195:9.5 The modern age will refuse to accept a religion which is inconsistent with facts and out of harmony with its highest conceptions of truth, beauty, and goodness. The hour is striking for a rediscovery of the true and original foundations of present-day distorted and compromised Christianity -- the real life and teachings of Jesus. 

195:10.10 If the Christian church would only dare to espouse the Master's program, thousands of apparently indifferent youths would rush forward to enlist in such a spiritual undertaking, and they would not hesitate to go all the way through with this great adventure.

196:1.2 Jesus of Nazareth must not be longer sacrificed to even the splendid concept of the glorified Christ. What a transcendent service if, through this revelation, the Son of Man should be recovered from the tomb of traditional theology and be presented as the living Jesus to the church that bears his name, and to all other religions! 

Food forests mimic nature, are outstanding examples of earth stewardship, and arguably the most natural and sustainable food production method available. They are low-maintenance, produce a huge diversity of food and habitat, and help to regenerate and then maintain the land they are grown on.

I bring tidings of blessings resulting from the co-ordination of Snake River Music Gardens of Baker County, Oregon and Youth in Act - Uganda.  Our two organizations have established agreements and certifications to grow food forests.  We are enrolling in our food forest certification program Ugandan Urantia Book readers with missions (1) to orphans and (2) to bring the Urantia Book to the wider community.  

Donations to www.snakerivermusicgardens.org go 100% to orphan care, food forest establishment, and land purchases.  We provide administrative services free of charge.

Waiswa John Billy, director of Youth in Act - Uganda and His Grace Children’s Home, provides site visits to orphanages, and documentation (accounts, reports, photographs, videos) of every gift we send.  Joseph Mulopi, agriculturist of Youth in Act - Uganda, visits food forest sites and qualifies gardeners as food foresters in support of the work of Mulopi’s Extinct Tree Hub, reviving Uganda’s pre-colonial staple food trees.  

Avert Famine!  Grow Food Forests!  Because of the war in Ukraine we have about half a year until un-replenished food stores run out and famine strikes.  In those six months, we have work to do, land parcels to purchase, tools and trees to propagate, seeds to grow.  

Fortunately we benefit from the experience of Snake River Music Gardens president Arthur Sappington, master naturalist, watershed manager, co-ordinating officer of the Jefferson Mining District, who for decades has  protected and propagated food forests both temperate and tropical.

I, Arthur’s wife, Lindianne, am grateful to God for leading me to serve in these endeavors.  In Urantia’s real economy, I serve as an administrator to receive and pass gifts to qualified recipients.  In our joint endeavors with Youth in Act - Uganda, I listen, communicate needs, count, record, give thanks for, place, and administer gifts.

The Urantia Book teaches:  After Jesus’ father Joseph was killed in a construction accident, Jesus as eldest son became the father of his family.  Jesus would not begin his public ministry on earth until he had provided for his mother, sisters and brothers; to provide for his family,  Jesus purchased and planted family gardens.  

Our life mission is to walk in Jesus’ footsteps, purchasing and establishing  food forests, strengthening the vulnerable so—eventually—no human hungers.  

Snake River Music Gardens pays reasonable prices for food forest parcels urban and rural, and through Youth in Act - Uganda places qualified minister-gardeners and matrons onto those lands as landowners.  Certification begins with Youth in Act - Uganda site visits and continues with outreach workshops to train more families to grow food forests.  Although we are non-denominational and non-political, we serve mainly Urantia Book readers through Paul Kemp’s spiritualfamily.net.

Currently we correspond with and/or send gifts to His Grace Children’s Home, Youth in Act - Uganda, Muga Child Outreach, Happy Hours Ministry, and the family and Urantia Book ministry of Gumisiriza Julius.   

Who are we?  My husband Arthur Sappington and I have collaborated for 31 years in natural resources, watershed management and reversing desertification.  We garden, keep bees, make music, build soil, research, write, live and speak as one.   

As a 35-year Urantia Book reader, I had asked at Urantia Book gatherings, seeing so many silver hairs, “Where are the young families with children who are the future of the Urantia Book teachings on this planet?”  One answer is: in Uganda!

