It was not how he died but how he lived that saved mankind. It is not strange that you ask this question. Every moral, fair-minded, kind, just and thinking member of the human family would do well to ask this same question and then be determined to find a truthful answer. The truth never suffers from honest examination and never forces one to violate their own sense of truth, righteousness and goodness.

Q● I've never understood how God sacrificing his own son somehow makes up for Eve eating an apple. Can someone explain this to me?
Even though I don't believe any of that stuff I'm still curious.

Never believe for one moment that the Father of Love requires a human sacrifice to solicit his divine affection for his earth children. The Infinite Father of Love is never wrathful in his great displeasure at his erring children. These teachings should have been purged from the records of all so called holy books soon after Jesus left this world. The idea of offering a human sacrifice is as old as the origins of the first religious urges of ancient man. These primitive, barbaric teachings and practices are unworthy of being presented in many of today’s scriptures as the word of God. It is a disgrace that modern man is willing to sacrifice his own common sense regarding justice, fairness and kindness in allowing ecclesiastical authority to promote such a fallacy without being challenged by those willing to stand in vigorous defense of the truths enshrined in their own mortal hearts. Dangerous timidly is the only reason this challenge has not been met and these teachings removed from scriptures.
You should review what Jesus himself declared about the scriptures before proceeding with the review of these other writings.
