Dear Esteemed Organizations, Compassionate Donors, Friends, and Fellow Urantia Readers,
I write this appeal with a heavy yet hopeful heart, sharing my story with honesty, humility, and deep faith in the goodwill of those who believe in service to humanity and the spiritual upliftment of the world. I humbly seek your guidance, advice, and support during a very challenging season of life that has tested my strength, commitment, and endurance, yet has not shaken my dedication to the teachings, aims, goals, and mission of The Urantia Book. My family and I are currently undertaking a family house project meant to provide a safe, stable, and dignified home environment. By grace and sacrifice, the project has reached nearly halfway to completion. However, financial limitations have made it extremely difficult to proceed further, and the fear of leaving the project unfinished weighs heavily on me, knowing how important this home is for the security and wellbeing of my family.
Alongside the housing challenge, I carry a deep personal burden regarding education—one shaped by my own painful experience. Due to severe shortage of funds, I was forced to leave school before completing my education. This remains one of the greatest sacrifices and regrets of my life. It is a loss I carry quietly, yet it fuels my determination to ensure that my younger brothers and sisters do not walk the same path. In many ways, I have become like a father to them—responsible not only for their physical needs but also for their future, guidance, and hope. I would not wish the pain of interrupted education on any child, least of all my own siblings. Sadly, their schooling is now at risk due to limited financial resources, and I humbly appeal for assistance toward their tuition, school requirements, and educational continuity so that their dreams are not cut short as mine once were.
As if these struggles were not enough, I recently experienced a deeply distressing incident that has further destabilized our situation. While returning home after attending a Zoom meeting in town—where I often go to charge devices and access free internet because we lack reliable electricity and connectivity at home—I was robbed. In that incident, I lost my social media and documentation devices. These devices were essential tools, not personal luxuries. They enabled me to document outreaches, conferences, and community engagements, and to coordinate activities such as book distributions and educational follow-ups. Losing them has left me feeling stranded, as though the ground beneath my feet has been taken away, and unsure where to begin rebuilding what was lost. These tools were also my primary means of communication and reporting, especially for Urantia-related outreach efforts.
Despite these personal hardships, my commitment to spreading the teachings of The Urantia Book has remained firm and unwavering. I firmly believe in its message of God’s love, the brotherhood of humanity, spiritual growth, and service-driven living. In alignment with this mission, we have already launched a Urantia Book Gift Program this year, aimed at freely sharing the book with individuals and communities who would otherwise never have access to it. This program is born out of deep conviction and love for truth, and a desire to see lives transformed through spiritual enlightenment. However, sustaining and expanding this initiative requires financial support—for acquiring books, transportation, documentation, and coordination—as well as moral encouragement and partnership from organizations, donors, and Urantia-related groups who share this vision.
Therefore, with humility and sincerity, I appeal to you for support in any form you feel moved to offer. This includes financial assistance, educational sponsorship for my siblings, guidance on completing the family house project, support in replacing stolen outreach devices, and funding or partnership for the Urantia Book Gift Program. Your support would not only restore hope to a struggling family but would also directly contribute to advancing the mission of The Urantia Book—spreading truth, nurturing spiritual growth, and fostering unity and service among humanity. Even a small act of kindness or word of guidance can create ripples of change far beyond what we can imagine.
Thank you for taking the time to read this deeply personal appeal and for considering standing with us during this difficult yet hopeful journey. I remain grateful for your compassion, prayers, and support, and I trust that together we can continue serving humanity and honoring the Father’s will through faithful service and perseverance.
With sincere gratitude and hope,
Niwamanya Onesmas
