Larry Mullins tells us that it was Lena Sadler who started the Forum in 1923 after the group have had about 20 years working experience with the Sleeping Subject [SS]. Initially Dr. William Sadler was not convinced of the authenticity of the materials until 1936 when the Jesus Papers came out and a revelation of the personality types of the 12 Apostles finally pulled him in completely. Several times, he wanted to abandon the project but Lena kept him at it. 
 
Funny enough men are always given all the credits. We hear so much of Dr. William Samuel Sadler. Little is said of Dr. Lena Sadler. Hahaha.... Kudos to Lena! Kudos to womanhood! :)

Commentary: 
 
As we reflect on the process involved in the delivery of the Urantia Book, Paper 77, Section 8, Verse 5 and sub-verse 3 comes to mind:



UB77:8.5, "The United Midwayers of Urantia are organized for service with the planetary seraphim in accordance with innate endowments and acquired skills, in the following groups: ...

--> 3. Contact personalities. In the contacts made with the mortal beings of the material worlds, such as with the subject through whom these communications were transmitted, the midway creatures are always employed. They are an essential factor in such liaisons of the spiritual and the material levels."



Some questions come to mind:

Various Celestial Personalities made contact with the brother (the "Sleeping Subject") through whom the revelations were uttered. Midwayers played very important roles to make sure this "contact" and the delivery of the messages were successful. If it happened then, can it not happen today? Is it not happening today, through some people in the exact same manner or in a different but related manner? Why not?



We are told that, "In the contacts made with the mortal beings of the material worlds..." This implies that such contacts are a continuous, factual reality on the planet. Messages are continuously being delivered through "liaisons of the spiritual and the material levels". And this can occur through various means or methods. The method of the Sleeping Subject is just one of many.



A very important attribute of a sincere and honest truth seeker is, just like Jesus, to develop the keen ability to identify truth regardless of its source or method of delivery; to bravely look at a "message" and allow the Spirit of Truth, Thought Adjuster (God within) and/or Holy Spirit to minister to him or her. Such a truth seeker is not in a hurry to accept anything and not in a rush to criticize or condemn anything simply because the mode or method of delivery is unfamiliar. You have a "truth bell" within to help you along the way. Please, let's ponder on this for a minute... Thank you.

[2nd Edition]]]> Imagine you are in country A. You are on your way to country B. In your heart, you are already in the new and better and greater country - country B. But you still have some of the ways and culture of country A. Nevertheless, you are now advancing, taking in more and more of country B's mindset, culture, beliefs, etc. It is not a very easy journey. It is not a piece of cake. There are struggles. But you are being nudged and led and assisted by an unseen hand, taking you closer and closer to the better country, better place. There is effort, struggle, conflict, faith, determination, love, loyalty, and progress.

Now imagine you have reached the borders (borderland). You are on the verge of a great achievement. You are about to succeed in totally and completely giving up the mindset, ways, culture, beliefs, etc of country A and wholeheartedly and completely embracing those of country B. You are at a crossroad. If you succeed in getting into country B, you would never ever be able to go back to country A. Backsliding or changing your mind becomes impossible - practically impossible. You continue to make major decisions, big decisions in this respect. You are at the brink of total self destruction and complete soul reconstruction. More powers and maturity come to you to enable you align your heart and mind completely to practically doing the will of God - to FULLY and EASILY implementing the culture of country B, without any more struggles. THE DAYS OF STRUGGLING ARE ABOUT TO BE OVER - completely over. 

If you really succeed here, if you cross the borderland, you become like a superhuman - it is like attaining the first circle of cosmic consciousness. It's like being fully qualified for Thought Adjuster fusion (a.k.a. 'rapture' or Elijah translation/Enoch translation). Of course, fusion can be delayed to allow you continue your life and work here on Earth.


You become completely like Jesus - no negative ego whatsoever. You are dead to sin, self, pride, etc. You are now a manifestation of Jesus in all totality. You have crossed the BORDERLAND. Hallelujah! Glory to God! Amen.

Transitioning or maturing out of the "borderland" is quite an uphill task! Some people have experienced emotional upheavals... Victory lies in boldly holding onto God's hands in FAITH; spending time in prayers and meditation; allowing for great changes to occur on your inside; responding willfully to the divine outworking on your inside - reflecting on your challenges and co-creating/seeing the victory or God's desired outcome through faith, prayers, meditation.... Declare, speak forth and see the new "you", the more matured place, etc you desire to be... 

Some people reject deep or higher level spirituality because they don't want to summon the courage, guts and faith to deal with the borderland. Going through the borderland is just inevitable. Enjoy the ride! Your TA (Thought Adjuster, God within, the Inner Voice) would guide you. May the 'force' be with you! Hahaha...

Another way I look at borderland is this: the final struggle between the flesh and the spirit - the arena, close to spiritland, where the two natures of man square it all out - the final struggle, the last fight, to tip man over completely to the spirit realm - higher spiritual maturity and freedom - 'spiritland', where you are completely aligned with the WILL and WAY of God. 

