He is a retired LDU soldier who once served, and now this is the situation he finds himself in, abandoned and humiliated. This shows how easily society forgets those who grow old and poor, judging them without understanding their pain. I truly wish I had a way to help and uplift him, but life reminds us that God’s plans are unpredictable, and today it is him—tomorrow it could be anyone if compassion is lost.
