Wealthy - He was a wealthy man, living a luxurious life.

Fellow Urantians, brothers and sisters!

I bring you warm greetings wherever you are and congratulate you upon coming to an end of this year, which has been a very difficult one for many of us. I thank God for the gift of life. It is not something to take for granted, that those of us who are alive today have that opportunity. I send deepest condolences and sympathies to all members who have lost loved ones this year and pray that those who are sick will have a quick and full recovery.

As we come to the end of the year, my message will focus on three issues: 1. A MESSAGE OF GRATITUDE Let me take this opportunity to send deep gratitude to all brothers who continue to support the FER ASCENDERS Fellowship community Kaliro Urantia Book ministry. As we all know, at the start of the year, we had continuous lockdowns. Many of our brothers lost jobs, got sick, ran short of food and other difficulties, like failure to pay rents. As I write this, we still have hundreds of our members in different places across the country who are facing difficulties getting what to eat and shelter. There are several other comrades who have lost limbs in this period/ year while many others are limping. I want to salute EVERYONE who has made any form of sacrifice in order to support us in such difficulties and advance the teachings of Christ and love of God. Our brothers and sisters in the Europe, Asia, USA, Canada, and the rest of the world, I THANK YOU. Thank you for knocking on doors, speaking out, organising fundraisings, and supporting the missionaries with logistics and other related support. Thank you all for the tireless efforts.

Even after lockdowns and many of us proved so weak and disappointing, many of you could have felt discouraged. But I am thankful to all of you who have not given up on us. I want to thank, in a special way, all our brothers outside Uganda who continue to support our missionary projects in different ways. The individuals, the artists who have been raising voices to inspire thousands, the international spiritual family network which has continued to shine a light of hope to all missionaries and all those who have contributed in one way or another, THANK YOU. I thank the millions of people in the UB Family who send us prayers and messages of encouragement. THANK YOU

2. THE PROGRESS OF FER ASCENDERS FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY. Many people might be wondering how the true gospel is possible in outreach in FER ASCENDERS FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY UGANDA stands. Let me use this message to once again affirm to all our BROTHERS AND SISTERS that the outreach of the New Revelations is in the favor of the people of Urantia family. All members of the Urantia Family have given what they can to support the ministry. Yes, who have many difficulties as Ugandans and has continued to move through such hardships. But we still stand strong as we used to be. Our greatest achievement so far, has been standing sttong even when there are reasons to give up. The whole world now knows that Uganda has got this gift of the new revelations. This is so important.

Secondly, the members of FER ASCENDERS FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY UGANDA are now more awakened and ready to work together to create a joint effort towards the progress and outreach of the UB knowledge. I am proud in seeing the growth and development of FER ASCENDERS Fellowship community from a group to an organization of 740 members, young and old much more interested in the outreach of the true message. Establishment of an organization registered as Urantia Book Fellowship and based on the outreach of the true gospel is not and has never been easy anywhere in Uganda. And those who have managed to do it earlier have registered as savings, development association but thank God that we shall be the first to register as an organization based on the outreach of the true gospel. I thank everyone who has contributed to the achievements registered this year.

We may not have gotten our ultimate goal yet, but I want to assure everyone that we are on the right trajectory. If each one of us makes a commitment to do twice as much as we have done this year in this effort, we shall all be amazed at what we shall achieve. I say all this, well knowing that God is on our side.

3. UNITY/ TEAM WORK. After the first step towards the establishment of FER ASCENDERS FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY UGANDA and calls for help we have raised as individuals, group and family; these have been calls for food help, rents, medical, clothing and ministerial requirements, I read with dismay several comments on social media about same issues. While most are sponsored or posted by people with a clearly destructive agenda, others are posted by people with genuine intentions, but who clearly do not have the full picture. Some people made it a point to accusing us leaders, arguing that perhaps if we are united we would be able to help ourselves out of such dilemma.

First of all, WE are really Many and loving but all Cannot speak at the same time. We are many but we all have special disability each of us with a point to seek for help. We have tried to set up different projects like; The giving hand, Jesus’5000 FARM AND Gifts to our Father’s Orphanage. All these have not gotten funds to support and have not yielded good.

Away from that, I wish to remind all Urantia Family members that the FER ASCENDERS FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY UGANDA is an organization established to outreach the teachings of the UB to the most local communities and to marginalized group of people especially those who are ignored like; the blind, crippled and Many others in the best way found appropriate. We teach them the love and will of God as expressed by Jesus in Part IV of the UB.

