"Do the local universe personalities(and WHICH ones to be specific?)...in reference to the MH assistants"...not sure how they are "in the reference to", if you want to know they work together? or are you comparing the jobs/roles of each? Would really need to know if you are thinking of a certain group of Nebadon personalities or all of them in general...?
But, if I now read this the way you are "saying" it, with a pause(comma) after the words Normal life, I could accept your understanding of the difference of the two as I haven't given the whole idea much thought....bravo, my brother!
