I studied history and constitutional law at Princeton University, Class of 1976.  I have been reading the Urantia Book since 1986.

My husband Arthur Sappington (natural resources generalist, watershed manager--see his profile on www.snakerivermusicgardens.org) ) and I now focus our time and energy into serving Snake River Music Gardens, a tax-exempt public charity we founded in 2021, www.snakerivermusicgardens.org.  We foster food forests both here in the Snake River watershed and in Uganda, where we see the food forest movement as a way for the people of Uganda to avert famine and achieve food self-reliance.  Our co-ordination with director Waiswa John Billy and agriculturist Joseph Mulopi of Youth in Act - Uganda makes possible the Food Forest Certification Program.  We have adopted the 35 orphans of His Grace Children's Home as our own grandchildren, and we love Waiswa John Billy as a son. 

Dear friends, I am Nabirye Moreen one of the children at Youth in Act-Uganda, His Grace Children's Home. I am the eldest child at this children's home and I completed my secondary school last year in November. The results came back and I passed and waiting to apply for a course to do at Institution level. I thank uncle Waiswa John Billy and mummy Shelli Bernard for the support. 

At this time my fellow younger ones at the Children's Home are going back to school but they don't have the materials to use at school. I am asking for the good people in this world to help them with school materials that they need to acquire education.

Right this minute, children in Gaza are collecting food and clothes from garbage dumps as a consequence of violence and the rise in poverty levels.

They return to their poverty-sheltered homes surrounded by danger and accompanied by rats. Young girls like Ola travel to the garbage dumps daily, as her father has a fractured bone and kidney stones, preventing him to provide for the family. Mothers are frightened for their children to go there, yet this is what is needed for a living. Life for these vulnerable people is far from a festival, they only dream to wear nice clothes and eat adequate food. Over a million people are living in dire conditions like this in Gaza. We need to believe in vulnerable people like Ola. Believe in the children of Gaza this Ramadan.
