Question: Do you believe in Jesus? Why?
A ●My personal answer to the first part of your Question is an emphatic YES I believe in Jesus!
A● Why?
The Origin of my living faith.
Looking from the outside one might view a religious tradition as an inheritance from the family into which you were born, in my case the Roman Catholic Church. However from the actual experience one can use these religion’s of the mind, the races, and the traditions of mankind as a ramp up to the experience of true religion the religion of the spirit as taught and lived by Jesus. Many believe that Jesus is the founder of the Christian religion. He is not. His religion is founded upon a personal relationship and friendship with God. He himself spent an entire lifetime trying to thaw out these frozen forms of religion into the liquid liberties of enlightened sonship, friendship with God. His religion was unlike any other man had known, based entirely upon his own personal religious experience all the way up to an unbroken communion with God. In human experience this Fatherhood of God has its beginnings in the human family.
The qualifying experience within the human family that always lead to the pursuit of God is the bestowal of Love; and most particularly the magnificent and beneficent, love and affection a parent bestows upon a child. Woman, has always been the moral standard-bearer and the spiritual leader of mankind. The hand that rocks the cradle still fraternizes with destiny. And it was the living faith of my mother that first led me to believe in an all seeing God whom she identified as Christ.
My father on the other hand was a true religionist. Being also raised as a Catholic his religion transcended the need for a church. His religion was a bestowal of love and service upon a family of nine children. To sit on the doorstep in his presence was an experience of fully feeling not only a human father’s love and affection for a child but also directly experiencing the Divine Love of the Father of Lights in whom his devotions to his family was representative of.
This family experience was the origin of my belief in the all seeing God.
As a young man out upon the high seas of unexplored truth my journey earnestly began in 1971. By 1973 I had passed through the fringe of conflict between life as it is lived in the flesh to life as it is lived in the Spirit. I became converted devoting the rest of my life to the pursuit of the God who had found me in time and promised me the adventure of the eternal quest to become more and more like him.
Mankind can never discover divinity except through the avenue of religious experience and by the exercise of true faith. The faith acceptance of the truth of God enables man to escape from the circumscribed confines of material limitations and affords him a rational hope of achieving safe conduct from the material realm, whereon is death, to the spiritual realm, wherein is life eternal.
Gavin it should be understood by any sincere seeker after truth that the proclamation of the Master “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man goes to the Father except through me” as a universally known truth. In reality a relationship.
And this truth I can personally verify through my own personal religious experiences with the same Jesus of Nazareth.
“My little children, I am going away, going back to my Father. In a little while you will not see me as you do here, as flesh and blood. In a very short time I am going to send you my spirit, just like me except for this material body. This new teacher is the Spirit of Truth who will live with each one of you, in your hearts, and so will all the children of light be made one and be drawn toward one another. And in this very manner will my Father and I be able to live in the souls of each one of you and also in the hearts of all other men who love us and make that love real in their experiences by loving one another, even as I am now loving you.”
And this truth will never suffer from an honest examination by any sincere believer. Our whole battle on this world is against doubt, unbelief. It should also be kept in mind that because true religion is a personal religious experience of the individual occurring in the minds gateway to the human soul it can never be known except through experience.
If you would find the Spirit of Truth you would do well to meditate upon this truth.
“It is to the mind of perfect poise, housed in a body of clean habits, stabilized neural energies, and balanced chemical function — when the physical, mental, and spiritual powers are in triune harmony of development — that a maximum of light and truth can be imparted with a minimum of temporal danger or risk to the real welfare of such a being. By such a balanced growth does man ascend the circles of planetary progression one by one, from the seventh to the first.”
