65:2.1 The story of man’s ascent from seaweed to the lordship of earthly creation is indeed a romance of biologic struggle and mind survival. Man’s primordial ancestors were literally the slime and ooze of the ocean bed in the sluggish and warm-water bays and lagoons of the vast shore lines of the ancient inland seas, those very waters in which the Life Carriers established the three independent life implantations on Urantia.

Cycles

Very cold outside today.

Deceiving as the sun does play.

Its slanted rays don’t have much strength.

The day’s not long, it is condensed.

So, daylight isn’t long today.

With shorter days, long nights display.

The world cools when it’s in shadow.

Where life exists, the range is narrow.

We withstand the cold of winter.

We do better in the summer.

But life on earth continues on.

These life cycles make us strong.

We have adapted to this earth.

Many cycles are adverse.

But we have found best ways to live.

We enjoy the lands You give.

A steady course, I see ahead.

We improve the ways we tread.

We’re always finding better ways.

Adapting to suns weakened rays.

Winters come and winters go.

This weather cycle we well know.

Cold will yield to summer heat.

In summer winter finds defeat

Thank You, Father, for Your plan.

Your Will will reign throughout our land.

The cycles of our planets course

Are ruled by You, our Divine source.

PERSONAL SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE ABOUT GOD

All of us would like to have proof of God.

Many of us are taught ABOUT God, but it is only in the realm of the inner life that we can finally find this proof OF God for ourselves and in ourselves through our own personal spiritual experience with God.

Personal spiritual experience is the cornerstone of the religion of Jesus.

When we step out into the faith adventure with God, relying solely on the leading and authority of our inner pilot (the Thought Adjuster ) we gain valuable experience as to the reality and the presence of God.

We also gain valuable experience as to the love of God and the surety of his guidance.

Further, we gain assurance of our sonship with God, and ever more certain of our survival in eternity.

Said Jesus:

"I have called upon you to be born again, to be born of the spirit.

I have called you out of the darkness of authority and the lethargy of tradition into the transcendent light of the realization of the possibility of making for yourselves the greatest discovery possible for the human soul to make—the supernal experience of finding God for yourself, in yourself, and of yourself, and of doing all this as a fact in your own personal experience.

And so may you pass from death to life, from the authority of tradition to the experience of knowing God;

thus will you pass from darkness to light, from a racial faith inherited to a personal faith achieved by actual experience;

and thereby will you progress from a theology of mind handed down by your ancestors to a true religion of spirit which shall be built up in your souls as an eternal endowment.

"Your religion shall change from the mere intellectual belief in traditional authority to the actual experience of that living faith which is able to grasp the reality of God and all that relates to the divine spirit of the Father.

The religion of the mind ties you hopelessly to the past;

the religion of the spirit consists in progressive revelation and ever beckons you on toward higher and holier achievements in spiritual ideals and eternal realities."

SALVATION AND THE MORAL CONSCIOUSNESS

"The saving or losing of a soul has to do with whether or not the moral consciousness attains survival status through eternal alliance with its associated immortal spirit endowment.

Salvation is the spiritualization of the self-realization of the moral consciousness, which thereby becomes possessed of survival value.

All forms of soul conflict consist in the lack of harmony between the moral, or spiritual, self-consciousness and the purely intellectual self-consciousness." ~ Jesus,

104:4.8 This is the triunity of infinite volition; it acts throughout the eternal present and in all of the past-present-future flow of time. This association yields volitional infinity and provides the mechanisms whereby personal Deity becomes self-revelatory to the creatures of the evolving cosmos.

The Flow of Time

Winter beauty rules today.

This day exists for work and play.

We can mold it in some ways.

The Will of God will be displayed.

To help display the Will of God,

Is wisdom working through my bod.

What I say and how I act

Will help this day become a fact.

As we live each tiny instant,

The past becomes, it is existent.

The flow of time envelops all.

Our ride through time, it never stalls.

We make pathways through times flow.

They’re marked by actions, how we go.

We can’t change what has been done.

Time can never be rerun.

But we can become wise through time.

God’s Will becomes, as It’s Divine.

God’s Will always will come through.

Make it the goal in what you do.

That’s the path all wisdom takes.

