of goodwill on Earth is in our grasp, and Americans are in the unique position to usher it in though the decisions we make in the weeks ahead. We can accept business as normal—which is nothing short of evil made legal happening right in front of our eyes—or we can demand an accounting for what brought us to our knees and insist that our elected leaders create a government that truly serves us while working to facilitate the global transformation needed to achieve peace on Earth and goodwill among humanity. Our leverage is our participation across every aspect of society that supports our leaders, and if we withdrawal that participation they lose power. In the end, humanity holds the right to sovereignty over the Earth but we can only assume that position by enough of us becoming the people we want our leaders to be: we can expect nothing less of ourselves and still achieve the social transformation needed for our future survival. Stand tall Americans and assume your destiny: we are once again called to uplift the world and we will either meet our challenge or the world will suffer for many generations ahead. Godspeed.
America, the Golden Rule, and Human Sovereignty on Earth
Hello from Cuenca, Ecuador.
We are meeting at Paul Kemp’s request that I start a group on SpiritualFamily.Net and post a recent video, “A People’s Manifesto: America, the Golden Rule, and Human Sovereignty on Earth.” I appreciate the offer and am looking forward to some great interactions.
We are also meeting about 35 years after the seed for this project was planted on my first stumble through the Urantia revelation, and it represents what will be my life’s work for the better part of the next century. This will all be better explained in an upcoming post, “Genesis” and as I create the next phase of the project that involves waking up the “sleeping dragons” in our country (hints: the world’s only a bridge; our current lifespan is not organic, and wisdom needs both knowledge and enough time on planet to know how to use it).
I will post an introduction to the Son of Man: Urantia Project in the next few days. My computer was stuck in the shop waiting on funds for a week, and I am still scrambling in catch-up mode. Thank you for your patience over the next few days or so as I figure out this platform and get you all some juicy material to digest.
The home substack page is at robertakezer.substack.com.
Son of Man: Urantia is available in PDF, E-book, and print versions in English and Spanish at the links below.
More to come.
Godspeed, everyone.
