Right now I am using the little I have to connect with every UB Leader here in Uganda so that I can get their independent mind on the Budget and what their expectations are as you know many of them are always reserved when it comes to coming together meetings. 

In this way am able to capture their thoughts and then be able to come up with something meaningful.

As we continue to share ideas on how to move forward with the shaping of the Urantia Book Reader movement in Uganda, Africa I managed to hold a feedback session with Bishop Moses and Wife Pastor Caroline yesterday 12th Oct on top of my visit to Bishop Joseph Oyuki and Wife on 1st October.

All these visits have been beneficial to the Urantia Book ministry and all stakeholders as we continue to connect with communities and shape the future of Urantia Book work.

During these visits, I have been able to interact and understand the needs of UB Leaders as these are more crucial conversations that have amended the continued work plan development and Budget for Ugandan Leaders.

Thanks to all of you for the amazing moments shared together and I look forward to Learn more with time to time.

At my end I have already developed something and work plan along with the Budget and a simple write up but this can not be shared without the knowledge of other Leaders so that is why am carrying out these private visits as I drive to each of their Location to get their ideas and what their challenges are and how we can move forward together.

Then on Wednesday I will be driving to Kaliro to meet with brother Gumpi Andrew as the final person

All these long movements I drive over 90kms away from Kampala to each of their locations to and from that's too much to be done in one day

As well, brother Billy got involved in a  nasty motorcycle accident that almost took his life. tomorrow I will be visiting him too. I am planning to buy for him some food stuffs.

I may be limited by funds to do that. But I will try. Tomorrow is the day.

Breaking Barriers for the New Revelations

Dear Readers,

We welcome you all to another second month of engagement for the year 2021. As Christians, we are part of a movement that seeks to draw all people into the gracious, reconciling love of God through Jesus Christ.

It is Christ’s call on our lives to know Him, to make Him known and in the process draw everyone into the life that is really life, the life lived with God and for the welfare of others and ourselves. 

Too often our Christianity is quiet, personal, merely a contained part of our lives. We tend to focus on our relationship with God, on our prayer life, on our call, on our experience of God. This is a wonderful and important part of the Christian life, but since no one can be a Christian on their own, it is important that we remember that we are part of a community and a specific kind of community at that. Jesus wants us to be known by our love for one another and so Christian community seeks both a vertical relationship with God and a horizontal relationship with others. That’s part of what church is about the shared connection to God and the shared connection to others.   

During the month of February, we have been engaging various government and non-governmental leaders especially those in civil service on how best they can get interested into the Urantia Book Revelations as part of their day to day references for their work. 

As well, we managed to involve our teams in drafting UB refresher training of trainers, and also planning for the upcoming months. Our achievements and future plans of the upcoming months are presented in the next pages of this report.

We therefore request everyone to take some time to read through and give feedback on how you feel towards our ministry work and how best we can be supported to perform better in increasing the UB Family of readers.

SUCCESSES OF THE MONTH:

STAKEHOLDERS MEETINGS: During the Month of February, we have continuously engaged various organizational leaders and government ministries on how best they can incorporate our UB revelations into their Weekly programs. As we continue to support the expansion of the Urantia Book Revelations in preparations for the August Conference here in Uganda, we are organizing pre-awareness sessions with various stakeholders in support of the Urantia Book introduction to Ugandan communities. All the leaders we have managed to engage are in full support of our work and the introduction to the Urantia Book Revelations. 

Along, we also conducted other awareness meetings with other partner leaders as a way to interest them into adopting the UB Revelations most importantly in sharing sessions at least 2 times a month. We have also been able to simplify the UB revelations to the teams that we engage especially those that show much interest in learning and adopting the UB revelations into their sharing meetings.

URANTIA BOOK REVELATIONAL SHARINGS:

During the Month of February, we managed to conduct several sharing sessions and planning meetings ahead of the community awareness series that we have planned starting in the month of March 2021.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS:

But given the goings on in the world, the turmoil and brokenness around us and Jesus’ command to make disciples of all people, God wants more from us as persons and more from us as the Church. As an Episcopal Leader, we try to keep in mind the personness of the life with God with the call to make disciples and grow the UB Revelations. During the month of February, we engaged various community members in sharing sessions and preparing them for what comes in the upcoming months.

As a norm for the Wilmat Urantia Book Readers give back to community, during the same month, we managed to support some orphaned and vulnerable children at Lord’s Mercy Children’s Foundation with basic items to 35 beneficiaries like pair of shoes, soap, body jelly among others along with sharing moments of our summaries of the UB Revelations.

UB REVELATIONAL EXPANSION FUTURE PLANS:

1. DATABASE DEVELOPMENT: During the last meeting with the Ugandan UB Team and the IFC, an idea was re-shared on how best we can develop a joint database to aid in the UB sharing sessions and meetings especially in capacity building series for members. As an organization, we currently have over 5,000 contacts that can be utilized for the UB revelations expansion.  

1. SMS ALERTS SHARINGS: From the Database development, an SMS platform that has been under use by the Wilmat Development Foundation under the Administration of Jockas Matte. In order to always send timely SMS UB sharing, updates and call to action for members who are interested in learning more and amplifying their faith.

1. TRANSLATIONAL MESSAGES: In our quest to Enrich more lives and contribute to the Expansion of the UB Family of Readers, our team has continued to translate some of the information especially for group sharing, however, more support is highly needed to translate more content for community beneficiaries to understand more easily. The fact that the UB Revelations are in English language, most of the Ugandan communities speak different dialect hence the need to translate into local languages that can be easily understood by readers.