To do God’s Will is how we’ll make

The best use of the flow of time.

That’s part of God’s Grand Design.

Thank You, Father, to follow You

Is adventure that comes true.

You try to help us all become

More like You, where time comes from.

THE FAITH OF JESUS POINTED THE WAY OF FINALITY OF HUMAN SALVATION

The teachings of Jesus constituted the first Urantian religion which so fully embraced a harmonious co-ordination of knowledge, wisdom,
faith,
truth,
and love
as completely and simultaneously to provide temporal tranquillity, intellectual certainty,
moral enlightenment, philosophic stability,
ethical sensitivity, God-consciousness,
and the positive assurance of personal survival.

The faith of Jesus pointed the way to finality of human salvation, to the ultimate of mortal universe attainment, since it provided for:

1. Salvation from material fetters in the personal realization of sonship with God, who is spirit.

2. Salvation from intellectual bondage: man shall know the truth, and the truth shall set him free.

3. Salvation from spiritual blindness, the human realization of the fraternity of mortal beings and the morontian awareness of the brotherhood of all universe creatures; the service-discovery of spiritual reality and the ministry-revelation of the goodness of spirit values.

4. Salvation from incompleteness of self through the attainment of the spirit levels of the universe and through the eventual realization of the harmony of Havona and the perfection of Paradise.

5. Salvation from self, deliverance from the limitations of self-consciousness through the attainment of the cosmic levels of the Supreme mind and by co-ordination with the attainments of all other self-conscious beings.

6. Salvation from time, the achievement of an eternal life of unending progression in God-recognition and God-service.

7. Salvation from the finite, the perfected oneness with Deity in and through the Supreme by which the creature attempts the transcendental discovery of the Ultimate on the postfinaliter levels of the absonite.

Such a sevenfold salvation is the equivalent of the completeness and perfection of the realization of the ultimate experience of the Universal Father.

And all this, in potential, is contained within the reality of the faith of the human experience of religion.

And it can be so contained since the faith of Jesus was nourished by, and was revelatory of, even realities beyond the ultimate;

the faith of Jesus approached the status of a universe absolute in so far as such is possible of manifestation in the evolving cosmos of time and space.

Through the appropriation of the faith of Jesus, mortal man can foretaste in time the realities of eternity.

Jesus made the discovery, in human experience, of the Final Father, and his brothers in the flesh of mortal life can follow him along this same experience of Father discovery.

They can even attain, as they are, the same satisfaction in this experience with the Father as did Jesus as he was.

THE RELIGION OF JESUS

In the Master’s life on Urantia, this and all other worlds of the local creation discover a new and higher type of religion,

religion based on personal spiritual relations with the Universal Father and wholly validated by the supreme authority of genuine personal experience.

This living faith of Jesus was more than an intellectual reflection, and it was not a mystic meditation.

The religion of Jesus is the most dynamic influence ever to activate the human race.

Jesus shattered tradition, destroyed dogma,
and called mankind to the achievement of its highest ideals in time and eternity—to be perfect, even as the Father in heaven is perfect. ~ TUB, (99:5.3)

Said Jesus:

"We ... begin the bold proclamation of a new religion—a religion which is not a religion in the present-day meaning of that word,

a religion that makes its chief appeal to the divine spirit of my Father which resides in the mind of man;

a religion which shall derive its authority from the fruits of its acceptance that will so certainly appear in the personal experience of all who really and truly become believers in the truths of this higher spiritual communion."

The religion of Jesus does not seek to escape this life in order to enjoy the waiting bliss of another existence.

The religion of Jesus provides the joy and peace of another and spiritual existence to enhance and ennoble the life which men now live in the flesh.

In religion, Jesus advocated and followed the method of experience, even as modern science pursues the technique of experiment.

We find God through the leadings of spiritual insight,

but we approach this insight of the soul through the love of the beautiful, the pursuit of truth, loyalty to duty, and the worship of divine goodness.

But of all these values, love is the true guide to real insight.

The three apostles were shocked this afternoon when they realized that their Master’s religion made no provision for spiritual self-examination.

All religions before and after the times of Jesus, even Christianity, carefully provide for conscientious self-examination.

But not so with the religion of Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus’ philosophy of life is without religious introspection.

