Hello brothers and sisters.Thank you very much for standing with us in all ways and we pray for you and your hand of support plus work.
qtn 1.what are the plans and costs of farming ?
Answer- In Uganda farming is one of the income to people of Uganda and it is much valued here in the country ,when we are to have a farming program at the orphanage home we need to buy a fertile land of 3 acres where we can grow food crops ,vegetables, beans which can make the orphanage a sustainable home in food and vegetables .in Uganda we have 2 seasons of growing crops and this is the first season is from January to may and another season is from august to December and this can help us to have food at the orphanage home for a year .Land in Uganda is expensive but not compared to some other countries so we can get 1 acre of land at a costs of $5800 so 3 acres we shall need $17400 and this land can be enough for us to grow our own food so that we stop spending money on food and we can still sell some of the products like corns ,beans and vegetables to get money and we buy other supplies needed at the orphanage home like soap, sugar, salt, tooth brush ,tooth past etc.
when we buy land we can be able to grow our own food and we shall need some money to buy the seeds for growing at the start only because if we have harvest we dont need to buy seeds again we just put some of the seeds in the stores for the next season growing .buying seeds for the first season it can only cost us $ $1200 to but corn seeds ,beans and vegetable seeds and that will only be the costs for buying seeds forever.
No money is needed for the cultivation because we and the children we shall be going to the garden and we cultivate and this can also be part of teaching the children about farming which help them in future like a way of earning and helping others in the community .
Lastely about farming we only need $18600 and we start being self sustaining at the orphanage home in terms of feeding the children and meeting other needs .
