The Character Of God
"...when man begins to understand and experience the personality and character of the living God, he is led increasingly to love such a good and perfect, universal and eternal Father." Jesus, 149:6.3
The Master made it clear that the kingdom of heaven must begin with, and be centered in, the dual concept of the truth of the fatherhood of God and the correlated fact of the brotherhood of man. 170:2.1
The Living Vine
I declare that in my Father's eternal kingdom the tree is known by its fruits. Jesus 153:4.4
selfish or altruistic
All men recognize the morality of this universal human urge to be unselfish and altruistic. The humanist ascribes the origin of this urge to the natural working of the material mind; the religionist more correctly recognizes that the truly unselfish drive of mortal mind is in response to the inner spirit leadings of the Thought Adjuster. 103:5.3
Social Service
It therefore is evident that the true and inner religion of the kingdom unfailingly and increasingly tends to manifest itself in practical avenues of social service. Jesus taught a living religion that impelled its believers to engage in the doing of loving service. But Jesus did not put ethics in the place of religion. He taught religion as a cause and ethics as a result. 170:3.8
Modern Culture
Modern culture must become spiritually baptized with a new revelation of Jesus' life and illuminated with a new understanding of his gospel of eternal salvation. And when Jesus becomes thus lifted up, he will draw all men to himself. 195:10.1
The Meaning of Liife
“The meaning of life is its adaptability; the value of life is its progressability—even to the heights of God-consciousness.”-UB 130
Who am I
: "Regardless of who I am and what power I may or may not wield, I always have been, and always will be, subject to the will of my Paradise Father."
128:7.2
God is not only the determiner of destiny; he is man’s eternal destination. All nonreligious human activities seek to bend the universe to the distorting service of self; the truly religious individual seeks to identify the self with the universe and then to dedicate the activities of this unified self to the service of the universe family of fellow beings, human and superhuman. 5:4.3
In accordance with the truth committed to your hands will the Master of truth require a reckoning. 176:3.7
Forewarn all believers regarding the fringe of conflict which must be traversed by all who pass from the life as it is lived in the flesh to the higher life as it is lived in the spirit. To those who live quite wholly within either realm, there is little conflict or confusion, but all are doomed to experience more or less uncertainty during the times of transition between the two levels of living. In entering the kingdom, you cannot escape its responsibilities or avoid its obligations, but remember: The gospel yoke is easy and the burden of truth is light. ~Jesus~ 159:3.7.
Removing Prejudice
Prejudice blinds the soul to the recognition of truth, and prejudice can be removed only by the sincere devotion of the soul to the adoration of a cause that is all-embracing and all-inclusive of one's fellow men. 160:1.13
Proof Of God's Existence
The existence of God can never be proved by scientific experiment or by the pure reason of logical deduction. God can be realized only in the realms of human experience... 1:2.7
The Free Gift Of Salvation
"You see, then, that the Father gives salvation to the children of men, and this salvation is a free gift to all who have the faith to receive sonship in the divine family." Jesus, 167:5.1
Just Beginning Our Ascent
"Mortal man is just beginning his long ascent to the perfection of the Father in Paradise." Jesus, 148:4.6
