The decision was made, after studying 3 locations, to select Nazareth/Palestine as the place for where Michael would be born to Mary and Joseph (one of 3 couples studied), who were not even yet married(!), as Yeshua Ben Yosef/Joshua ben Joseph/Jesus. This was a central point in Palestine for trade and commerce, and safely and peacefully ignored by the Roman overlords as it geographically separated 2 of their potential enemies. This afforded Jesus many opportunities to meet with all kinds of people, caravan visitors and doing business there both with his earth father, Joseph, and in the area.