Borderland' is completely eradicated when you attain your own individual era of Light and Life. Jesus attained this while on Earth, in the flesh. He was indeed the greatest mortal (as 'son of man') ever to have lived! His was an outstandingly remarkable feat!! Hahaha....

In this present planetary dispensation, for a vast, vast majority of us, this very same feat would be accomplished in the heavenly realms (in the Mansion Worlds) - after the animal nature (or mark of the beast) is fully and completely metamorphosed into true spirit nature or even partial spirit nature (i.e. higher levels of the morontial nature) - I believe… 

The Mansion Worlds (a.k.a. "many Mansions" that Jesus talked about when he was here) are Heavenly Places (Planets) of unfathomable joy, love, peace, etc and also of learning, growth, major decisions, big, big decisions - "decision-choices".... Realms of testings or challenges to fully and wholeheartedly choose the Father's plan in ways that allow for higher soul growth, 'earthshaking' soul transformation, soul ascension, unlimited purging of every and all things carnal, animalistic, bestial... 

One thing is certain, the closer we get to God, the easier it all becomes. The Urantia Book [UB] puts it nicely: Everyday a righteous man lives, it becomes easier to do the right thing or to do good (or to obey the divine will) {paraphrase}.

UB196:3.34 presents three (3) major phases of the borderland experience:
1.) The borders of self-consciousness.
2.) The dim realms of embryonic soul-consciousness.
3.) The borderland of spirit-consciousness - CONTACT WITH THE DIVINE PRESENCE. 
From this point moving forward, CONSTANT, UNINTERRUPTED CONTACT with the divine presence, the God-within, the Still Small Voice, your Thought Adjuster is possible! :)

And the righteousness we have is God's righteousness - this is what God consciousness is all about. Your intimate relationship with your Thought Adjuster [TA - God within] leads you "Godward". It is a relationship that transforms your mind and makes you increasingly "godlike". 

A wholehearted devotion to the Adjuster's plan (God's plan) "spiritizes" you. You grow in grace and are made to be "increasingly" spiritually minded. The God-man (or God-woman) relationship makes you increasingly divine. This is your heritage. You receive more and more divine endowments and divine ennoblement, for your are "blessed with all spiritual blessings in the Heavenly Places in Christ Jesus". True spiritual growth means tapping more and more into the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of Jesus Christ [Christ Michael]. 

As you partner with your Maker, you "are becoming God" and God (your Thought Adjuster, the Still Small Voice, the Inner Voice) is becoming you. You experience divinity in God. Your God experiences humanity in you.

"The spiritual technique of SALVATION occurs when an individual accepts and is "quickened" by the expression of God's LOVE and MERCY. Salvation is yours when you get a revelation of God's love and mercy: a revelation or understanding-experience that causes you to open your heart to God, to trust Him, to welcome Him into your life; to surrender all to Him as your Father. These acts bring you to a place where you begin to see others as your brothers and sisters and you develop FAITH in your eternal salvation - that you will exist in and with God forever. Your heart becomes totally committed to doing His will. This is possible because of the GRACE and GOODNESS of God. Herein is your salvation."

The Purpose of Ministering Spirits/Angels.

The primary purpose for which they were created by God was to be servants (i.e., “ministers”) to those who are to inherit salvation.

They are beings of great wisdom, “to know all things that are in the earth” (2 Samuel 14:20).

“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14).

Urantia Book 38:0.1, "Angels are the ministering spirits of time; authorities, the messenger hosts of space; powers, the higher personalities of the Infinite Spirit."

True love is absent there. 

In the spirit realms, or in your spiritual life, you may run into serious problems if you allow your heart to desire to kiss, caress, penetrate another individual and to do so without allowing the energies or vibrations of love to flow... This is why some people cheat, tell lies, use and dump others... 

If you can cultivate your heart and mind to allow yourself to "do unto others what you wish to be done to you" - under the banner of true love, then you'll soar above lust. How can one achieve this: prayer, meditation and drawing power from God-within. Also common sense practices are important too... 

Some people hate to have thoughts of sex in their minds. They believe it constitutes evil and can lead to sin or iniquity. But Jesus said it's not what goes into you that defiles you. It's what comes out of you. The act of "seeing" or "looking" in and of itself is not wrong. The question is: what is coming out of you? So if thoughts of sexual desires come to your mind, you should learn to allow GOOD STUFFS to come out of the experience. So please ask yourself: how can truth, beauty and goodness COME OUT OF me through this experience? Ask. And your God would assist you. "Ask and you shall receive." We have to learn to talk to God about sex. Very important. Tell Him how you feel. Tell him what you think. No condemnation. Be free. Don't be afraid. "Fear not!" Express yourself sincerely. And you'll gain strength! 

Stop fighting it or struggling and allowing guilt to spoil your day. "It's not by your might or power but by the spirit of God." So relax. Take a deep breath, be comfortable in your skin and with God, co-create a reality that constitutes truth, beauty and goodness. Keep working on it. You'll get better with time.
