How did Jesus act?
There was so little of the professional, the well-planned, or the premeditated in the Master's earthly ministry. He dispensed health and scattered happiness naturally and gracefully as he journeyed through life. It was literally true, "He went about doing good." 171:7.9
Universe Frames for thought
Conceptual frames of the universe are only relatively true; they are serviceable scaffolding which must eventually give way before the expansions of enlarging cosmic comprehension. The understandings of truth, beauty, and goodness, morality, ethics, duty, love, divinity, origin, existence, purpose, destiny, time, space, even Deity, are only relatively true. God is much, much more than a Father, but the Father is man’s highest concept of God; 115:1.2
Progress
“Civilization can hardly progress when the majority of the youth of any generation devote their interests and energies to the materialistic pursuits of the sensory or outer world.” 111:4.3
Faith
"…faith will expand the mind, ennoble the soul, reinforce the personality, augment the happiness, deepen the spirit perception, and enhance the power to love and be loved." Jesus 159:3.1
Socialization of Religion
There is a real purpose in the socialization of religion. It is the purpose of group religious activities to dramatize the loyalties of religion; to magnify the lures of truth, beauty, and goodness; to foster the attractions of supreme values; to enhance the service of unselfish fellowship; to glorify the potentials of family life... 99:6.2
Verily, verily, I say to you, whosoever receives not the kingdom of God as a little child shall hardly enter therein to grow up to the full stature of spiritual manhood." Jesus 167:6.1
Interaction with others
He was always ready and willing to stop a sermon or detain a multitude while he ministered to the needs of a single person, even to a little child. Jesus 171:7.8
Self Respect
"Forget not that I will stop at nothing to restore
self-respect to those who have lost it, and who
really desire to regain it. Jesus, 159:3.3
Spiritual Assurance Formula
Spiritual assurance is the equivalent of your personal religious experience in the eternal realities of divine truth and is otherwise equal to your intelligent understanding of truth realities plus your spiritual faith and minus your honest doubts. Jesus 146:3.4
Stand strong, be of good cheer
"And when such disheartened souls sincerely seek for God--hunger for truth and thirst for righteousness--there is nothing that can hold them in further captivity. Jesus, 130:1.2
On Your Side
"You may be surrounded with small enemies and be retarded by many obstacles, but the big things and the real things of this world and the universe are on your side. Jesus, 130:6.6
Your Destiny
"Your spiritual destiny is conditioned only by your spiritual longings and purposes." Jesus, 156:5.9
World Of Values
The eye of the material mind perceives a world of factual knowledge; the eye of the spiritualized intellect discerns a world of true values. 130:4.10
