113:1.1 The teaching about guardian angels is not a myth; certain groups of human beings do actually have personal angels. It was in recognition of this that Jesus, in speaking of the children of the heavenly kingdom, said: “Take heed that you despise not one of these little ones, for I say to you, their angels do always behold the presence of the spirit of my Father.”

Guardian Angels
To be upset is not the course.
Heaven hopes we’ll show remorse.
Frustrations, if allowed to build
Present a block to do what’s willed.

Don’t let your anger have its way.
Twill only lead you to dismay.
Anger leads to more mistakes.
Don’t let it have the power to break.

Respond with caution to frustration.
It implies a redirection.
A time and place need more inspection.
Choose to follow God‘s perfection.

One can’t know how cards are played.
The Angels choose, direct your ways.
Know they love you, but must do
As God’s will directs them to.

They anticipate your best.
They want your choice to reduce stress.
So anger cannot have its way.
Your search for Truth is what’s at play.

Angels can be your best friend.
Cooperate with what They’ve planned.
As you wish yourself to be,
They’ll help God’s plan be what you see.

Thank You, Father, You know best.

So in the end, All gain perfection.

48:6.8+ Even on Urantia they counsel the human teachers of truth and righteousness to adhere to the preaching of “the goodness of God, which leads to repentance,” to proclaim “the love of God, which casts out all fear.” Even so have these truths been declared on your world:
The Gods are my caretakers; I shall not stray;
Side by side they lead me in the beautiful paths and glorious refreshing of life everlasting.
I shall not, in this Divine Presence, want for food nor thirst for water.
Though I go down into the valley of uncertainty or ascend up into the worlds of doubt,
Though I move in loneliness or with the fellows of my kind,

World Wishes
I wish this world were really cool.
With global warming I’m no fool.
Science wins the physics world.
The Spirit is what God controls.

Cool in spirit, a thinking world
A place where God’s Will is unfurled.
Angry politics has no place.
It can’t depict a loving face.

How they wake with morning light
And go to work prepared to fight?
Do they pray before they start
And find God’s plan within their hearts?

To fight is not the way of love.
Above our fights we must evolve.
We want what’s best for everyone.
The fight inside is Spirit won.

A Spiritual world someday will be.

12:7.0 There is operative throughout all time and space and with regard to all reality of whatever nature an inexorable and impersonal law which is equivalent to the function of a cosmic providence. Mercy characterizes God’s attitude of love for the individual; impartiality motivates God’s attitude toward the total. The will of God does not necessarily prevail in the part – the heart of any one personality – but his will does actually rule the whole, the universe of universes.

1:5.15 The absolute perfection of the infinite God would cause him to suffer the awful limitations of unqualified finality of perfectness were it not a fact that the Universal Father directly participates in the personality struggle of every imperfect soul in the wide universe who seeks, by divine aid, to ascend to the spiritually perfect worlds on high. This progressive experience of every spirit being and every mortal creature throughout the universe of universes is a part of the Father’s ever-expanding Deity-consciousness of the never-ending divine circle of ceaseless self-realization.

Invigorates in many ways.
Problems seem to fade away
When our best we do display.

48:6.5&6 On the mansion worlds the seraphic evangels will help you to choose wisely among the optional routes to Edentia, Salvington, Uversa, and Havona. If there are a number of equally advisable routes, these will be put before you, and you will be permitted to select the one that most appeals to you. These seraphim then make recommendations to the four and twenty advisers on Jerusem concerning that course which would be most advantageous for each ascending soul.
You are not given unrestricted choice as to your future course; but you may choose within the limits of that which the transition ministers and their superiors wisely determine to be most suitable for your future spirit attainment. The spirit world is governed on the principle of respecting your freewill choice provided the course you may choose is not detrimental to you or injurious to your fellows.

A Wiser Plant

No rain today, we’ll have bright sun.
Still,Fall weather has begun.
Cooler weather overall.
That’s how we know it’s truly Fall.

Experience shows us that is true.
It helps us know just what to do.
Prepare for weather that is coming.
Protect our flowers, weather’s changing.

Some perennials need attention.
Protect their roots from cold’s intention.
Newly planted ones will need
Water, so their roots can feed.

Tender care when the seasons change
Promote things living on our range.
That includes all people, too.
Take care of them in what you do.

Doing what is best for all.
God wants us all to hear His call.
Do your best to make decisions
That help promote Truth and God’s Wisdom.

Wiser as we gain experience.
God knows us all with His omniscience.

In touch with true reality.

195:6.1 Scientists have unintentionally precipitated mankind into a materialistic panic; they have started an unthinking run on the moral bank of the ages, but this bank of human experience has vast spiritual resources; it can stand the demands being made upon it. Only unthinking men become panicky about the spiritual assets of the human race. When the materialistic-secular panic is over, the religion of Jesus will not be found bankrupt. The spiritual bank of the kingdom of heaven will be paying out faith, hope, and moral security to all who draw upon it “in His name.”

