If we rely on physical evidence to validate our beliefs, we’ll have a spiritual life that ebbs and flows based on circumstances. When times are good, we’ll feel blessed. Conversely, in tough times, we’ll doubt God’s presence. By building a steadfast relationship with Him, we’ll know He is beside us, no matter what the day holds.

Trust all matters of mind beyond the dead level of consciousness to the custody of the Adjusters. ~ The Urantia Book, (110:4.4).

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
