Kagende Juliet's Biography
Kagende Juliet, was born on 19th June 2010 and her misfortunes started when they lost their father the late Kalebi Ben who was the sole provider of the family. The sudden death left the family shattered leaving the Lucy (widow) with 2 children to look after.
With no help from the immediate relatives, the unemployed widow was living with the grandmother to the children who also had no support to help them since they were also suffering with nothing to eat and living in a very small mud house. We were told the father to the children died from unknown disease that came abruptly. MCDCC were able to adopt Juliet leaving the mother with the youngest because of the tender age and fragility. They all lived in a small house with limited sleeping resources and shared a single mattress and blanket. We took them in and have played our role in changing their stigma and view to life. Juliet is now settled and living happily and his health is normal.