The carpenter’s son never taught character building;

he taught character growth, declaring that the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed.

But Jesus said nothing which would prescribe self-analysis as a prevention of conceited egotism.

This new religion of Jesus was not without its practical implications, but whatever of practical political, social, or economic value there is to be found in his teaching is the natural outworking of this inner experience of the soul as it manifests the fruits of the spirit in the spontaneous daily ministry of genuine personal religious experience.

101:0.3 Religion, the conviction-faith of the personality, can always triumph over the superficially contradictory logic of despair born in the unbelieving material mind. There really is a true and genuine inner voice, that “true lightwhich lights every man who comes into the world.” And this spirit leading is distinct from the ethical prompting of human conscience. The feeling of religious assurance is more than an emotional feeling. The assurance of religion transcends the reason of the mind, even the logic of philosophy. Religion is faith, trust, and assurance.

Inner Light

Beauty tinged, as this day starts.

When it ends, I’ve done my part.

The goal of life for this fine day

Is found within, where my mind plays.

Every day in life that’s lived

Be together with One Who gives.

He’s within you, Loves you too.

He abides with you in all you do.

He’s truly there, with Faith you’ll see.

You have the wings of destiny.

Let your higher nature thrive.

Help the world out as you ride.

Take the time to think it through.

Consequences are what you do.

Ripples in time, as you swim.

Swim towards the light, don’t become dim.

Be all you can, imagine more.

The way ahead is through that door

The needle’s eye you must go through.

The eye becomes a part of you.

The needle’s eye, the eye of God

Is deep within you as you jog

Through this life, He’s there with you

And He’s aware of all you do.

ThankYou, Father, the way ahead

While I’m on earth, and not yet dead,

Will be more intimate as I Trust

And let my Faith be more robust.

2:2.7 Human limitations, potential evil, are not a part of the divine nature, but mortal experience with evil and all man’s relations thereto are most certainly a part of God’s ever-expanding self-realization in the children of time – creatures of moral responsibility who have been created or evolved by every Creator Son going out from Paradise.

Time With God

A little warmer, the day is young.

Hopes for this day are far, far flung.

We want the best for everyone!

The love of God can’t be undone!

God is love, when He finds you,

His love encompasses all you do.

You find His way of doing things.

Your soul inside begins to sing.

You’re uplifted by God’s wings.

He knows about you – everything.

He wants you to improve your lot.

He’ll help you choose what’s to be sought.

Take direction from what’s inside.

What you find you cannot hide.

Let it be what you decide.

Then you’re in for quite the ride!

God will teach in little steps.

His will for you you can inspect.

He wants from you all you can give.

He’ll teach you better ways to live.

Live your life as best you can.

Don’t be halfhearted in the band.

Sing the highest notes in mind.

And always love the things you find.

You catch the feeling, as you try.

It’s there you know,, you can’t deny.

New knowledge always leads to change.

You must deport yourself, be tame.

Thank you, Father, Faith inside.

I know You’re there as I decide.

You know the parts where I have died.

You know desires I can’t hide!

3:1.5 Truly of the human race has it been said, “You are of God” because “he who dwells in love dwells in God, and God in him.” Even in wrongdoing you torment the indwelling gift of God, for the Thought Adjuster must needs go through the consequences of evil thinking with the human mind of its incarceration.

The Human Race

Too cold to venture far today.

There’re other things to do that sway

Me, from the routine I’ve established.

Other things I need to practice.

May flexibility always be

What I expect psychologically.

Never expect anything that’s less

Than love you give out to your guests.

But, if in fact, this thing be so

Find a way to take in tow

All that matters in this life.

Love is what will bring delight.

Find a way towards truth and light.

The way forward brings delight.

Confidence one should display

Only clouds make the sky gray.

To see-through clouds needs special light.

X-rays can give us that sight.

Special machines then help us see.

The clouds can’t block obstructurally.

Our minds can also see through clouds.

It takes some time, and we’re time bound.

But with some patience that’s sincere

We’ll see through clouds brought on by fear.

Thank You, Father, for my Faith.

I know how Love reveals Your Grace.

Love for others – the Human Race.

Increases with Your Love embrace.
