Hi Julius,

Such an important question to put before our brothers and sisters here on Urantia. 

Our revelation tells us much about the loving watch the hosts of heaven maintain over the Fathers youngest children living upon the whirling worlds of space. And that our prayers should seek to ascertain knowledge of these unseen helpers that we may be more attentive to their work of keeping us safe and out of much trouble that often besets that group of humanity that does not know God.

Even so sometimes the accidents of time can befall the Father’s children as happened with Jesus and his tumble down the steps.  Jesus’ attitude and wholehearted belief that the entire Universe was friendly to him came from his reflections and observations of not only things visible but also the unseen hosts of Heaven and Planetary Administrators watching over all worlds of the Father of Love.

In reflecting upon this accident, we should also be aware that Jesus lived a life identical to the lives we are now living. The fact that he sojourned safely throughout his life reveals much about the seraphim assigned to watch over us. He revealed this awareness to his apostles when he said. . . .

^167:7.4 "And do you not remember that I said to you once before that, if you had your spiritual eyes anointed, you would then see the heavens opened and behold the angels of God ascending and descending?

  ^146:2.14 13. Jesus taught that the prayer for divine guidance over the pathway of earthly life was next in importance to the petition for a knowledge of the Father's will. In reality this means a prayer for divine wisdom.

This prayer should also seek the attitude of being ever mindful of those unseen messengers sent to watch over us.

Revelation disclosures mention that after this accident of time both the guarding angel (Seraphim) and the secondary planetary midwayer were investigated to see if there was any dereliction of duty, and the inquiry found the accident was unpreventable.

The reason why Jesus was assigned a secondary planetary midwayer was due to his new revelation of the Supreme Being and his mission as the Deliverer of this world. He assigned one of these beautiful human cousins to each of his 12 Apostles. It was in fact the midwayer assigned to Judas who was re assigned to this runner in the eventful days leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection.

^182:2.5 " And when Jacob had rehearsed this message to the Master's satisfaction, Jesus sent him on his way, saying: "Fear not what any man may do to you, Jacob, for this night an unseen messenger will run by your side."

Concerning the secondary midwayers work on this world.

  ^77:8.13 Their chief work today is that of unperceived personal-liaison associates of those men and women who constitute the planetary reserve corps of destiny.

  ^175:1.8 " And now I call to witness these, my disciples and believers in the gospel of the kingdom, as well as the unseen messengers by their sides,"

It is primarily the work of our Seraphim that guides us through our days here on Urantia. Often, they have encouraged us to avoid dangerous situations that may cause injury or death, as well counsel that can help us avoid much trouble in unnecessary conflict. Tact is the fulcrum of social leverage and tolerance is the earmark of a great soul and these majestic Seraphim well know this grace in their service to us. 

For myself they often kept me awake while driving long distances even when there were long hours of driving in severe winter storms. They often forewarned of danger when confidence exceeded skill in performing a dangerous task. They encourage friendships with courageous fellows, so fear does not become a cause for accidents caused by an unreasoned fear reaction to a situation. They will also forewarn if an action we are contemplating may cause injury to ourselves or one of our fellows.

But their most important work is to facilitate conditions that can enhance the work of the indwelling Divine Mystery Monitors. Working in each phase of progress, thought changer, thought adjuster, and thought controller as we gain wisdom experience. They are the cheerleaders of the ideal life and model career.

Careful attention, and appreciation of their services can safely guide you through even a troubled world such as Urantia as demonstrated in Jesus life here with us. We would all do well to seek their counsel each and every day and develop a real and powerful friendship with our angel who truly does watch over us on our journey. Their love and affection for us grows as they serve in this work and they are truly affectionate, full of grace and divine mirth. 

And when we awaken on the next world we will see them face to face in a profound and personal relationship as we together undertake the responsibilities of the ascent to the Father.
