P614:1, 54:1.6 True liberty is the associate of genuine self-respect; false liberty is the consort of self-admiration. True liberty is the fruit of self-control; false liberty, the assumption of self-assertion. Self-control leads to altruistic service; self-admiration tends towards the exploitation of others for the selfish aggrandizement of such a mistaken individual as is willing to sacrifice righteous attainment for the sake of possessing unjust power over his fellow beings.

100:4.3 (1097.7) But the great problem of religious living consists in the task of unifying the soul powers of the personality by the dominance of love. Health, mental efficiency, and happiness arise from the unification of physical systems, mind systems, and spirit systems. Of health and sanity man understands much, but of happiness he has truly realized very little. The highest happiness is indissolubly linked with spiritual progress. Spiritual growth yields lasting joy, peace which passes all understanding.

htt81:3.7 The traveling trader and the roving explorer did more to advance historic civilization than all other influences combined. Military conquests, colonization, and missionary enterprises fostered by the later religions were also factors in the spread of culture; but these were all secondary to the trading relations, which were ever accelerated by the rapidly developing arts and sciences of industry.
Advance the World
The cold has come, a -12.
But that’s outside, not where we dwell.
We’re inside, out of the cold.
We’ve learned to keep our temps controlled.
We stay inside where we have built
Structures that do suit our ilk.
They keep the cold away from us.
They truly have become robust!
We talk of building on the moon.
The cost of which I’m sure will zoom!
The know how’s there, I have no doubt.
But do we choose the proper route?
We need to choose how we do use
And make the choice to not abuse
This world on which we all do live.
We need to learn more, how to give.
We need to raise humanity up—
Slowly, as to not disrupt
What we have already built.
We cannot lose what You have willed.
Spiritually we must advance!
Accept what’s true, not blind romance.
Let the Truth be guiding us.
The Spirit within us we must trust.
Thank You, Father, help us see
The world as one – more Spiritually.
More gadgets aren’t the way to peace.
We need more Spiritual expertise.