Peace Panic
Has 911 changed what we,
Do and see in 23?
We know it’s changed security
But has it change the way we see?

Events erupt from our past times.
We have parades by our design.
Parades can mark our victories,
But sometimes we are on our knees.

Bad things that happened in our past
Can have effects that last and last.
We had more joy in times gone by,
Or were we blind and did not try?

What have we learned from 911?
What did we do, what have we done?
More peace is what I wish to ask
Is that not truly our main task?

We didn’t turn the other cheek!
No we didn’t, we weren’t meek.
We tried to force our will on others.
It did not work, they are our brothers.

So much war gave others license
To invade despite defiance.
We’re consumed by wars destruction.
A pyrrhic victory’s in discussion.

Thank You, Father, You’re in charge.
So far, this war is not too large.
I pray for peace upon this planet
Before destruction makes us panic.

147:5.8 “This transformed woman whom some of you saw at Simon’s house today is, at this moment, living on a level which is vastly below that of Simon and his well-meaning associates; but while these Pharisees are occupied with the false progress of the illusion of traversing deceptive circles of meaningless ceremonial services, this woman has, in dead earnest, started out on the long and eventful search for God, and her path toward heaven is not blocked by spiritual pride and moral self-satisfaction. The woman is, humanly speaking, much farther away from God than Simon, but her soul is in progressive motion; she is on the way toward an eternal goal. There are present in this woman tremendous spiritual possibilities for the future. Some of you may not stand high in actual levels of soul and spirit, but you are making daily progress on the living way opened up, through faith, to God. There are tremendous possibilities in each of you for the future. Better by far to have a small but living and growing faith than to be possessed of a great intellect with its dead stores of worldly wisdom and spiritual unbelief.”

Spirit Paths
Perfect weather is on tap.
Look forward to a positive rap.
The day begins, it’s cool and bright.
We all wake up with the morning light.

Gradual change when change we must
Is easier than when change’s robust.
But real change must have its way.
We can improve our day-to-day.

Improving in the things we do.
Develop Faith in what is Truth.

The body ages, we get old.

114:7.6 Urantia mortals should not allow the comparative spiritual isolation of their world from certain of the local universe circuits to produce a feeling of cosmic desertion or planetary orphanage. There is operative on the planet a very definite and effective superhuman supervision of world affairs and human destinies.
Cope
Another hot one, and it’s dry.
Some plants will wilt before they die.
Wilting plants may still have flowers.
They give themselves to all that follows.

Sunflowers with seeds, a harvest crop
They flower indeed, with all they’ve got.
Combines will harvest all their seed.
Seed gets stored to suit our needs.

Growing crops, a farmer’s wish
But weather change can cause anguish.
A change in patterns can cause dry.
Weather can cause plants to die.

A plant that dies of drought can still
Produce some seed, in fact, most will.
Seeds produced outlast the drought.
When times are right, then most will sprout.

Outlasting bedtimes that beset us.
Endurance through the halls of crisis.
The seeds of faith create our hopes.
They sprout within, whene’re we cope.

So, cope with what you must today.
Find faith upon all your byways.
It exists within your mind.
It comes from something that’s Divine.

Thank You, Father, hopes won’t die!
Hope is a dream we wish to try!

We travel on a path that copes.

54:4.7 The mercy delays of time are by the mandate of the free will of the Creators. There is good to be derived in the universe from this technique of patience in dealing with sinful rebels. While it is all too true that good cannot come of evil to the one who contemplates and performs evil, it is equally true that all things (including evil, potential and manifest) work together for good to all beings who know God, love to do his will, and are ascending Paradiseward according to his eternal plan and divine purpose.

Patience
More than beauty this day holds.
There’s progress in the ways of old.
Wisdom gained by those before
Can have a place within our lore.

Learning’s what we do in school.
Books are written without rules.
Ideas flow from every mind.
A flow of thought that’s God‘s design.

So, who’s to say a book is wrong?
Ideas of things can be so strong.
Just because you don’t agree
Should you censor what you see?

Let others make their own decisions
Or what you will gain is their derision.
Do not force your own opinion!
God’s the one who has dominion.

Trust that God’s plan, based on love
Is what eventually evolves!
The plan Divine will come in time.

Patience with the way things are
Will light a path to things afar

126:3.8 While turning all these problems over in his mind, he found in the synagogue library at Nazareth, among the apocalyptic books which he had been studying, this manuscript called “The Book of Enoch”; and though he was certain that it had not been written by Enoch of old, it proved very intriguing to him, and he read and reread it many times. There was one passage which particularly impressed him, a passage in which this term “Son of Man” appeared. The writer of this so-called Book of Enoch went on to tell about this Son of Man, describing the work he would do on earth and explaining that this Son of Man, before coming down on this earth to bring salvation to mankind, had walked through the courts of heavenly glory with his Father, the Father of all; and that he had turned his back upon all this grandeur and glory to come down on earth to proclaim salvation to needy mortals. As Jesus would read these passages (well understanding that much of the Eastern mysticism which had become admixed with these teachings was erroneous), he responded in his heart and recognized in his mind that of all the Messianic predictions of the Hebrew scriptures and of all the theories about the Jewish deliverer, none was so near the truth as this story tucked away in this only partially accredited Book of Enoch; and he then and there decided to adopt as his inaugural title “the Son of Man.” And this he did when he subsequently began his public work. Jesus had an unerring ability for the recognition of truth, and truth he never hesitated to embrace, no matter from what source it appeared to emanate.

