Spiritual Renaissance

Todays Religions are in need of new leaders, spiritual men and women who will dare to depend solely on Jesus and his incomparable teachings. We must become these new teachers of Jesus' religion who will be exclusively devoted to the spiritual regeneration of men. Then as spirit-born souls we may quickly supply the leadership and inspiration requisite for the social, moral, economic, and political reorganization of the world.

Said the Master teacher “My Father requires of the children of faith that they bear much spirit fruit. If, therefore, you are not fruitful, he will dig about your roots and cut away your unfruitful branches. Increasingly, must you yield the fruits of the spirit as you progress heavenward in the kingdom of God. You may enter the kingdom as a child, but the Father requires that you grow up, by grace, to the full stature of spiritual adulthood. And when you go abroad to tell all nations the good news of this gospel, I will go before you, and my Spirit of Truth shall abide in your hearts. My peace I leave with you.”

A new and fuller revelation of the religion of Jesus is destined to conquer an empire of materialistic secularism and to overthrow a world sway of mechanistic naturalism. Our World is now quivering on the very brink of one of its most amazing and enthralling epochs of social readjustment, moral quickening, and spiritual enlightenment.

Steps of Faith Child Care Ministry

Steps of faith child care ministry, Uganda started two years back, when Katerega Sadam,Kakuku Rogers, and Nbs Sowedi realized that there were some problems in the community which needed attention. Some of them were;

Malnutrition due to poor feeding among children
Shortage of food
School dropouts due to the poverty
Child abuse of all sorts in many children
Children school denial to school going ages due to lack of school requirements and tuitions

So we mobilized the community and some members accepted to form the project / ministry as a weapon to overcome some of the above problems and here we are:

ACHIEVEMENTS

We have identified one hundred fifty-four (154) orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) under school going ages and 65 total dropouts. We have been able train them bible reading, this helped them not growing wildly and being good God fearing and presenting. We trained them modern farming and Music, Dance and Drama, so we are happy that there is a step ahead.
REGISTRATION OF THE PROJECT

We are very happy to inform you that our project is fully registered with the Authorities (Jinja city) i.e., we are operating legally. The authorities are aware of what we are doing.

COUNSELING AND GUIDANCE

We carry out all sorts of counseling to the orphans and vulnerable children, depending on the situation surrounding them. This has helped them more and gave more courage; this has changed their behaviors from negative to positive ways.

We not only counsel the children but also people with HIV/AIDS to go and get medical treatment so as to prolong their lives and plan for their families.

This is done by visiting them at their homes, calling for seminars and at times they come to our centre.

DOOR TO DOOR BIBLE PREACHING

This has assisted us to identify several problems in the community and healing people’s hearts. Here is where we identified a girl child of 13 years of age, who was raped by her uncle, and she was chased away of the home where she had been staying and got displaced. So, this girl claiming that she wants to go back school

WOMEN GROUPS FOR CRAFT MAKING

Here we managed to mobilize women for craft making to eradicate poverty among them but still need support and market for their product.

School fees/ scholastic materials for the orphans and vulnerable children. Many parents and guardians can’t afford fees, as result of many school dropouts, others are forced to marry when are still under school going age. They go for child labor, others become street children.
Basic requirements for the orphans and vulnerable children. Still very many children lack basic requirements like beddings, clothing, poor shelters, bad feeding and medical which need attention.
Lack of operational funds to make sure that we achieve our objectives and vision.
On the side of the guardians/ parents we need to empower them with income generating projects. But we have no way.
Transport van
Lack of stationeries mainly during the training like flip charts, writing note pads, pens, markers, and printing machines.

PLANS:

We need to have a well-constructed orphanage school and vocational institute well equipped with the following;

Computers, sewing machines,

Hair dressing room equipped with necessary for the learners,

Craft room well displayed

Recreation

All sorts of games like football, rope skipping, volleyball, net ball, and good play ground and reading books in the resource centre.

A van is needed to ease the day today ministry activities.
Continuation of gospel outreach, therefore we need a sponsor.

With all the mentioned achievements, challenges, and plans. We request for the following;

STREETS TO SMILES INITIATIVE

Introduction:

In the heart of Africa lies Uganda, a nation graced with diverse cultures and natural beauty. However, amidst this beauty, the plight of helpless street children who endure unimaginable hardships daily remains a distressing concern. These innocent souls, robbed of a nurturing environment, face daily struggles for survival, education, and a future. “Streets to Smiles Initiative " envisions a holistic approach to rescue, support, and rehabilitate street children in Uganda, addressing the root causes of their plight and guiding them towards a life of dignity and opportunity, ultimately leading to a brighter future for them.

