157:2.1 Said the leader of the disturbers: “Teacher, we would like you to give us a sign of your authority to teach, and then, when the same shall come to pass, all men will know that you have been sent by God.” And Jesus answered them: “When it is evening, you say it will be fair weather, for the heaven is red; in the morning it will be foul weather, for the heaven is red and lowering. When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say showers will come; when the wind blows from the south, you say scorching heat will come. How is it that you so well know how to discern the face of the heavens but are so utterly unable to discern the signs of the times? To those who would know the truth, already has a sign been given; but to an evil-minded and hypocritical generation no sign shall be given.”

Weather
The rain will shower down today.
It’s cold outside, inside I’ll stay.
But perhaps I’ll need to go
And then be thankful there’s no snow.

Really, really, really warm.
For January – a rain storm?
Some places will get too much rain.
The ways of climate change are strange.

We will survive, but there will be.
Changes that will not be free.
Always there will be a cost.
It’s a way of life that’s lost.

Where you live, yes, your location.
Seems to be an indication
Of the things that you need to do
To survive this change that’s new.

We’re not used to this disruption.
We assume the weather functioned
In well-worn ways within some limits.
Now we’re learning minute to minute.

So be prepared should be our motto.
Changing weather’s our tomorrow.
Perhaps we change the way we build
And stay away where we’ve been killed.

Thank You Father, we must choose
How to survive so we can fuse.
We can find Your better way.
Then life improves on earth today!

195:3.9 Even a good religion could not save a great empire from the sure results of lack ofindividual participation in the affairs ofgovernment, from overmuch paternalism, overtaxation and gross collection abuses, unbalanced trade with the Levant which drained away the gold, amusement madness, Roman standardization, the degradation ofwoman, slavery and race decadence, physical plagues, and a state church which became institutionalized nearly to the point of spiritual barrenness.

State of Affairs
A partly sunny winter day.
It’s Sunday, so there’ll be some play.
Worship takes the center stage.
We are at peace, but wars still rage.

The biggest bully seems to win,
Until law and order do begin.
We must invoke new laws with order
Unto this world and all its warriors.

Justice on a global scale
Must be expected through travail.
We must support those who’ve been wronged.
Invasion’s never right, it’s wrong!

We must have peace to interact.
Is trust between us still intact?
World conquest cannot be!
Except with love, which makes us free!

Anticipate the best outcome.
And pray to One, where love comes from.
God will show us what’s to be.
And love will take us there for free.

Demonstrate what faith you have.
Let good in you outweigh the bad.
Decisions in this world you make
Potentially can make us great!

Thank You Father, You have my trust.
This life on earth is most robust.
Yes, we do not yet have peace.
But love on earth, is being increased!
