What is morontia mota?
The Urantia Book describes mota as a supermaterial reality sensitivity—a higher mode of perception associated with the morontia life, where the apparent divisions between matter and spirit, reason and faith, fact and value begin to find a greater coordination.
This film explores Paper 103:6 and Paper 48:7: the limits of mortal philosophy, the role of revelation, survival after death, the Mansion World schools, and the twenty-eight famous philosophical illustrations used to introduce beginners to mota. Importantly, those twenty-eight sayings are not mota itself. They are human analogies pointing toward meanings that the book says belong to a level of experience beyond material life.

196:3.31 The great challenge to modern man is to achieve better communication with the divine Monitor that dwells within the human mind. Man's greatest adventure in the flesh consists in the well-balanced and sane effort to advance the borders of self-consciousness out through the dim realms of embryonic soul-consciousness in a wholehearted effort to reach the borderland of spirit-consciousness -- contact with the divine presence. Such an experience constitutes God-consciousness, an experience mightily confirmative of the pre-existent truth of the religious experience of knowing God. Such spirit-consciousness is the equivalent of the knowledge of the actuality of sonship with God. Otherwise, the assurance of sonship is the experience of faith.

101:2.8 Faith reveals God in the soul. Revelation, the substitute for morontia insight on an evolutionary world, enables man to see the same God in nature that faith exhibits in his soul. Thus does revelation successfully bridge the gulf between the material and the spiritual, even between the creature and the Creator, between man and God.
