The cultural civilizations of the past and the present have been based upon the intelligent co-operation of the citizenry with wise and progressive leaders; and until man evolves to higher levels, civilization will continue to be dependent on wise and vigorous leadership.

  81:6.38 High civilizations are born of the sagacious correlation of material wealth, intellectual greatness, moral worth, social cleverness, and cosmic insight.

133:5.6 Mathematics asserts that, if one person stands for a certain unit of intellectual and moral value, ten persons would stand for ten times this value. But in dealing with human personality it would be nearer the truth to say that such a personality association is a sum equal to the square of the number of personalities concerned in the equation rather than the simple arithmetical sum. A social group of human beings in co-ordinated working harmony stands for a force far greater than the simple sum of its parts.

  133:5.7 Quantity may be identified as a fact, thus becoming a scientific uniformity. Quality, being a matter of mind interpretation, represents an estimate of values, and must, therefore, remain an experience of the individual. When both science and religion become less dogmatic and more tolerant of criticism, philosophy will then begin to achieve unity in the intelligent comprehension of the universe.

2. Protecting Rights:** The constitution serves as a safeguard for our fundamental rights and freedoms. By understanding its provisions, we are better equipped to protect ourselves and our communities from potential abuses of power.

3. Informed Citizenship:** An informed citizenry is the backbone of a healthy democracy. Knowledge of the constitution enhances our ability to make sound judgments about political issues, policies, and the actions of our elected representatives.

4. Legal Literacy:** Understanding the constitution contributes to legal literacy. It allows us to navigate legal processes, advocate for our rights, and ensures fair treatment under the law.

5. Civic Engagement:** A deep understanding of the constitution encourages active civic engagement. Whether it's voting, participating in community initiatives, or peacefully protesting, an informed citizenry strengthens the democratic fabric of our nation.

6. Responsibility and Accountability:** The constitution defines the structure of our government and the limits of its power. When citizens understand these principles, they can hold public officials accountable for their actions, promoting transparency and ethical governance.

7. Unity in Diversity:** Uganda's diverse population can find a common ground in the constitution. Understanding its principles fosters unity by promoting a shared understanding of the values that bind us together as a nation.

8. Preventing Misinformation:** Misinformation can lead to confusion and mistrust. By understanding our constitution, we reduce the likelihood of being misled and contribute to a more informed and resilient society.

If Christianity persists in neglecting its spiritual mission while it continues to busy itself with social and material problems, the spiritual renaissance must await the coming of these new teachers of Jesus' religion who will be exclusively devoted to the spiritual regeneration of men. And then will these spirit-born souls quickly supply the leadership and inspiration requisite for the social, moral, economic, and political reorganization of the world.

 

6. LAW, LIBERTY, AND SOVEREIGNTY

  134:6.1 If one man craves freedom -- liberty -- he must remember that all other men long for the same freedom. Groups of such liberty-loving mortals cannot live together in peace without becoming subservient to such laws, rules, and regulations as will grant each person the same degree of freedom while at the same time safeguarding an equal degree of freedom for all of his fellow mortals. If one man is to be absolutely free, then another must become an absolute slave. And the relative nature of freedom is true socially, economically, and politically. Freedom is the gift of civilization made possible by the enforcement of LAW.

The measure of the advance of society is directly determined by the degree to which public opinion can control personal behavior and state regulation through nonviolent expression. The really civilized government had arrived when public opinion was clothed with the powers of personal franchise. Popular elections may not always decide things rightly, but they represent the right way even to do a wrong thing. Evolution does not at once produce superlative perfection but rather comparative and advancing practical adjustment.

There are ten steps, or stages, to the evolution of a practical and efficient form of representative government, and these are:


image1. Freedom of the person. Slavery, serfdom, and all forms of human bondage must disappear. 


image 2. Freedom of the mind. Unless a free people are educated -- taught to think intelligently and plan wisely -- freedom usually does more harm than good. 
 
image 3. The reign of law. Liberty can be enjoyed only when the will and whims of human rulers are replaced by legislative enactments in accordance with accepted fundamental law. 
 
image4. Freedom of speech. Representative government is unthinkable without freedom of all forms of expression for human aspirations and opinions. 
 
image5. Security of property. No government can long endure if it fails to provide for the right to enjoy personal property in some form. Man craves the right to use, control, bestow, sell, lease, and bequeath his personal property. 

image6. The right of petition. Representative government assumes the right of citizens to be heard. The privilege of petition is inherent in free citizenship. 
 
image7. The right to rule. It is not enough to be heard; the power of petition must progress to the actual management of the government. 
 
image8. Universal suffrage. Representative government presupposes an intelligent, efficient, and universal electorate. The character of such a government will ever be determined by the character and caliber of those who compose it. As civilization progresses, suffrage, while remaining universal for both sexes, will be effectively modified, regrouped, and otherwise differentiated. 
 
image9. Control of public servants. No civil government will be serviceable and effective unless the citizenry possess and use wise techniques of guiding and controlling officeholders and public servants. 
 
image10. Intelligent and trained representation. The survival of democracy is dependent on successful representative government; and that is conditioned upon the practice of electing to public offices only those individuals who are technically trained, intellectually competent, socially loyal, and morally fit. Only by such provisions can government of the people, by the people, and for the people be preserved.

