Tuning In The Soul
As prayer may be likened to recharging the spiritual batteries of the soul, so worship may be compared to the act of tuning in the soul to catch the universe broadcasts of the infinite spirit of the Universal Father. 144:4.8
Spiritual Destiny
"Spiritual destiny is dependent on faith, love, and devotion to truth — hunger and thirst for righteousness — the wholehearted desire to find God and to be like him." 156:5.7
The Spiritual World
In the physical universe we may see the divine beauty, in the intellectual world we may discern eternal truth, but the goodness of God is found only in the spiritual world of personal religious experience. 2:6.1
Spiritual Exercise
Jesus often took his apostles away by themselves for short periods to engage in meditation and prayer, but for the most part he kept them in service-contact with the multitudes. The soul of man requires spiritual exercise as well as spiritual nourishment. 91:7.2
Growth And Conflict
Religious perplexities are inevitable; there can be no growth without psychic conflict and spiritual agitation. 100:4.2
Yielding To Spirit
If you yield to the leadings of the spiritual forces in you and around you, you cannot fail to attain the high destiny established by a loving God..., 5:1.12
