Twongirwe Ali Necessities of Life Campaign
A young fellow in Uganda wants me to start a funding campaign for him in Spiritual Family.
Here is his story
T Ali Story 5-13-2023
At the beginning we were staying in small trading centre. Somehow life was perfect but our father passed on. He had debts so the house was taken by the loan sharks. Everything like education, food and other basic needs were provided to us before. Then we moved to a small village deep in the villages of Uganda into a small house; we were new to the village. Later, my mom had some health issues where all our funds were put into her treatment . Around 8 months later, our mother passed on, leaving me to take care of my siblings all by myself. They are a younger sister Kemigisha Anitahand and a younger brother Mugisha Joshua. Some of you might say, why I don't work for the family?
In our country, due to its economic conditions almost 95% are poor. I work in gardens in villages doing work such as digging, harvesting and planting in other people's garden for food and money sometimes just for the day. Earned money, if it happens, is around $1.5 to $1.7 for me and my siblings to buy food for the day. And remember the work I do is not permanent but temporary so if I don't work for the day or no jobs to do since they are seasonal that means we have to sleep with empty stomachs if no one with mercy comes to us for help. Remember we are new to the village so we rarely receive help. I am only 18, soon to 19; so things are so difficult on my side.
I had started working in the next trading centre so as to earn more money so that I can take care of fellow siblings. This was on a construction site . But one day I had an injury hence leaving me pain and a broken arm. So I might not work on hard work again. But all jobs I do are only hard work. So even my healing might take some time before I recover.
I sometime hope to do a piggery project so as I can earn enough funds to look after my fellow siblings in terms of food, education, basic needs and medication since my little sister has asthma issues.
I’m interested in the Urantia Book and I am a member of the Youth Urantia Scholars in Ibanda