28:6.18 The universal economy is based on intake and output; throughout the eternal career you will never encounter monotony of inaction or stagnation of personality. Progress is made possible by inherent motion, advancement grows out of the divine capacity for action, and achievement is the child of imaginative adventure. But inherent in this capacity for achievement is the responsibility of ethics, the necessity for recognizing that the world and the universe are filled with a multitude of differing types of beings. All of this magnificent creation, including yourself, was not made just for you. This is not an egocentric universe. The Gods have decreed, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” and said your Master Son, “He who would be greatest among you let him be server of all.”

Searching
It’s cooler now, but heat’s a comin’.
We live the now as it’s becomin’.
On the crest of our existence.
We find good paths when we’re persistent.

Persistent in our search for Truth.
The ways of Love are never rude.
Look for things that need be done.
Then work until the setting sun.

Once the Truth within is found,
Then it can spread to those around.
It has a ring that is Truth’s timbre.
It is the Truth not propaganda.

The Truth will stand the test of time.
Your inner Truth is what’s Divine.
Temporal truths sometimes will fade.
But inner Truth will always stay.

In your inner life you ask
What’s the best way through this task?

Use your courage when dismayed.

Yes, sometimes we must use courage.
Faith in good we must encourage.

71:4.17 Idealism can never survive on an evolving planet if the idealists in each generation permit themselves to be exterminated by the baser orders of humanity. And here is the great test of idealism: Can an advanced society maintain that military preparedness which renders it secure from all attack by its war-loving neighbors without yielding to the temptation to employ this military strength in offensive operations against other peoples for purposes of selfish gain or national aggrandizement? National survival demands preparedness, and religious idealism alone can prevent the prostitution of preparedness into aggression. Only love, brotherhood, can prevent the strong from oppressing the weak.

Love & War
A little warmer, yes, today
But very pleasant anyway.
A day to do most anything
And be prepared for what life brings.

A day to increase beauty’s grace.
Find beauty in the things you face.
Don’t deface, please just enhance.
Keep up your pace, and do God’s dance.

What’s the best thing you can do?
Do it today with follow-through!

130:4.4 A one-eyed person can never hope to visualize depth of perspective. Neither can single-eyed material scientists nor single-eyed spiritual mystics and allegorists correctly visualize and adequately comprehend the true depths of universe reality. All true values of creature experience are concealed in depth of recognition.

Relation/Rumination
Once again, I wake to beauty.
Today we’re going to Boogie-Woogie.
Many things to do on tap.
We’ll fit in today, we will adapt.

Adapting to new ways of life.
Getting older causes strife.
Slowly, slowly, aging bones
Do their job, but with more groans.

Accept the fact that we won’t last.
Time is slow, we don’t fade fast.
Relentlessly, we age and slow.
It’s just the way our bodies go.

That perspective, it is not youth.
Youth develops till grown is truth.
But once grown, we go downhill.
Some are prolonged with cosmic pills.

Sooner or later, we all face
An end to how we use Your grace.
How it ends for each of us
Shows how we believe, and how we trust.

I believe we do go on.
We have a purpose in God’s song.
We can avoid, and take control
Of how we die, and become our souls.

But if we take the aging way
We find that life is but a play.
We’re on the stage with lines to speak
And then we find the lives we seek.

49:3.3 Millions upon millions of meteorites enter the atmosphere of Urantia daily, coming in at the rate of almost two hundred miles a second. On the nonbreathing worlds the advanced races must do much to protect themselves from meteor damage by making electrical installations which operate to consume or shunt the meteors. Great danger confronts them when they venture beyond these protected zones. These worlds are also subject to disastrous electrical storms of a nature unknown on Urantia. During such times of tremendous energy fluctuation the inhabitants must take refuge in their special structures of protective insulation.

Big Storms
Cooler weather for this summer
Has been a gift, it has been warmer.
The weather lately has been perfect.
Things may change, that is my verdict!

This string of perfect days can’t last.
Big storms will come, someday’s forecast.
When they come, we must be
Prepared, for there’s no mystery.

Strong winds of storms will have their way.
We must build well and also pray.
I predict we will invent.
New ways that are more wind resistant

Sloping curves against wind’s force.
No surfaces to bend its course.
Allow its winds to blow unhindered.
Allow its forces to be expended.

Storms are something we must weather.
Their existence truly matters.
Increasing force and frequency.
We must build resiliency.

Slowly, slowly, customs change.
Building codes, improvement brings.
We know, in fact, eventually
Big storms will come, are we ready?

We improve as we find ways

The way through storms is through Your door.