1. LEADERS MEETING: In our quest to expand the UB Revelations, we are planning to hold at least two mega meetings as a way to introduce new members into the Urantia Book Revelations along with other programs that we have at hand to empower and strengthen our communities. We are already in the planning processes to conduct Monthly Awareness Mega sessions for new members to at least 200 members in a phase of 100 each session. These will contain Local District Leaders, Community members, government leaders and other Civil society members.

This weekend on January 4th 2021 we had a great outreach in Mayuge District Eastern Uganda with our amazing groups. All of these are group leaders, we gave them a feast as they shared a meal with their members.

We also awarded Certificates of Appreciation to groups in general that have been part and partial of our work since our establishment as a Foundation.

This reflection meeting involved all religions and we shared the summaries of the Urantia Book Revelations and exchanged thoughts on how to improve them better along with other programs that we have at hand. This was one of a kind Engagement that we have held for the first time and we believe that we can do more and better in times ahead.

On behalf of Wilmat Development Foundation I would like to take this opportunity give our heartfelt thanks to the Urantia Fellowship International Committee and their generous supporters from the greater Urantia family for providing the Jazz Mobile Address System used at this gathering. This battery backed Bluetooth Power Mic & Speaker system worked throughout the day and into the evening at full power. I preached throughout the day and those assembled enjoyed these sermons.

In Uganda, most Communities had lost hope due to Covid-19 pandemic and uncalled for Lockdowns that were initiated in various countries of Africa, and Uganda was never spared from that wave. 

Trauma has captured most Community Members and In building back better, We are engaging Communities in Eastern Uganda through training Communities on how to heal through  Spiritual Revelations of truth along with other Livelihood Programs that aim at generating finances for survival of their families and their caretakers at large. 

Women are the most affected and most engaged as they capture most of our lessons faster and share with their colleagues quickly for the building of a better world that can relay on truth not intimidations.

Galatians 5:22-23(KJV); But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

THE FRUIT OF LOVE

The first fruit of the spirit is love. 

That is the divine order as seen from our theme scripture. Joy is not the first fruit of the spirit; peace is not the first fruit of the spirit. Faith, meekness or temperance are not the first fruits of the spirit, LOVE is.

For any man whose spirit is regenerated in Christ, the first thing that comes out of such a man is love.

Our Born Again experience is an encounter with love because when a man meets God, the first thing He teaches him is love.

Love is the evidence that we have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light.

In the New Testament dispensation, it is our chief commandment(John 13:34). The scriptures call it the royal law(James 2:8)

It is royalty to love.

Love is manifest in and through you because it is not merely a seed but a fruit.

GOLDEN NUGGET: Our Born Again experience is an encounter with love because when a man meets God, the first thing He teaches him is love.

PRAYER: Father, I thank you for this Word. Thank you because your love has been shed abroad in my heart. It is in my nature to love because I am begotten of it. The Word says that by love the world will know that I am your disciple. I choose this love walk in all things and under all circumstances. To the glory of your name. Amen.

TODAY'S WORD:
Do you find that you are surrounded by people all the time, yet you still feel disconnected from them? In your family, is everyone going in different directions, always busy, always doing their own thing? I've found that we really have to make a conscious effort to walk and live in unity with the people in our lives and not allow distractions to pull us apart. Walking in a spirit of unity goes beyond just getting along, it's about going the extra mile to support and lift one another up. If you want to get the most out of life, you've got to draw a line in the sand and say, "I'm going to slow down and connect with the people I love. I'm not going to take my relationships for granted." Start today by calling a friend or family member whom you haven't talked to in a while. Reach out to them and let them know they are important. Make time to have dinner as a family and support each other's activities. When you walk and live in unity, you bless the Lord and open the door for Him to pour out His abundance in your own life in return!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father in heaven, thank You for the relationships in my life. Help me find creative ways to connect with the people I love. Help me to walk and live in a spirit of unity as You commanded in Jesus' name. Amen.

When Jesus changes your life, it’s natural to want to share that hope with the people around you." - Brother Matte 

It is our turn now to take time to get to know people and find out about their spiritual journeys and Focus more on listening to someone’s story and figuring out where that person is spiritually than on getting through a gospel presentation. 

“And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it” (1 Peter 3:15, NLT).

"One way to be prepared is to learn to tell our spiritual story." Brother Matte. This can be the story of how we became a Christian or it can be the story of how God changed us in a particular area of life. Whether we’re sharing about God’s forgiveness and love through our personal story or by just want to share the foundational message of the Bible, be ready to tell someone how to become a Christian.

"Building bridges over someone’s obstacles and objections takes love, wisdom and prayer. Remember that there may be more to a question than what’s on the surface." Brother Matte

Someone may say, “I can’t believe in God because there is too much suffering in the world.” You can present the best rational argument about the reason for suffering, but it won’t make a difference if that person’s true obstacle is that a loved one died a violent death.

People need to know that believing in God doesn’t require them to abandon their intellect, but they also need to know that God loves them and cares about their personal struggles.

It’s exciting to see people put their faith in Jesus, but that isn’t the end of the journey. In fact, it’s just the beginning of the exciting adventure of the Christian life. When people decide to follow Jesus, they need other Christians to continue to come alongside them so they can learn more about their new faith and how to grow closer to God.
