My Story
I was born on 8th of April 2002. I was born by Mr.Muhanguzi Obed and Mrs. Sarah Mirembe. We were born two children, i.e. ME AND MY SISTER [ATUHWERIRE ODECIOUS].
But unfortunately our Dad left us at young stage. So we were left three in the family with our mother being the head of the family now.
After our father’s death, things turned against us. Going to school was like a misery. I would go and study for today and the next day I stay at home looking for my school my fees. All the people that we knew as our relatives were now in turn fighting to take little property that belonged to our father. In the struggle, since we were still young to fight with our mother, they finally grabbed all the property that was left to us.
So we were just left with the small house where we live and some small portion of land which was later sold off in order to provide our basic needs including food and school fees. My mother had just sold the land; my sister got a heart and diseases.
Now the chapter turned into a new one. All the money was used for my sister’s treatment and she is even still under operation. This also largely attributed to my failure to go to school. Now we my mother lacked what to do since she was supposed to provide all the basic needs yet she had no money, pay my school fees yet she had no money, cater for my school fees yet she had no money.
Now I started moving looking for small jobs in order to earn my school fees and also get some balance to provide food for my sister’s treatment. But I couldn’t find any. At times I sit and ask is this really the reason as to why you created me. Because I have totally lost hopes of going back to school. So still up to now we are living in the same life [my sister is sick, we don’t have food, and me to I don’t have school fees]. I had just started my A ‘LEVEL and as per now I need at least 100 CAD to start schooling.
