Dear Friend,
Warm greetings from Uganda.
We are reaching out to share an initiative that is close to our hearts and to invite you to be part of something we hope will strengthen fellowship and spiritual community both in Uganda and beyond.
On Saturday, 3rd October 2026, we are planning a Conference Gathering in Fort Portal, Uganda, bringing together friends and members of the wider spiritual community for a day of fellowship, spiritual sharing, learning, reflection, and building stronger relationships.
Date: Saturday, 3rd October 2026
Venue: Fort-Arch Echo Lodges, Fort Portal, Uganda
The gathering was initially scheduled for 22nd August 2026, but because of financial limitations and the need to give ourselves more time to prepare and encourage wider participation, we postponed it to the new date.
Why we are reaching out
We believe that gatherings like this can play an important role in bringing people together, especially where members of a spiritual community are separated by distance and limited resources.
For some of the participants, attending such a gathering is not simply a matter of booking a trip or paying a registration fee. There are significant financial challenges involved in travel, accommodation, meals, venue arrangements, communication, and other practical needs.
We would therefore like to invite friends around the world who feel connected to this initiative to stand with us through encouragement, ideas, prayer, participation, or financial support.
A contribution of any size can make a meaningful difference. What may seem like a small contribution from one person can, when combined with the generosity of several friends, help us create an opportunity for people who otherwise might not be able to participate.
Participate from anywhere in the world
We also recognize that many of our friends will not be able to travel to Uganda. For this reason, we plan to provide online streaming of the conference, so that people from different countries can join us virtually and share in the experience.
This will give the gathering a wider international dimension and allow those who cannot be physically present in Fort Portal to still connect with the participants and follow the program.
Ways you can support
If you feel moved to support the gathering, there are several ways you can do so:
-
Through Paul Kemp: We can provide his PayPal details to anyone who would like to send financial support.(
-
Through our campaign on the Spiritual Family Network website: This provides another way for friends to contribute toward the initiative.( https://spiritualfamily.net/campaigns/view/96062/about/appeal-for-support-%E2%80%93-2026-urantia-gathering-fort-portal-uganda )
-
Through Geoff Taylor: We can also connect with Geoff, who may have ideas or suggestions about ways the gathering could be supported.
-
Through the wider Urantia spiritual brotherhood community: We welcome opportunities to share this initiative with friends and communities who may wish to participate or assist.
We are not asking anyone to give beyond their means. Rather, we are simply opening the door for those who feel inspired to help in whatever way they can.
Your support could help us not only with the immediate practical needs of this gathering, but also with creating a stronger foundation for future opportunities for fellowship and spiritual cooperation in Uganda and across the wider community.
Most importantly, we would love for you to be part of this journey with us—whether by joining us physically in Fort Portal, participating through the online stream, sharing the invitation with others, offering ideas, praying for the gathering, or providing financial assistance.
We believe that spiritual community becomes stronger when we reach across borders and support one another. We hope this gathering can be one small but meaningful step in that direction.
Thank you for taking the time to hear about what we are planning. We deeply appreciate your friendship, encouragement, and consideration.
With warm greetings and appreciation,
Onesmas
