Poetry in Motion Urantia Artist Paul Anderson | Powers
66:6.2 When Christian missionaries go into the heart of Africa, where sons and daughters are supposed to remain under the control and direction of their parents throughout the lifetime of the parents, they only bring about confusion and the breakdown of all authority when they seek, in a single generation, to supplant this practice by teaching that these children should be free from all parental restraint after they have attained the age of twenty-one.
Powers
Wonder springs before my eyes.
This day is young, there’ll be surprise.
Good will spread on this fine day
As I decide to be that way!
Decisions that are made inside
Mistakes are there, one cannot hide.
Attitude’s the prime directive!
Our main decision is elective.
But advertising lies and cheats
To gain some power, truly stinks!
If your lead to go astray
Relentless courage you must display!
Acceptance of whom you have been.
Acceptance of a change within.
Direction of where one can go
Love’s the answer, blow by blow.
A change in what one thinks about
Can cause confusion, thoughts reroute.
New perspectives change what we
Truly, truly did believe.
Advancing in our social mores.
History shows our many forays.
Fighting, fighting, always wars
Are remembered, pretty poor!
Democratic states remembered.
Greece was there, but’s been dismembered.
Democracy’s under attack!
The powers that be want their powers back!
This world’s leaders do not want.
Democracy’s too eloquent.
Their vision has been warped by power.
Everyone of them’s gone sour.
A longer poem, yes today
But there was really much to say.
I hope and hope, but also pray
The world’s direction goes up today!
Thank You, Father, help me be
A force for Love within with Ye!
A focus for Your eloquence
And help me be intelligent.
