As you know, a beautiful account of his birth can be found in Paper 122, Section 8 “The Birth of Jesus,” page 1351:
“All that night Mary was restless so that neither of them slept much. By the break of day the pangs of childbirth were well in evidence, and at noon, August 21, 7 b.c., with the help and kind ministrations of women fellow travelers, Mary was delivered of a male child. Jesus of Nazareth was born into the world, was wrapped in the clothes which Mary had brought along for such a possible contingency, and laid in a near-by manger.”
Many Urantia Book readers celebrate Christ’s birth each year on August 21 by attending “Jesus Birthday” parties or picnics—in addition to celebrating Christmas in December. Figuring out “how many candles to put on the cake,” so to speak, is always a mathematical challenge. For each year, it tells you how many years since the birth of Jesus. August 21, 2023, will be 2029 years since Jesus was born on earth (Urantia).
