Sharing the Urantia Book with the World Family on Urantia
Yesterday, Urantia Sharing received a request for 200 Urantia Books from South Africa. While we are committed to providing books, we kindly requested more clarifying information. We believe that individuals seeking Urantia Books from us should, at the very least, become members of Urantia Sharing on SFN. This approach would help minimize potential abuse. What are your thoughts?
I agree Soren, Ask them for a list of active students willing to enter into the brotherhood of God-knowing believers and also ask them to provide photo's and short videos of fellowship activities, The work of God can be done in every human occupation. It must also provide service ministry. The revelation must become a living revelation which demonstrates increasing spiritual fruit bearing among those who have accepted by faith sonship with God and have engaged in a true and loving service to the growing spiritual family.of Urantia. I am going to copy this thread to the Group Discussions on Urantia Sharing so it creates a thread to gather the thoughts and ideas of our brothers and sisters from around the world. If they take the time to create post of the activities this good news also inspires revelation readers around the world to support their endeavors to live the Gospel of Jesus within their growing revelation inspired communities.
178:1.5 As mortal and material men, you are indeed citizens of the earthly kingdoms, and you should be good citizens, all the better for having become reborn spirit sons of the heavenly kingdom. As faith-enlightened and spirit-liberated sons of the kingdom of heaven, you face a double responsibility of duty to man and duty to God while you voluntarily assume a third and sacred obligation: service to the brotherhood of God-knowing believers.
Dear Pastor Soren.
I gree with you on this statement. Ask them how long have they been in the brotherhood, ask them some of readings from Part1, part 2, Part 3, Part 4. How did they come to know the Urantia book?. Why are they interested in the brotherhood? Whom do they know the revelation ambassador's for the kingdom of God? I hope this could bring a clear perspective and be able to release to them those books.
Otherwise, I must appreciate you brother for this thought up !. Keep up
Blessings,
Gumisiriza Julius
One long time Urantia sister wrote this to me today:
"In the U.S. if donations are made to a 501C3 qualified nonprofit organization, we are able to write the donation off our taxes. That, effectively, gives us, on average, about 10% to 20% back on whatever we donate. It allows us to donate more. The Urantia book Fellowship is a 501C3 organization. Why don't you see if you are able to work something out with Geoff Theiss at the Fellowship where individuals could donate specifically for Urantia books to be sent to those Africans whom you approve should receive them. The Fellowship does have a free book program, although there is a long form in English you have to fill out to get a free book. However, anyone who wants to read the urantia book should have good enough English to fill out the form, in my opinion."
In my opinion seems that the Pipeline of Light now exclusively dispatches Urantia Books to individuals upon request, rather than distributing them through Urantia Sharing. However, consolidating shipments to a single trusted recipient would be a more cost-effective approach. For instance, sending just one Urantia Book to Uganda could incur expenses close to $100.
I completely understand the request for clarification. It's essential to ensure that the Urantia Books reach those who genuinely seek spiritual growth and understanding. By requesting individuals to join Urantia Sharing on SFN, you're creating a safe and supportive community where members can engage with the teachings and connect with like-minded individuals. This approach also helps prevent potential misuse and maintains the integrity of the Urantia Book's message. I support your thoughtful approach to sharing these valuable resources.
Warm regards