  ^165:2.6 "You who would be the undershepherds of my Father's flocks must not only be worthy leaders, but you must also feed the flock with good food; you are not true shepherds unless you lead your flocks into green pastures and beside still waters.

Why Eden Centers are required. 

  ^103:5.11 Spiritual growth is greatest where all external pressures are at a minimum. "Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." Man develops best when the pressures of home, community, church, and state are least. 

^176:3.7 Truth is living; the Spirit of Truth is ever leading the children of light into new realms of spiritual reality and divine service. You are not given truth to crystallize into settled, safe, and honored forms. Your revelation of truth must be so enhanced by passing through your personal experience that new beauty and actual spiritual gains will be disclosed to all who behold your spiritual fruits and in consequence thereof are led to glorify the Father who is in heaven. Only those faithful servants who thus grow in the knowledge of the truth, and who thereby develop the capacity for divine appreciation of spiritual realities, can ever hope to "enter fully into the joy of their Lord." What a sorry sight for successive generations of the professed followers of Jesus to say, regarding their stewardship of divine truth: "Here, Master, is the truth you committed to us a hundred or a thousand years ago. We have lost nothing; we have faithfully preserved all you gave us; we have allowed no changes to be made in that which you taught us; here is the truth you gave us." But such a plea concerning spiritual indolence will not justify the barren steward of truth in the presence of the Master. In accordance with the truth committed to your hands will the Master of truth require a reckoning.

^178:1.15 The revelation I have made to you is a living revelation, and I desire that it shall bear appropriate fruits in each individual and in each generation in accordance with the laws of spiritual growth, increase, and adaptative development. From generation to generation this gospel must show increasing vitality and exhibit greater depth of spiritual power. It must not be permitted to become merely a sacred memory, a mere tradition about me and the times in which we now live.

The Everlasting Gospel

"And now I declare to you that I, if I be lifted up on earth and in your lives, will draw all men to myself and into the fellowship of my Father.

  178:1.11 Remember that you are commissioned to preach this gospel of the kingdom -- the supreme desire to do the Father's will coupled with the supreme joy of the faith realization of sonship with God -- and you must not allow anything to divert your devotion to this one duty. 

The Everlasting Gospel IS HERE NOW

  195:10.16 The great hope of Urantia lies in the possibility of a new revelation of Jesus with a new and enlarged presentation of his saving message which would spiritually unite in loving service the numerous families of his present-day professed followers.

  ^99:2.3 Religionists must function in society, in industry, and in politics as individuals, not as groups, parties, or institutions. A religious group which presumes to function as such, apart from religious activities, immediately becomes a political party, an economic organization, or a social institution. Religious collectivism must confine its efforts to the furtherance of religious causes.

 

  ^99:3.9 Religion can be kept free from unholy secular alliances only by:

1. A critically corrective philosophy.

2. Freedom from all social, economic, and political alliances.

3. Creative, comforting, and love-expanding fellowships.

4. Progressive enhancement of spiritual insight and the appreciation of cosmic values.

5. Prevention of fanaticism by the compensations of the scientific mental attitude.

  ^99:3.10 Religionists, as a group, must never concern themselves with anything but religion, albeit any one such religionist, as an individual citizen, may become the outstanding leader of some social, economic, or political reconstruction movement.

  ^99:3.11 It is the business of religion to create, sustain, and inspire such a cosmic loyalty in the individual citizen as will direct him to the achievement of success in the advancement of all these difficult but desirable social services.

I tell you that the children of yesteryear are walking in the funeral of the era which they created for themselves. They are pulling a rotting rope that may break soon and cause them to drop into a forgotten abyss. I say that they are living in homes with weak foundations. As the storm blows - and it is about to blow - their homes will fall upon their heads and thus become their tombs. I say that all their thoughts, their sayings, their quarrels, their compositions, their books and all their works are nothing but chains dragging them because they are too weak to pull the load.