When we formed the FER ASCENDERS FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY UGANDA, we brought together all members who had received the UBs in their groups with all shades of opinion. This is because in our principle we believe that all Urantia Book readers will need to come together and forge a way forward towards a New Urantia. The challenge has always been the dishonesty in some cases and inconsistency in other cases. Some actors have clearly placed personal interest ahead of the general interests. There are many lessons we have learnt in trying to forge this unity, most of which we do not make public, because giving certain details can easily lead to further mistrust and suspicion.

For a certain period of time before the creation of FER ASCENDERS FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY UGANDA , we sat in several meetings with local leaders, UB group leaders and comrades within different formations. Our view was that we needed to tackle all our challenges with a single hand, strong hands so that we would then scatter our energies across the country in trying to promote UB knowledge all over. As we were starting up, we requested every hand available for help but of our brothers who contacted, were not happy with what we decided to start they were strong pillars and part of some churches.

Some of these people were UB members, but felt that if we had registered UB based organization, we would take over their space in UB family. You can imagine! While we are busy fighting to create a strong base for the UB knowledge outreach, some actors were very comfortable with their positions! As everyone can see, this is information that we normally get and decide to keep with ourselves, but I thought it is important to share it so that the people of UB family understand the dynamics at play, and place the most trust in the rightful people.

No one else has potential to speak about such since many have kept on saying all is well. Of course not all actors within the Family have this negative attitude. There are very many decent, clear-headed individuals whose objective is to see the progress of the UB in Uganda. With all these setbacks, we have not given up on unity, but our view remains that the most important unity will have to come from the people of the UB family, and not just individuals. Of course, we continue to engage with all Ugandans, be it political leaders or not, on the urgent need to deliver ourselves from the crisis and enslavement which we face.

This coming year, we must make a conscious decision to work together as comrades because the alternative would be to resign ourselves to a terrible fate which we don’t wish to. In the coming year, each one of us should simply double his or her effort while trusting in God. Young students of the UB at Gadumire village, reading and sharing the UB on November 18th 2021

It was a pleasure to see these Young students of the UB at Gadumire village, reading and sharing the UB at their study center in the  courtyard.
This was held on 18th Nov, 2021.
They were four students in attendance

The above are children and students studying the UB, they were recruited under the UB School outreach program of FER ASCENDERS Fellowship community.
 

I thank God that they are still standing and are able to read the UB and explain their perception. This group is having a total of 15 children girls and boys...
They meet every Friday for the reading of the UB...

We have six groups of this kind but I meet one per week to help them have a better interpretation of the UB....

The biggest challenge here is transport. Meeting transport fees to these Young children is a serious matter or limitation to me. 

It was their turn to read and share their interpretation of the lines...
The theme was: ' the impact of the society, environment, parents and religions on Jesus' life and to the contemporary minister. '
They were reading section;  3, 5, 6 and 7.

We always suggested or recommended the buying of a motorcycle to simplify transport challenges. This group is located at Gadumire, and the young children above are dedicated to the reading and sharing of the UB knowledge. However, they also have limitations. These include: sits, communication and others as shall be shared...

Hello all dear members, Friends of Urantia Book Fellowship , brothers and and sisters...
Am Andrew Cohen Gumpi the executive Director FER ASCENDERS Fellowship community based at Kaliro Uganda.

FER ASCENDERS Fellowship community is a local based organization built for the Urantia book outreach. Aiming at doing the will of our supreme father and our brother Michael.
We engage in many activities that helps to express the true love of our father to the rest of the world as presented in the Urantia book.

We also put to mind Jesus' directives / last instructions to his disciples in:

TUESDAY MORNING IN THE TEMPLE and 175:1.10

 

  ^175:1.10 "While you should honor your rulers and reverence your teachers, you should call no man Father in the spiritual sense, for there is one who is your Father, even God. Neither should you seek to lord it over your brethren in the kingdom. Remember, I have taught you that he who would be greatest among you should become the server of all. If you presume to exalt yourselves before God, you will certainly be humbled; but whoso truly humbles himself will surely be exalted. Seek in your daily lives, not self-glorification, but the glory of God. Intelligently subordinate your own wills to the will of the Father in heaven.

We involve the following groups of people in our ministry as they are our true brothers and sisters;
1. Young.
2. Middle aged.
3. Aged/ elderly.
4. People with disability.
5. Single mothers.
6. Widows/ widower.

