Alone in Africa, the indigo race made little advancement until the days of Orvonon, when they experienced a great spiritual awakening. While they later almost entirely forgot the "God of Gods" proclaimed by Orvonon, they did not entirely lose the desire to worship the Unknown; at least they maintained a form of worship up to a few thousand years ago.

The Urantia Book For Dummies is a collaborative effort of dedicated Urantia Book readers who formed a volunteer core team to produce a video series, also called, “The Urantia Book for Dummies,"  and a Hardcopy book to follow later.  The book will be written by members of the UB Youth and Young Adults Group (YaYA), UB Study groups and Educators.     We would like to extend an invitation to you and or your group to join us and participate in this extraordinary project.  

 Would you like to serve in this exciting service project? --  "The Urantia Book for Dummies"! 

   This collaborative project is being undertaken by a growing team of service volunteers whose goal is to help make the Urantia Book even more accessible to new readers around the world, by explaining its principles, ideas, ideals, meanings, values, topics and concepts, in a simple and more understandable way.  The project begins with an extended series of educational videos--some are already online.

   These videos will be followed by a non-fiction, hard-copy book . Both videos and book will be produced in two parts:  Part 1 - "THE CONCENTRIC PERSPECTIVE: THE URANTIA BOOK - IN A NUTSHELL" Part 2 - "A GUIDE FOR THE PERPLEXED: " A collection of In-Depth Essays on Topical Subjects first outlined in part 1, in plain, simple language  Your help is needed, as it will take a community to raise this child!

 You can serve in the Father’s work here, by participating in so many ways:
 

   1./ View the videos to date, here or  at www.urantiabookfordummies.org in the YouTube format, and be sure to click on the "like" button; (also "subscribe" below each video to be notified of the next chapters in the series). The success of the videos will help to pave the way for the acceptance of the book by the publisher of the "Dummy" series, which will ensure that the book will be published in languages from all over the world! 

   2./ Submit an essay, or graphic, or video, or quote, or piece of music to our Team for assessment for inclusion into the videos and books.  The Team will assist you in bringing forward the best ideas, topics and concepts in the Urantia Book, by providing brain-storming assistance, editing and format guidance and other technical and knowledge based assistance. 

   3./ The team needs graphic artists, authors, musicians and technical and media people; researchers, proof readers, editors, video viewers, fact checkers and many other helping hands--if you have any of these talents, please contact the team at gg@godsgumshoe.org. Come and join a service project designed to improve leadership and team-working skills and have a great time working together as a Team in bringing forward the uplifting message and mission of our Creators.

The Purpose of Epochal Revelations ARE.

Authoritative Epochal Revelations

Truth is always a revelation: autorevelation when it emerges as a result of the work of the indwelling Adjuster; epochal revelation when it is presented by the function of some other celestial agency, group, or personality.

In the last analysis, religion is to be judged by its fruits, according to the manner and the extent to which it exhibits its own inherent and divine excellence.

Truth may be but relatively inspired, even though revelation is invariably a spiritual phenomenon. While statements with reference to cosmology are never inspired, such revelations are of immense value in that they at least transiently clarify knowledge by:

1. The reduction of confusion by the authoritative elimination of error.

2. The co-ordination of known or about-to-be-known facts and observations.

3. The restoration of important bits of lost knowledge concerning epochal transactions in the distant past.

4. The supplying of information which will fill in vital missing gaps in otherwise earned knowledge.

5. Presenting cosmic data in such a manner as to illuminate the spiritual teachings contained in the accompanying revelation.

Ten men are of little more value than one in lifting a great load unless they lift together -- all at the same moment. And such teamwork -- social co-operation -- is dependent on leadership. The cultural civilizations of the past and the present have been based upon the intelligent co-operation of the citizenry with wise and progressive leaders; and until man evolves to higher levels, civilization will continue to be dependent on wise and vigorous leadership.

  ^81:6.38 High civilizations are born of the sagacious correlation of material wealth, intellectual greatness, moral worth, social cleverness, and cosmic insight.

^133:5.6 Mathematics asserts that, if one person stands for a certain unit of intellectual and moral value, ten persons would stand for ten times this value. But in dealing with human personality it would be nearer the truth to say that such a personality association is a sum equal to the square of the number of personalities concerned in the equation rather than the simple arithmetical sum. A social group of human beings in co-ordinated working harmony stands for a force far greater than the simple sum of its parts.

  ^133:5.7 Quantity may be identified as a fact, thus becoming a scientific uniformity. Quality, being a matter of mind interpretation, represents an estimate of values, and must, therefore, remain an experience of the individual. When both science and religion become less dogmatic and more tolerant of criticism, philosophy will then begin to achieve unity in the intelligent comprehension of the universe.
