PROGRAMME FOR THE UK AND NORTHERN IRELAND URANTIA ASSOCIATION ANNUAL RETREAT 2018
FRIDAY 7TH TO SUNDAY 9TH SEPTEMBER
We would like to invite you to our Annual Retreat at Charney Manor. The theme is Spiritualized Living. This extends the inner life theme, giving us an opportunity to consider what spiritualized living means in practice on a daily basis. What are the practical outcomes of spiritualized living? It is very difficult to condense spiritualized living into a concise definition, as it probably means different things to different people. At a basic level could it be striving to find and do the will of God through loving service to one’s fellows, thereby making the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man an everyday reality. The Retreat could be a stepping stone to greater exploration of these questions, and other meanings and values through the Urantia Book and people’s personal experience.
Spiritual growth is mutually stimulated by intimate association with other religionists.
Participating in the annual retreat is a real opportunity to do something in memory of our Creator Son. We are in a unique position of having access to an extraordinary and exciting revelation with the potential to change our lives and the direction of the planet. Let’s seize this opportunity to share and support each other’s growth and make a small contribution to a better planet.
We are re-branding the Summer Meeting as the Annual Retreat to better reflect its aims - retreat, reflect and refresh.
