Your Story ~
I enjoy passing on a loving Service of sharing the Spiritual seeds of truth, beauty and goodness, for the growth of those that hope and need a helping hand.
It's a joy for me to share my personal experiences, and I always hope that maybe something I experience in my life and pass on will stimulate some deep thinking in someone who is searching. You never know unless you share your story with others. Maybe no one will be interested but that one person that sees something in your actions or words that starts a thought process that might just help them discover for themselves some deep truth they need for their next step on that long stairway to heaven.
Urantia Book (1930.1) 178:1.4
"...material-minded sons in darkness will never know of your spiritual light of truth unless you draw very near them with that unselfish social service which is the natural outgrowth of the bearing of the fruits of the spirit in the life experience of each individual believer."
Barnabas from western Uganda
The question of why God allows evil to exist in the world is a complex and age-old one. According to the Urantia Book, God is a loving God who has given humans the gift of free will, which means that we have the ability to make choices that can either align with God's will or go against it. This gift of free will is what allows us to learn and grow, but it also means that we can choose to act in ways that are selfish, hurtful, or destructive. For example, in today's world, we see many instances of evil and suffering, such as wars, poverty, and inequality. These problems are often the result of human choices and actions, such as greed, prejudice, and a lack of empathy.
The Urantia Book teaches that God does not stop humans from making choices that lead to evil, but rather allows us to learn from our mistakes and grow from our experiences. This means that God is not a distant or uncaring deity, but rather a loving and merciful one who is always seeking to guide us towards goodness and righteousness. For instance, in the face of natural disasters, such as hurricanes or earthquakes, we often see people coming together to help and support one another. This outpouring of love and kindness is an example of God's spirit at work in the world, and it shows us that even in the midst of evil and suffering, there is always the potential for goodness and redemption. Additionally, the Urantia Book teaches that we can choose to align with God's will by making choices that promote love, kindness, and compassion. For example, we can choose to volunteer our time and resources to help those in need, or to speak out against injustice and inequality.
In today's world, we can see many examples of people choosing to align with God's will and promote goodness and righteousness. For example, there are many organizations and individuals working to address issues such as climate change, poverty, and social injustice. These efforts are often driven by a sense of compassion and empathy, and they demonstrate the power of human choice and action to create positive change in the world. Furthermore, the Urantia Book teaches that we can cultivate inner peace and wisdom by developing a deep connection with God and our own inner selves. This can involve practices such as meditation, prayer, and self-reflection, which can help us to stay grounded and focused on what is truly important, even in the face of challenges and difficulties. By choosing to align with God's will and cultivating inner peace and wisdom, we can create a more loving and compassionate world, and help to bring about a brighter future for all.
The world is filled with hungry souls who famish in the very presence of the bread of life; men die searching for the very God who lives within them. Men seek for the treasures of the kingdom with yearning hearts and weary feet when they are all within the immediate grasp of living faith. 159:3.8
I like to think that in my living the truths of the gospel of Jesus, that I might be the only Urantia Book others will "read" - know.