But the children of tomorrow are the ones called by life, and they follow it with steady steps and heads high. They are the dawn of the new frontiers; no smoke will veil their eyes and no jingle of chains will drown out their voices. They are few in number but the difference is as between a grain of wheat and a stack of hay. No one knows them but they know each other. They are like the summits, which can see and hear each other - not like caves, which cannot hear or see. They are the seed dropped by the hand of God in the field, breaking through its pod and waving its sapling leaves before the face of the sun. It shall grow into a mighty tree; its roots in the heart of the Earth and its branches high in the sky.

  ^165:4.5 When Jesus had finished his story, another man rose up and asked him: "Master, I know that your apostles have sold all their earthly possessions to follow you, and that they have all things in common as do the Essenes, but would you have all of us who are your disciples do likewise? Is it a sin to possess honest wealth?" And Jesus replied to this question: "My friend, it is not a sin to have honorable wealth; but it is a sin if you convert the wealth of material possessions into treasures which may absorb your interests and divert your affections from devotion to the spiritual pursuits of the kingdom. There is no sin in having honest possessions on earth provided your treasure is in heaven, for where your treasure is there will your heart be also. There is a great difference between wealth which leads to covetousness and selfishness and that which is held and dispensed in the spirit of stewardship by those who have an abundance of this world's goods, and who so bountifully contribute to the support of those who devote all their energies to the work of the kingdom. Many of you who are here and without money are fed and lodged in yonder tented city because liberal men and women of means have given funds to your host, David Zebedee, for such purposes.

  ^165:4.6 "But never forget that, after all, wealth is unenduring. The love of riches all too often obscures and even destroys the spiritual vision. Fail not to recognize the danger of wealth's becoming, not your servant, but your master."

 

Whatever else may concern the wealthy in the judgment, at least three questions must be answered by all who acquire great wealth, and these questions are:

Cooperate with the revelation manifesto and plans of the Most Highs presently serving on this world, and the reserve corps of destiny who are the living men and women who have been admitted to the special service of the superhuman administration of world affairs.  This mission is especially focused upon the proclamation of The Life and Teachings of Jesus as he demonstrated and taught his gospel on this very world even declaring . . . "in an age to come the gospel which I declare to you will rule this very world"

MISSION Statement: 

Our mission, beginning here in Canada, is to facilitate on physical sites in various climates, the fostering of the true teachings of enlightenment portrayed by our Creator as he lived his life here on earth in the flesh, in order to foster schools of high spiritual, practical, vocational family life and learning, relying on the spiritual united fellowship of the brotherhood of man under the Fatherhood of God. To develop schools of higher learning under the direction of the Most Highs free from institutional dogma and creed and based in the revelational evolution uplifted by the periodic epochal revelations towards the era of light and life.

GOALS:

To establish Spirit-inspired centres of unique education, starting here in Nova Scotia, Canada, and other sites of permanent culture, in order to prepare this world for the propagation of the knowledge of epochal revelations (ref. The Urantia Papers) in informing us of our origin, history and destiny; and, to develop the land into food forests and garden sites in order to sustain both nutritional needs and community living . . . "as if in the presence of God". . . There is a real purpose in the socialization of religion. It is the purpose of group religious activities to dramatize the loyalties of religion; to magnify the lures of truth, beauty, and goodness; to foster the attractions of supreme values; to enhance the service of unselfish fellowship; to glorify the potentials of family life; to promote religious education; to provide wise counsel and spiritual guidance; and to encourage group worship. And all live religions encourage human friendship, conserve morality, promote neighborhood welfare, and facilitate the spread of the essential gospel of their respective messages of eternal salvation.

Proposed Projects:

1./ Establish accommodation for full time devoted agents and representatives of our Creator serving this day and generation and their families who share in common as did Jesus arranged for the first  Apostles during the times of his public ministry.

2./ To build Student Modules for 2 Week - 1 Month - 6 Months - 1 Year Sabbaticals to spend time alone with God in the tabernacles of nature while embracing the knowledge of all previous Epochal Revelation and attempting communion with God through the standard methods of evolutionary revelation (auto-revelation) enhanced by the previous Periodic Epochal Revelations thus acquiring possession of knowledge through service and living faith, while we attain an implicit faith, a whole-souled belief, in the certain triumph of righteousness. 

