In this insightful and downright hilarious talk, Theo shares some surprising discoveries about both sides of the aisle. Slam poet Theo E.J. Wilson, a.k.a Lucifury, is a founding member of Denver’s SlamNUBA team, which won the National Poetry Slam in 2011. He began his speaking career with the NAACP at the age of 15 and has always been passionate about social justice. Theo is currently the Executive Director of Shop Talk Live, an organization that uses the barbershop as a staging ground for community dialogue and healing. With so many people living in troubled areas of the world there will be a great increase in these types of natural disasters. An increase in the ability of the human soul to be guided by the angel assigned your watchcare will lessen the probability of you being caught up in these types of whirlwinds.

Take heed, they are not a myth, they are very real, approachable, holy and professional.

An 8.0-magnitude earthquake struck 191 kilometers east of Moyobamba, northern Peru, on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

Bart D. Ehrman is the James A. Gray Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He came to UNC in 1988, after four years of teaching at Rutgers University. At UNC he has served as both the Director of Graduate Studies and the Chair of the Department of Religious Studies. A graduate of Wheaton College (Illinois), Professor Ehrman received both his Masters of Divinity and Ph.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary, where his 1985 doctoral dissertation was awarded magna cum laude.

This is an excerpt from the film 'Vanuatu Women's Water Music', which I made with the people of Leweton Village on Espiritu Santo Island in Vanuatu, with the support of Further Arts a Vanuatu based NGO supporting local cultures through their culture and arts. I was originally asked to produce a CD, but when I arrived the village asked if I could make a film instead, so we looked at our resources, two basic cameras, some decent sound recording gear, a team of young local creatives keen to learn and create and number one -  incredible talent, songs along with stunning locations.  So we went for it and spent a week filming the cultural practices and songs of the village, which I cut together back in Australia (in Alice Springs, out in the desert, what a contrast).

The film has no english voice over, narration or sub titles and is all about the village, their culture and hanging out with them.

This song is based on the 'Vus Ero' rhythm, and another song called Rim Rim Saig, which is a work song sung when people are working together, pulling in the fishing nets, to keep time and gain strength.

Mallence Bart-Williams was born in Cologne, Germany. She is a Sierra Leonean writer and filmmaker and a German fashion designer. She pursued her studies in economics and finance in Paris, Singapore, and Great Britain. Today she lives across the globe, produces an all-natural cosmetics line in Hong Kong, and is the founder and creative director of the Freetown-based creative collective FOLORUNSHO, a ‘SHARITY’ that she initiated with street kids in Sierra Leone.

Due to her German-Sierra Leonean roots she perceives herself as a bridge connecting two vastly different worlds. Her diverse background enables her to see creative solutions to common problems. Within their three years of operation, her collective has taken homeless children off the streets and into school, developed a sneaker and clothing collection, published a book and documentary of their story, and has held fine art exhibitions. Through her work with FOLORUNSHO she connects cultural contrast, enabling people to share ideas, take action, and get results.

Managing solid waste collection aims at improving the cleanliness of the city. It is estimated that the per capita generation of garbage is one kilogram per day. With a population of about 1.5 million, this works out to about 1500 tons. The city councils can only manage to dispose of 40% - 50% of this. About 80% of this garbage is organic matter which makes it very bulky to handle.
