Help happy hours ministry with their basic needs and orphange construction

Hello Donors! My name is Mbabazi Kevin and I am a vice director at Happy Hours Ministry Uganda Orphanage.

I am running the fundraiser for Happy Hours Ministry located in Jinja, Uganda. The Ministry was founded on December 31, 2017 and was fully registered on November 25, 2021 by the Jinja City District Office. The ministry was founded by the local pastor Jesse Badagawa, a caring man, with the financial support of his older brother Gideon Badagawa, who was the Executive Director of the Private Sector foundation of Uganda.

After some time both brothers passed away, Jesse had heart issues and more recently Gideon passed due to the coronavirus, leaving the orphanage without a sponsor or funding for the children. Kevin Mbabazi, Gideon's nephew , began working at the orphanage in 2019, after stopping work at Kenfrieght U limited; receiving work from his uncle Gideon at the orphanage. He is now the head of the orphanage and works alongside the wife of the late Jesse Badagawa, whose name is Margret Namutebi and Auma Betty. The orphanage is struggling to maintain a supply of food, and urgently needs funds for a new orphanage to be built.

Orphanage requirements.

The orphanage is now controlled by Auma Betty our orphanage director. The country of Uganda has restrictions because of the coronavirus pandemic, this has lead to a struggle for Kevin and the orphanage to find donations to provide the children with food , water, medicine, and a new shelter. The children will need a new place to call a home.

Luckily, Auma Betty has managed to gain land in Jinja, Uganda, where they hope to build a better home for these children. The orphanage with its humble beginnings began by helping 20 children, and over the 6 years over 145+ children have been helped by the orphanage in some extent, The children are taught homemaking skills, and have learned to make baskets as a small extra source of income for their sake. In better times, the orphanage would also provide children with scholarships to help send them to secondary school, all that has been halted by the loss of their sponsor, Gideon, as well as the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which is restricting people from going to work. The orphanage is a faith based orphanage, which serves with the Christianity faith in mind, doing as the faith teaches to give more than they receive, with their minimal budget and struggling situation, the orphanage has continued to do all they can for the children. Please offer what you can, It would make a world of difference for this young generation of Ugandans, fighting everything to make their day bright. To help them build a new home is a blessing beyond my own imagination. The children are always praying, hoping that someone will help them in their want for a better life. Please, be the hand that gives today. 100% of proceeds will be transferred to an account managed by the orphanage and I will be providing constant updates and upkeep to this page.
