Understanding "The Twins spiritual Parables"!
The parable of the pearl of great price and the parable of the treasure hidden in a field.
Is There Any Difference Between Them?
My Response.................................
There is no difference between the two parables. They are almost the same thing to the best of my understanding. For example, be born again, surrender everything you have and think - to the will of the Universal Father. Start afresh, approach the Universal Father with empty hands, empty hearts, and empty minds. Let your focus in life be the gospel of Jesus: the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man. Find, know and do the will of the Universal Father and be of service to your fellows to the absolute best of your ability. This is the only principle to achieve and attain and maintain and keep eternally. There's only one goal, there's only one motivation, to be as you are in your sphere of influence as the Universal Father is in His infinite sphere of reality. Be you perfect even as the Universal Father is perfect. Now that you know the gospel of Jesus, giving up everything that you knew before is the meaning of these two parables written below.
Urantia Book 151:4.4: "The kingdom of heaven is also like a treasure hidden in a field, which a man discovered. In his joy he went forth to sell all he had that he might have the money to buy the field."
Urantia Book 151:4.5: "The kingdom of heaven is also like a merchant seeking goodly pearls; and having found one pearl of great price, he went out and sold everything he possessed that he might be able to buy the extraordinary pearl."
The Sanctity of Service comes to mind. The privilege of service immediately follows the discovery of trustworthiness. Nothing can stand between you and opportunity for increased service except your own untrustworthiness, your lack of capacity for appreciation of the solemnity of trust. 28:6.16 Urantia Book.