We are looking at the following to build a healthy and developed God's kingdom, most importantly peaceful, loving and caring.
1. We do farming to get food for our people and simple funds to cater for simple needs.
2. We support health feeding practices.
3. We encourage and use food medicine.
4. We dress and house the needy and poor.
5. We teach the UB to all communities in the best way possible and fit for that particular group.
6. We outreach the new revelations through performing arts like; singing, dancing, performing drama and poetry.
7. We have involved the local communities by allowing other people of the community to participate in our programs like the giving hands.
8. We offer guidance and counseling.
9. We support and encourage education of children.
10.We teach hands on skills
11. We encourage love, love, peace and hard work.

FER ASCENDERS' Fellowship community Kaliro .... Has 781 disciples.
We take our operations in areas of :

1. Kaliro district.
2. Buyende district.
3. Palisa district.
4. Namutumba district.
5. Butalejja district.
6. Luuka district.
7. Iganga district.
8. And recently Mbale.

HOW WE COMMUNICATE.

Many of our leaders are locally based and have got no phones.
We communicate through letters that are written and shared at the end of the week.
Here leaders write questions and their challenges and then are responded to....

We highly appreciate your help, contributions and then welcome all those who have managed to join us for the great kingdom of our father.

RECORD KEEPING.
Here we keep records of our communications , minutes, letters, receipts, and other related document.
They are typed edited and printed. Then they are kept. Processing and keeping these records is very important to us ......

BACK GROUND.
I started as single reader, joined by my wife.
Many other friends joined forming a group.
Many others joined forming more groups and as groups were many we formed a community of UB readers.

Upon the expansion of this community to other districts we are now advised to transform into an organization and now FER ASCENDERS Fellowship community is taking it's Journey moving towards registration as an organization. As per now we are constituting this organization and then we shall register.
We are finding a lot of challenges to do this and the greatest challenge is shortage of funds.
Our printing system is down [ computer and printer] and therefore processing documents is a big challenge.
We therefore at this point seek to be supported.

I Am for the growth and strength of the leaders of FER ASCENDERS Fellowship community Kaliro. Because it was not a simple journey to go and seeing them gathered in unity is a pleasure.....

On the motorcycle are four  boxes of Urantia books already packed and tied to be carried by a UB leader of Butalejja district carrying them for his students.

Then there's nothing like a business in this UB outreach mission to local communities.

There are lots of tough moments I faced than joy but we keep moving forward hoping for a better tomorrow just like Michael himself...

I am finding ways  to strengthen this community and helping them to stand upright and strong to outreach the new revelations to the most  local communities....

All what I am  trying to do is to let us find out good reasons to move on and the best ways to live on with the missionary journey besides the worldly demands to say; social, economic and political.

I have not been a religious leader of a big organization until now........

I started with a few disciples and they have multiplied in the long run from five to ten and twenty to the current 718 by registration...

This development and expansion has been with support of SFN the IFC and the Urantia Fellowship.

I think that funds from the IFC are grants and donations by individual members of the world family but still I don't believe that the growing FER ASCENDERS Fellowship community Kaliro will forever depend on the IFC grants and donations.

I think it's okay to start innovating ways of sourcing funds to support our activities besides the grants and donations.

These meetings were held in one of our rented meeting Halls secured by the Urantia Fellowship 2nd Miler Grants at Buyuge....

This meeting was attended by 22 new student members. 

We thank all those who have always helped us throughout the year, The Urantia Fellowship for the funds to rent these halls and for travel. The planning committee was held to design the annual work plan 2021 - 2022. And the annual budget.
Planning how we can move on with the ministry besides the COVID-19 pandemic.

UB Book Distribution Challenges  2021-09-05

I have just reached home from Jinja with my package of the Urantia Books .

The journey has been such hard, it rained beyond measurable and it hit me seriously while Riding from Jinja to Kaliro and I have been forced to park in someone's veranda for the torrential rains to stop coming down.

I got in an accident on the muddy roads but I thank God I have not been badly injured and neither were the  packages of Urantia books affected except the mortal bike which got some damages.

So there's need for me and my team to have a rotation visit for the study and initiation of the new readers into the family.

I have been provided with the information from leaders but planning to move around taking down the information for our study group records and meeting with the new members.

Otherwise, there are seven meeting halls being rented for Students of the UB.

And and about 120 UB distributed. I think there is serious need for me to follow up all these activities.