  ^167:6.6 When it is not possible to worship God in the tabernacles of nature, men should do their best to provide houses of beauty, sanctuaries of appealing simplicity and artistic embellishment, so that the highest of human emotions may be aroused in association with the intellectual approach to spiritual communion with God. Truth, beauty, and holiness are powerful and effective aids to true worship. 

3./ To establish a Conferencing Center able to hold 250 Attendees for the promotion of the 5th Epochal Revelation and the spread of the Gospel of Jesus as he presented and demonstrated these teachings on Urantia  at the time of 4th Epochal Revelation of God to the human family.

4./ To bring Teachers and Leaders to the facility for training from other National Families of the world and sending them back to their people as advanced human teachers of truth to provide leadership for the world for the impending world-wide social reconstruction and economic reorganization. Institutional religion cannot afford inspiration and provide leadership in this impending world-wide social reconstruction and economic reorganization because it has unfortunately become more or less of an organic part of the social order and the economic system which is destined to undergo reconstruction. Only the real religion of personal spiritual experience as taught by Jesus can function helpfully and creatively in the present crisis of civilization providing the spirit-born souls to quickly supply the leadership and inspiration requisite for the social, moral, economic, and political reorganization of the world.

5./ To register as a World Wide WWOOF community as a means of attracting physical help in gardening, animal husbandry, construction and maintenance projects, offering, in return, accommodations as well as spiritual guidance to this growing international family of world citizens.

6./ To register under the Food Forest Certification Program and establish a Food Forest to feed a growing Community.

Social Harmony
A social group of human beings in co-ordinated working harmony stands for a force far greater than the simple sum of its parts. 133:5.6

^154:4.2 Many intelligent and well-meaning men, even in the more enlightened age of these revelations, maintain that modern civilization could not have been built upon the teachings of Jesus -- and they are partially right. But all such doubters forget that a much better civilization could have been built upon his teachings, and sometime will be. This world has never seriously tried to carry out the teachings of Jesus on a large scale, notwithstanding that halfhearted attempts have often been made to follow the doctrines of so-called Christianity.

 

^195:9.6 Modern men and women of intelligence evade the religion of Jesus because of their fears of what it will do to them -- and with them. And all such fears are well founded. The religion of Jesus does, indeed, dominate and transform its believers, demanding that men dedicate their lives to seeking for a knowledge of the will of the Father in heaven and requiring that the energies of living be consecrated to the unselfish service of the brotherhood of man.

^103:5.11 Spiritual growth is greatest where all external pressures are at a minimum. "Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." 

^92:5.13 The future of Urantia will doubtless be characterized by the appearance of teachers of religious truth -- the Fatherhood of God and the fraternity of all creatures. But it is to be hoped that the ardent and sincere efforts of these future prophets will be directed less toward the strengthening of interreligious barriers and more toward the augmentation of the religious brotherhood of spiritual worship among the many followers of the differing intellectual theologies which so characterize Urantia of Satania.

The URANTIA Book’s Prophecy

In one of last pages of The URANTIA Book, the Paper’s supernal author states: “What a transcendent service if, through this revelation, the Son of Man should be recovered from the tomb of traditional theology and be presented as the living Jesus to the church that bears his name, and to all other religions!” (2090 C). This statement is nothing less than the purpose of the revelation, the raison d’etre of The URANTIA Book.

This is the manifestation of Jesus’ promised “enhanced demonstration of righteousness” and the fulfillment of The URANTIA Book’s prophecy concerning the advent of the future teachers and leaders. These, having been born of the spirit, depending “solely” on Jesus and his teachings, and who will “exclusively devote” themselves to the spiritual regeneration of mankind, shall “supply the leadership and inspiration requisite for the social, moral, economic, and political reorganization of the world” (2082 D). The New Revelation of Jesus is nothing less than the second part of the Fifth Epochal Revelation, the promised compliment to its “expanded revelation of truth” found in The URANTIA Book, also promised by Jesus. It is at least the “enhanced demonstration of righteousness” for our time (ref. 1914 C).

A beautiful vision of how this transcendent service will be actualized is given elsewhere in the same Paper, especially in its sections 9, “Christianity’s Problem” and 10, “The Future”. There we see quite clearly that a spiritual movement is being foretold. If my timing is correct it should begin to take place in about the year A.D. 2021. But whether this dating is correct or not, we have been assured that “the revelation of God to the world, in and through Jesus, shall not fail” (2097 A).

