Baobab on a greater magnitude agitates for the need of acquiring knowledge and skills through education of children and therefore it’s upon such background that the foundation embarked on recruiting needy families as beneficiaries to foster continuity of school going children who really can’t sustain their education and genuinely need a helping hand plus also improve the welfare of homes where the children come from.

During the exercise, the team managed to recruit a number of families into the foundation, these families provided the team with detailed information concerning their backgrounds , daily activities (sources of income), welfare and struggles; both them and their children. The time when the world was badly hit with covid 19, many people in uganda suffered financial and health issues. This created an outrage in the country because most families could barely afford to survive due to the economic depression at that time.

On 3/4/21, as a way of celebrating easter, baobab children foundation, through charity gave back to the community in form of food stuffs and clothing to people of wanyange in jinja district.

Due to the world wide spread of corona virus(covid 19), the ugandan government through the leadership of the president with guidance from the ministry of health embarked on a national closure of schools and other sectors of the economy that were prone to increase the spread of covid 19 in the year 2019.

Katanga Slum is a settlement located in the valley between Mulago Hospital and Makerere University, in Uganda’s capital city, Kampala.Katanga’ residents live in informal settlements with no or limited access to basic services. This area receives new immigrants arriving from rural areas every day, pressure increases on the already poor living conditions. Comprehensive action is needed to tackle interconnected social, environmental and health issues. Today, they face difficulties brought about by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Baobab Children Foundation gladly participated in Kabaka’s birthday run an event organized to gather support for the HIV response in Buganda. The Run was held under the theme, “Men against AIDS to Save the Girl Child”, with the aim of continuing to create awareness about HIV/AIDS and encourage men to get tested, get treated and eventually protect women against the infection. Baobab Children Foundation (BCF) celebrated the 2022 festive holidays with the family of Foodstep. Foodstep Uganda was founded sixteen years ago by a Belgian couple Werner and Nathalie. Over the years, Foodstep has grown into a beautiful, safe and loving place for the children and is now home to over 50 children who all go to school, receive good medical care, nutritious meals, social care but above all lots of love!  Continue Reading>>>