The Problem:

Uganda, like many African nations, faces the grave issue of street children due to factors such as poverty, family breakdowns, and lack of access to education. These children are exposed to violence, exploitation, and substance abuse, robbing them of their childhood and potential. There is no comprehensive approach to tackle this issue currently, necessitating a new paradigm that addresses not only the symptoms but also the underlying causes.

Our Solution:

“Streets to Smiles Initiative " is not just a fleeting intervention but a sustainable solution that encompasses rescue, support, education, and rehabilitation.

Rescue and Shelter: Our initiative will work closely with local authorities to identify and rescue street children from hazardous situations. It will establish safe shelters equipped with basic necessities, medical care, and counseling to provide an immediate haven for these children.

Education and Skill Development: Education is a beacon of change. We will provide access to formal education within the shelters, as well as vocational training for older children. Equipping them with skills will empower them to secure employment and break the cycle of poverty.

Psychosocial Support: Trauma and emotional scars often haunt street children. Our trained counselors will offer individual and group therapy sessions to help them heal from their past experiences and build a positive self-image.

Reintegration and Family Strengthening: Reuniting children with their families whenever possible is paramount. For cases where reintegration isn't possible, we will facilitate foster care placements or group homes, providing them with a loving and stable environment.

Community Outreach and Awareness: There will collaborate with local communities to raise awareness about the rights of children and the importance of their protection. This will foster a sense of collective responsibility in safeguarding the future of these children.

“Streets to Smiles Initiative " envisions a transformed landscape where street children are given a second chance at life. With education and skills, they will become contributing members of society, breaking free from the cycle of poverty and vulnerability. Reintegrating them into families or providing them with caring environments will ensure emotional healing and personal growth.

Currently I am now the Director of Stretch Hands Uganda and Murambo Beekeeping Organization. Stretch Hands Uganda is supporting children in my community especially Batwa people and non Batwa people in my community.

SHU is a nonprofit organization and nongovernmental organization,non partisan which is run by adults and youth of different discipline in close cooperation with local communities in Rubanda district of Uganda.
This is aimed at providing sustainable support to the disadvantaged and risks members of bakiga and Batwa communities of south western Uganda to access support in form of quality health services,education,improve income and human rights awareness.

Missions

The mission of the organization is to identify and recognize the needs of vulnerable children by promoting and carrying out activities that ensure conducive environment for proper upbringing in the communities of Rubanda and Kabale district.

Objectives

To provide literacy in the local communities through children sponsorship programs to the vulnerable children .
To promote quality education by constructing and managing primary schools in the communities.
To provide food supplement to the malnourished children .
To provide better health services through sensitization program.
To provide a home for homeless ,distressed and HIV /AIDS vulnerable children.

“The kingdom of God is within you” was probably the greatest pronouncement Jesus ever made, next to the declaration that his Father is a living and loving spirit.

In winning souls for the Master, it is not the first mile of compulsion, duty, or convention that will transform man and his world, but rather the second mile of free service and liberty-loving devotion that betokens the Jesusonian reaching forth to grasp his brother in love and sweep him on under spiritual guidance toward the higher and divine goal of mortal existence. Christianity even now willingly goes the first mile, but mankind languishes and stumbles along in moral darkness because there are so few genuine second-milers — so few professed followers of Jesus who really live and love as he taught his disciples to live and love and serve.

The call to the adventure of building a new and transformed human society by means of the spiritual rebirth of Jesus’ brotherhood of the kingdom should thrill all who believe in him as men have not been stirred since the days when they walked about on earth as his companions in the flesh.

Hi, and welcome, I am Raafat Fried Abu Reida

Team Childhood Dreams is a Palestinian humanitarian, nonprofit, nonpolitical team that aims to help the poor families especially poor and orphans children in Gaza Strip .

The campaign aims to help the poor children and provide them with winter clothes .

The first axes is to provide the children with proper winter clothes.
The second axes is to provide the children with the basic needs such as money, food and medicine.

Give Gaza children the gift of fun, friendship and support as they struggle to grow up under occupation
and violent internal and external conflict.

Nearly half of the Gaza Strip’s two million people are below the age of 14. These are children who have
been shaped by war; and the fear of another war. Their family’s struggle daily to put food on the table.

As well as a lack of clean water, electricity and other basic requirements of living; and a future that is at once both monotonously unchanging and fraught with uncertainty.

These stresses not only impact the children directly, but also indirectly through parents and siblings. Too
often, depression, anger and anxiety are projected onto others in the form of verbal, physical or sexual
abuse. Bullying has become a common way to respond to tension, while others withdraw deep within.

Complicating this all is a culture that rejects any perception of weakness.

Gaza children need a safe place to express themselves and explore alternative ways to process the world.
We want to use cinema and facilitated discussions as the vehicle, but we need your help.