What is being pictured in those pages is a worldwide, spirit-backed project with a goal of nothing short of the “spiritual regeneration of men” (2082 D) . And this project will be world changing: it will “quickly supply the leadership and inspiration requisite for the social, moral, economic, and political reorganization of the world” (2082 D - 2083 A).

Ever and anon, spiritual promise is inviolable. He will send messengers, channels for the expression of Divine Wisdom to guide humanity. These will be fully recognizable to the non-egotistical seeker. They will illuminate and lead, helping to maintain the essential balance of nature and spirit.

Regardless of nationality, their garden cities will rise on earth, first one than another, to form the nucleus of a new, single Urantia race and human family. Their new world prayer will be a guiding light.

God's forgiveness is made actually available and is personally experienced by man just in so far as he forgives his fellows. Man will not truly forgive his fellows unless he loves them as himself. To thus love your neighbor as yourself is the highest ethics. Moral conduct, true righteousness, becomes, then, the natural result of such love.
 
It therefore is evident that the true and inner religion of the kingdom unfailingly and increasingly tends to manifest itself in practical avenues of social service. Jesus taught a living religion that impelled its believers to engage in the doing of loving service. But Jesus did not put ethics in the place of religion. He taught religion as a cause and ethics as a result.

Human pedagogy proceeds from the simple to the complex. The Urantia Revelation begins with the more complex and goes on to the consideration of the more simple. Instead of beginning with man reaching up for God, the Urantia Papers begin with God—reaching down and finding man.

  ^149:2.1 Jesus understood the minds of men. He knew what was in the heart of man, and had his teachings been left as he presented them, the only commentary being the inspired interpretation afforded by his earth life, all nations and all religions of the world would speedily have embraced the gospel of the kingdom.

Philly grew up in a poor family and became a sponsored child at the age of 6 years. Philly successful completed high school and had the ambition to complete further studies to become a Doctor. However after high school, his sponsor was unable to continue supporting him financially, so his dream of being a Doctor could not be achieved as he could not afford the tuition costs. Instead of being disappointed on missing out on his dream, Philly wanted to show his appreciation to his sponsor by giving back to the local community, Philly decided to start a project (MUGA CHILD OUTREACH) for children who were from financially disadvantaged humble backgrounds and provide them with Opportunities.

Muga Child Outreach currently has 18 children under it's care. These children are mostly out of food, scholastic materials, clothes, pads, and most of all, we really need sponsors to help these needy children in terms of education, because I feel sad to pay school fees for like 6 children, yet other children also need to pay. It's my humble cry to all my friends around the world that there's much need for you to support us in this occasion.

ABOUT JINJA, UGANDA:

Jinja is a town in Uganda, the third-largest economy in the East African Community. The town of Jinja is in Jinja District, Busoga sub-region, in the Eastern Region of Uganda. The town is approximately 81 kilometres (50 mi), by road, east of Kampala, which is the country's capital and the largest city of Uganda. Jinja is the largest metropolitan area in the Jinja District and the 14th-largest town in the country. 

Jinja is known as being the town that has "The Source of the Nile." It sits along the northern shores of Lake Victoria, which is where the Nile River begins. It travels up through there and to Egypt. Jinja is commonly regarded as "the adventure capital of East Africa" due to the very many activities in town that one could engage in, especially for tourists. Local attractions include white-water rafting, the "Source of the Nile", Bungee Jumping, and the Nile Breweries Limited's large brewery. Jinja is a major station on the Uganda Railway and is a port for Lake Victoria ferries.

Jinja had the second largest economy in Uganda. In the past, factories chose Jinja as their base because of the nearby electric power station at the Owen Falls Dam. Since the early 2000's, the economy of Jinja has picked up steadily. The main economic activities take place in the central business district. A new market for fresh produce was completed during the fourth quarter of 2014. The facility can accommodate up to 4,500 vendors and cost US $13.7 million to construct, with a loan from the African Development Bank from 2011 until 2014.
