2-8. Is Michael alive or still present on the earth?

According to The Urantia Book (the 5th Epochal Revelation), Christ Michael (the Creator Son of Nebadon, who incarnated as Jesus of Nazareth) is not physically alive or personally present on Earth (Urantia) in the same way he was during his bestowal incarnation.

His seventh and final bestowal (as Jesus) was a temporary, mortal incarnation that ended with his death, resurrection, and ascension back to his headquarters on Salvington (the capital sphere of the local universe of Nebadon). After completing this bestowal successfully around A.D. 30, he returned to Salvington, where he was proclaimed the fully sovereign Master Son and ruler of Nebadon. However his Spirit of Truth just like Jesus minus the garment of flesh was poured out upon all flesh on the day of Pentecost. He is and evermore will be present in the heart mind and soul of every citizen on the whirling worlds of space within his domain of Nebadon who gladly receive him. For this reason he declared "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man goes to the Father except through me. All who find the Father, first find me.

Key points from the revelation:

• Post-bestowal status — After his return from Urantia, Michael was recognized by the Ancients of Days and the Universal Father as the settled, supreme sovereign of Nebadon. He reigns from Salvington, with full jurisdiction over "all power in heaven and on earth" in his local universe (Paper 33:2.3; Paper 119:8.1).
• Current location and activities — His official headquarters is on Salvington, but he frequently visits constellation and system headquarters, individual planets across Nebadon, Paradise, and Uversa (superuniverse capital). When absent from Salvington, Gabriel acts as regent (Paper 33:2.5). He is not described as being physically or incarnationally present on Urantia continuously.
• Urantia's special status — Urantia remains significant as the "sentimental shrine" of Nebadon, the "mortal home of Christ Michael," and the world of his terminal bestowal. He is also designated as Planetary Prince of Urantia (Paper 119:8.8), but this is a titular/sovereign role, not implying ongoing physical presence. Vicegerent (acting) authority for planetary administration has been delegated to Machiventa Melchizedek in recent times (Paper 93 and related sections).
• Promise of return — The book affirms Jesus' promise to "come again" to Urantia (the "World of the Cross"), as recorded in the Gospels and echoed in the revelation (e.g., Paper 119:8.8; Paper 176). However, no timeline or details are given for this future return—it remains a prospect for the future, and the exact manner is unknown even to higher beings. When asked about his return Jesus answered "But you should be wise regarding the ripening of an age; you should be alert to discern the signs of the times. You know when the fig tree shows its tender branches and puts forth its leaves that summer is near. Likewise, when the world has passed through the long winter of material-mindedness and you discern the coming of the spiritual springtime of a new dispensation, should you know that the summertime of a new visitation draws near."

In summary, Christ Michael is eternally alive and actively ruling as the sovereign of Nebadon from his headquarters on Salvington (and through visits across his universe). He is not currently incarnate, physically present, or "alive" on Earth in a mortal or visible form—he completed that phase of his career nearly 2,000 years ago. Urantia holds unique sentimental and administrative importance because of his bestowal here, but his ongoing presence is spiritual/sovereign rather than personal/physical.
