I was born in lbanda on 9, September, 1999 to Kururaije Ericaldo and Mary Kimanywenda as the 6th born family that eventually included 7 living children (2 girls & 5 boys)
My father is a peasant he grow crops on small scale but he wasted his earning through drinking alcohol and living a promiscuous lifestyle. Our family suffered greatly through poverty. As a child in Kiburara l would have rice , meat ,sugar and soda for drink, only on Christmas and Easter some years. Often there was no money to purchase rice, sugar and meat or soda even on these two holidays.
At one time in my childhood, my only clothing was a sweater that would cover me from neck to foot, serving as both pair of shorts and a shirt. This confused the village children and some referred to me as a girl I began school at the age of six accompanying my 13 yrs old brother Good luck also a beginning student at Kiburara primary school. Each day both of the children would walk going to and from school. When I and my brother reached in grad primary seven our mother became frequently ill.
At the same time our father was working far from home being away for as long one year at a time. Unknown to the family, our father had fallen in love with another woman which was another reason our father was seldom at home and provided little financial support for the family.
These condition required Good Luck to drop out of school to take care of our mother, saving tuition money that could be spent on my education our family lived in miserable conditions. Our family had no bedding but slept on papyrus mats in place of sheets and blankets. Condition became so bad that our house collapsed, leaving the family without shelter. My brother's and sister's kindly request you to help me with school fees such that l can complete my education. May the Lord God bless you as you donate