Organized religion has proved to be conservatively tardy. The prophets have usually led the people in religious development; the theologians have usually held them back. Religion, being a matter of inner or personal experience, can never develop very far in advance of the intellectual evolution of the races.

 

  144:8.4 "Verily, verily, I say to you, among those born of women there has not arisen a greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is but small in the kingdom of heaven is greater because he has been born of the spirit and knows that he has become a son of God."

 

 

 

 

 About Prophecy

Isaiah tells us that God’s ways are not man’s ways. God’s words, the words of true prophecy, are also not like man's words.  God’s words start as small seedlings and over time they grow, give off branches, form buds, and finally, burst into bloom.  Just so, the word "Israel" starts out as the tiny seed of one man named Abraham, but through the ages, the word "Israel" grows, changes, and finally bursts forth into the brotherhood of all mankind.  

Words of prophecy often have past, present, and future connotations. Each word demands tremendous respect and study of all the contexts of its usage.  Reverence for the source of prophecy is the key to its study, for it is God who must lead our minds into the understanding of what He himself has inspired?  

Without the indwelling spirit there would be no prophecy and no interpretation of prophecy.  But reason and the scientific method are also critical for the elimination of error, and for the building of a strong foundation from whence inspired intuition may leap safely.  

Therefore, both reason and faith are necessary for the complete appreciation of prophecy, just as they are for the full appreciation of all other phenomena.

 

  99:5.11 What a mistake for Christians to make when, in presenting Christ as the supreme ideal of spiritual leadership, they dare to require God-conscious men and women to reject the historic leadership of the God-knowing men who have contributed to their particular national or racial illumination during past ages.

 

  5:2.3 The divine presence cannot, however, be discovered anywhere in nature or even in the lives of God-knowing mortals so fully and so certainly as in your attempted communion with the indwelling Mystery Monitor, the Paradise Thought Adjuster. What a mistake to dream of God far off in the skies when the spirit of the Universal Father lives within your own mind!

 

26:11.5 The mortal creature must find God. The Creator Son never stops until he finds man -- the lowest will creature. Beyond doubt, the Creator Sons and their mortal children are preparing for some future and unknown universe service. Both traverse the gamut of the experiential universe and so are educated and trained for their eternal mission. Throughout the universes there is occurring this unique blending of the human and the divine, the commingling of creature and Creator. Unthinking mortals have referred to the manifestation of divine mercy and tenderness, especially towards the weak and in behalf of the needy, as indicative of an anthropomorphic God. What a mistake! Rather should such manifestations of mercy and forbearance by human beings be taken as evidence that mortal man is indwelt by the spirit of the living God; that the creature is, after all, divinity motivated.

Welcome Message and Objectives

 

This group is for those who are motivated to create and sponsor a Urantia organization with the expressed purpose of supporting evangelists, ministers, teachers, preachers, disciples, apostles, missionaries and healers.

Proposal

1. We propose to advocate the active growth of the revelation

2. We propose a policy of enabling, empowering, sponsoring and promoting the active participation of the Urantian community in furthering the revelation and the gospel of the kingdom of heaven.

3. We propose a policy of supporting active individuals who have a desire to serve, minister and evangelize our communities, both locally and globally.

4. We propose a policy of encouraging teamwork; building relationship-based groups focused on spiritual goals; stimulating communication and networking with the community through all open avenues including group zoom calls, phone calls, messenger, Facebook and face-to-face meetings.

5. We propose to build small groups or help evolve existing groups into focus groups, care groups and spiritual groups focused on spiritual goals.

6. We propose to plan and sponsor worship-based conferences, ministries, prayer meetings and churches focused on outreach to the community and edifying believers.

7. We propose to emphasize the gospel of the kingdom of heaven and center our activities, policies and programs on Part IV of the Urantia Book, guided by the Spirit of Truth, taught by the life and teachings of Joshua ben Joseph and counselled by the inner spirit of God the Father.

8. We propose to train and become new teachers of the gospel exclusively devoted to the spiritual transformation of the individual. We agree to build and grow believers into kingdom builders, community leaders, spiritual activists and dynamic sons and daughters of the Living God.

We advocate the ABC’s of ministry:

A ) Evangelism – going out into all the world making disciples of all nations

B ) Teaching ministry – the inner circle of believers focused on teaching and training evangelists and ministers, worship leaders, administrators, healers.

C ) Healing ministry – creating healing programs of personal care, prayer, health and nutrition, online prayer and support for addictions, mental health, marital counselling, depression.
