Always With You
'When you pass through the waters of affliction, I will be with you, and when the rivers of adversity overflow you, I will not forsake you.' Jesus 148:5.5
The Character Of God
"...when man begins to understand and experience the personality and character of the living God, he is led increasingly to love such a good and perfect, universal and eternal Father." Jesus, 149:6.3
The Master
The Master made it clear that the kingdom of heaven must begin with, and be centered in, the dual concept of the truth of the fatherhood of God and the correlated fact of the brotherhood of man. 170:2.1
Selfish or Altruistic
All men recognize the morality of this universal human urge to be unselfish and altruistic. The humanist ascribes the origin of this urge to the natural working of the material mind; the religionist more correctly recognizes that the truly unselfish drive of mortal mind is in response to the inner spirit leadings of the Thought Adjuster. 103:5.3
The Living Vine
I declare that in my Father's eternal kingdom the tree is known by its fruits. Jesus 153:4.4
Partnership
When man goes in partnership with God, great things may, and do, happen. 132:7.9
True Victory
"And if you are the sons of God, then have you been born of the spirit of God; and whosoever has been born of the spirit has in himself the power to overcome all doubt, and this is the victory that overcomes all uncertainty, even your faith." Jesus 142:5.3
Social Service
It therefore is evident that the true and inner religion of the kingdom unfailingly and increasingly tends to manifest itself in practical avenues of social service. Jesus taught a living religion that impelled its believers to engage in the doing of loving service. But Jesus did not put ethics in the place of religion. He taught religion as a cause and ethics as a result. 170:3.8
Said Jesus
"Regardless of who I am and what power I may or may not wield, I always have been, and always will be, subject to the will of my Paradise Father." 128:7.2
Modern Culture
Modern culture must become spiritually baptized with a new revelation of Jesus' life and illuminated with a new understanding of his gospel of eternal salvation. And when Jesus becomes thus lifted up, he will draw all men to himself. 195:10.1
